Beautiful hotel and grounds, our second time. Whilst the staff seemed nice, non were engaging or overtly friendly. We got engaged here last year and my brother ordered a bottle of bubbly to our room and the hotel staff brought it to the room with a blue sticky note on it. No hotel card to write the note on it. During this stay, there was a room upgrade available for a small price which we were happy to pay. Besides the staff friendliness the only other comment i would make is the breakfast. The waiter knew nothing about what was gluten free and came back to take my order without letting me know what i could eat from the buffet or the menu. I guess what i am saying is its a beautiful hotel but a long long way from the 5star service we expected which is a shame.

Mediocre stay for a 5 star hotel. Hotel staff weren’t friendly - any request seemed like a big effort for them, no turn down service, water glasses not changed everyday, welcome desserts on arrival containing nuts so no regard for potential allergies. For breakfast, the Hollandaise wasn’t creamy, but quite tart. Next day the bacon was burnt to the point it couldn’t be cut. Didn’t have breakfast again and ate out the next 3 days. Had a burger from the bar one evening, that was burnt on one side. Outdoor pool is nice but only opens at 8 despite being unsupervised.

10/10 stay. Beautiful surroundings and fantastic service. Magical stay

Fantastic pool and gardens. Very good service and good room, stayed in cosy room and was a good size with walk in shower.

Lovely relaxing stay for a short Babymoon. A repeat customer of this hotel as the staff & surrounds are just perfect … can’t wait to return.

Our room was flooded when rained heavily. Had to change room at late evening. Hotel staff were a bit aloof and distant. Didn’t get the welcoming and friendly feel about the place. Wouldn’t stay again

Floorboards are creaky so not good for light sleepers. Drinks too over 20mins to arrive in the garden and I got food poisoning from undercooked sausages at breakfast. The spa was amazing and staff are very nice in general

We stayed in the Panel 11 room which was one of the historic master suites and was fantastic. We had an amazing meal in the Michelin star Tudor Pass a taster menu which was perfect.
The service was first class staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. You must sit in the gardens with are very well maintained afternoon tea was also a great experience.

An incredible historic venue, stunning gardens, attentive staff great food.
Surpassed my every expectation

Lovely location and the grandiose building is memorable pity that service does not match the surroundings, they messed up our breakfast and we saw rubbish around the grounds and pool area in the evening that were still there the next day…. The attention to detail that you would expect from a SLH is absent

Great place to stay with lovely grounds and helpful staff.

We absolutely loved our stay and will comeback whenever we fly through Heathrow. It's a gorgeous country estate with lovely surroundings (complete with a real moat), beautiful decor and a fantastic restaurant. We had a delicious dinner with truly gourmet food and outstanding service. It's only 15 minutes from the airport and we wish had stayed more than 1 night. We cannot wait to go back.

Disappointing stay. The hotel itself is beautiful - lovely decor and grounds. However, service was mediocre and disorganised, and the hotel’s tidiness and general attention to detail in communal areas (other than the reception) were poor.
Empty glasses and dirty plates with leftover food were not being cleared away all over the hotel (by the pool, the bar, in the gardens, in the corridors). This was attracting ants and flies by both the pool and in the gardens. Witnessed multiple different guests having to ask staff to clear things away and it still wasn’t done, or was left half done.
Getting a drink delivered at the pool was taking about 30-45 mins. There was also not enough mattresses for all of the sun loungers by the pool so some had no cushions on.
The service in the bar and garden during the day and in the evening was equally slow and poor. There was at least three staff around the bar in the evening but they did not seem to be working effectively, so everyone was waiting ages to order and to then receive drinks. Multiple staff walked past tables in the garden that needed clearing and just ignored them, leaving guests looking for a clean table and unable to find one.
The food at breakfast was also very average and not five star quality.

Beautiful country estate, outstanding food and service..

Always a sanctuary of peace but close to Heathrow.

Absolutely stunning property, takes you back in time, lots of history, one of my favourite places and I have been to many. ❤️

Beautiful place to spend some time.

This property is stunning! I booked this hotel for the grounds and they absolutely did not disappoint. It's much larger than I anticipated, which made it great for morning and afternoon walks. We had a king bed studio-style room that was very charming. Dinner at The Tudor Pass left us a bit hungry due to portion size, but they are generous with food during breakfast. The hotel has a historical, grand feel to it, which I LOVE, but if you're seeking the generic feel of a Marriott, please don't come here. Great Fosters has so much character. I would definitely stay again.

The Property is a stunning Tudor Building with fabulous Gardens, the dinning experience was also very good. Hotel was clean and service was generally good

Lovely stay in a very impressive hotel - the setting and gardens are stunningly beautiful. So much history. The food was delicious. All staff were very friendly. We stayed the night before catching flights from Heathrow and what a way to start the holiday!

A luxurious property set in stunning grounds. Exceptional staff and the Michelin Star Tudor Pass restaurant was simply outstanding.

Exceptional hotel & servive

Upgraded so real bonus. Room beautiful (25) also bathroom. Only niggles were toilet roll holder too close to toilet - awkward to use when sitting down. Plus tea and coffee facilities in lobby of room so a bit chilly in the morning when wanting to make tea plus the door squeaked (wouldn't stay open) everytime you went in and out so bit annoying

Staff absolutely made our stay. So lovely and accommodating and kind. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much

Great location for the airport

Hotel is very beautiful

The property is absolutely lovely, as is the food. The staff are excellent.

Like a National Trust day out but you get to stay overnight! With its epic, historic buildings, beautifully kept gardens & with the addition of contemporary luxury. The character features such as the front door for example, have been preserved & reinforce the authenticity of the place.
Staff were helpful & on hand at any point.
Food was delicious & with a good selection of drinks.
We used the location for easy access to Heathrow airport.
We loved our stay here. Truly beautiful place.

Stunningly beautiful property with great charm. Fantastic staff, great service and food.

Brilliant from arrival until departure

The most remarkable property. Second time visiting the hotel, the bed is like a dream , the property is magical, and the staff is ultimately efficient and kind. I love to stay here before flying out of Heathrow … highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to unwind and just breathe.

This is a beautiful old estate. The grounds are beautiful - even in January. It must be absolutely lovely in the warmer summer months. My only complaint was the noise. Because the building is so old, the windows do not seal properly and any noise from the reception area such as loud talkers or cars pulling onto the stone driveway was clearly audible in our room.
4.4
It was a beautiful well maintained property! The grounds were lovely!
The pillows in the rooms were so uncomfortable and bulky but the beds were comfy.
The service was half exceptional and half poor.
Some of the staff were attentive and thoughtful and some were dismissive and non attentive.

My husband and Irecently had the pleasure of staying one night at Great Fosters hotel. Nestled near the heart of Windsor, this historical gem of a hotel left an indelible mark on us with its impeccable service and charming ambiance. From the moment we stepped through the small “door-in-a-door” we were immediately captivated by the enchanting and historical interior that exuded classical English charm. It was clear that great effort was taken to restore/preserve its history yet it still achieved the expectations for modern comforts. We were quite hungry the day we arrived and requested tea and we were escorted to a charming and secluded tearoom to our delight. The tea service was excellent and was a wonderful start to our stay. Afterwards, we took a stroll in the gorgeous gardens of the hotel and then retired to our room to rest before dinner. Our room was a blend of traditional and contemporary décor with a mix of antique furniture and modern amenities that provided us with a comfortable and relaxing space. It also had a scenic view of the amazing garden and grounds, which we truly enjoyed. To top off our stay, we ate at The Tudor Pass that is located in the hotel, which was absolutely outstanding. Great Fosters was truly a tranquil retreat where we were able to unwind and appreciate the beauty of an English estate and we wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend Great Fosters for anyone seeking an unforgettable, beautiful and historical hotel with excellent se

Tired and living on past glory. Room poor and tired and no bed made up for our 7 year old on arrival at 9.45pm. She had to sleep in our bed. Very poor breakfast buffet with little choice. A lot of aircraft noise until 11.15pm from low flying planes departing Heathrow.

Build in 16th century, now a hotel with unique rooms and Michelin 1 star restaurant. Stayed in the tapestry room, pretty cool. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Beautiful alternative to LHR hotels. A very special place and convenient to LHR

Loved everything about our stay apart from having to leave.
Hotel was beautiful, massages were amazing and absolutely loved the outdoor pool

A unique experience. A magnificent Tudor mansion with glorious gardens cared for by a bevy of gardeners and very attentive service from the hotel staff. This is a very special hotel - not the Marriott or Hilton, if that is what you are looking for but so much more. The building obviously is very old and encompasses its own problems but also its many charms. The room had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The windows open and you can enjoy the country air, although there is a heater and air conditioner in the room. The breakfast (included) and service was excellent. There is a serious swimming pool that you can swim laps in, an outdoor heated tub and poolside bar. The garden is a miniature take on Windsor Castle, a tribute to the gardeners. While you feel you are in the country, the hotel is very close to Heathrow.
I am delighted that the owners have decided to maintain and allow travelers to stay at this rare gem. Your bill is a small donation to help preserve a beautiful part of British history.

Great service and location to go and watch golf! A little disappointed with the Estate Grill menu as it is not that similar to the sample menu on their website, saying that I would stay there again!
