Excellent, although we had difficulty getting lower AC temperature.

Excellent location, great staff and great service

Small room overlooking the square. Nothing inherently wrong with it but no frills. E.g. only one bedside table and one drinking glass in a room clearly for two people. Quite noisy outside until late. Breakfast fine, but nothing special. Overall the room was ok for a couple of nights but don’t expect anything else. Think advertising as a four star hotel is pushing it a bit.

Super location in the center of Riva. Breakfast with via of the lake, short walk to good restaurants and if you, like us, are there with bikes there is a separate garage for them.
Service and rooms are excellent and spacious

Nice hotel with good service and perfect location in the centre of Riva del Garda. Be aware that you are allowed to drive into the main square of the city to find the hotel and unload your luggage.
3.0
Nice and friendly staff. The room was big and in good condition with AC. The overall standard did however not feel like a 4 star hotel (more like a 3 or 2.5) and the breakfast left some room for improvement, especially the coffee. But we’re happy anyway.

The hotel is lovely and its location is great. My challenges with the hotel were all about the hidden charges. We stayed here last year and enjoyed free parking, free use of the spa facilities and bikes, etc. This year, because we had booked through Hotels.com and not via the hotels website, we we now being charged for the things we had enjoyed for free the previous year. It seemed very underhand.

Delightful and very helpful young woman at checkin who was wonderful. Fabulous location on piazza with all available within a few moments walk Wished we were staying longer
6.0
Amazing location, right next to the beautiful waterfront and piazza in Riva del Garda. The beds were comfortable, but our suite was in the "attic" and we had to be careful not to hit our heads while walking around our room. That would have been ok, but the biggest problem is there was zero sound insulation between our room and the next room and hallway, so we were disturbed at all hours by other people talking. Otherwise we would have liked the hotel, but I probably won't stay there again because our sleep was disturbed.

Good hotel and great location, staff very helpful.
Only downside was two lifts plus stairs to negotiate to our room.
Would stay again.

Except for difficult access to drive to the hotel, we were happy. the reception was very service minded and friendly.
Very nice location, good breakfast.
This hotel can be highly recomended.

Fantastic stay. Great spa. Very well located.

Staff were so helpful. Hotel was very modern and clean. Spa facilities were free to use and some of the best I’ve seen. Location was perfect. Not a bad word to say about it.

This is an older but cozy hotel with pleasant service and a central location in the center of Riva del Garda. The hotel has parking in a parking garage a short walk away (+/- 5 min.). The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast good. The hotel is a good starting point for a pleasant stay in this beautiful city.

Great location. The beds were a little hard for some of our trip. Rooms were spacious enough.

Great location, friendly staff, great selection for breakfast

Our stay at Hotel Portici was spoilt by a waiter in the breakfast room who was very rude and argumentative. Such a shame as otherwise the hotel was great.

Great location to the city!!! Lovely staff- parking is challenging- but doable! Hotel was clean and lovely breakfast! Fresh juice bar!!!

Its nice, but the spa thing is kind of lacking

Loved the location of this hotel set on the square surrounded by restaurants with the lake round the corner. Despite the storm that evening, we had a lovely meal. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit the pool, but the hotel and our room were lovely and spacious.

This is a magnificent location in a wonderful town. You can drive in to the non-driving square to unload luggage if you go there and ask for a pass. Then park in the nearby garage which they have a discounted rate. Walking around the town from this location is magical. They are just next to a beautiful square and the huge lake. Lots of unique little shops and more than enough eating and drinking opportunities. We loved the hotel. It is often complicated to get to your room. We had to go up 1 1/2 floors, across a hallway, then up another floor. Lifts are very slow, so you might want to take an overnight bag only from your car, like we did due to other reviews. Breakfast in the lower restaurant was very complete and good quality.

My wife and I were elated on the Hotel and staff. The locale is breath-taking. Thanks again!

We stayed here for two nights while vacationing in the Lake Garda region.
Overall this is a fantastic hotel. I would strongly recommend it to anyone staying in Riva.
To start, the room we had was very large and well equipped. The bedroom was set off to the back of the room, and came with a large bed and tv. There was a also a very large living room-type area with a couch, chair and another television. The wooden beams, and angled ceilings were a nice rustic touch.
The private bathroom near the door was also a good size, with very high ceilings, although it did not have a tub and the shower stall was very small.

In first, the hotel is very difficult to find. Cannot get to the hotel with the car, which we had to leave quite away in a park-meter area to walk to the hotel and ask 4 different persons where it was. Even when we got close to it, it was only written as a restaurant, not an hotel.
Once we finally got checked in, we opted to get to the underground parking shared by the hotels in the same area. That was OK, but relatively pricey at 15 euros per day.
The room itself was OK, clean and comfortable. WiFi was not very fast.
Restaurant was not good. My wife's dinner plate was a hot dog sausage with some veggies. Very ordinary.
Location is very good, right in the main square near the lake. View was very nice. Breakfast was complete, with eggs and a variety of pastries, bread, cheese and cold meats. Coffee included but from a coffee machine, not a real espresso/cappuccino.

Good spot, nor especially cheap but after all it is in a prime location.
Right in the centre of things for restaurants with harbour side bars for people watching.
Much better than some of the more pretentious spots which are a bit out of things

Staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean and offered a nice view of the square. Breakfast was okay, more cafeteria style than gourmet.

The hotel was perfectly placed one street back from the waterfront and just off the main square in an adjoining square.
The room was clean and of a reasonable size although the view was to the back of the hotel, I think you would have to specify a room with a view.
Breakfast was varied and available between the usual times. There was plenty laid on, and it seemed fairly often replenished.
The hotel has its own private parking for €4 (if memory serves me correctly) a night in a secure car park a short walk away.
The staff were very helpful.
I had one problem whilst there. I was under the impression from Expedia that I had paid for the room already, however the hotel had not taken the money from my account (I had to check my bank statements online to make sure of this), so I was presented with a bill at the end of my stay. This was clearly a surprise.
