I was very happy with this hotel and its location. Our room had a view of the local lake and mountains, which was perfect way to begin our day. The hotel price was very reasonable and the location was perfect for our needs

Room 7 - large apartment with kitchen. Wonderful view.
But park on the street No parking fee from 18.00
Parkering garage at hotel was too small.
Dinner at the restaurant - ok
Breakfast - ok
Would we stay again - yes

Advertised with WiFi, our room did not reach the WiFi.
I was told to rent there bigger rooms to get the WiFi.
Not ideal when you are working
They charge you for parking when they own the car park, didn’t really make sense when you pay for your room

Easy to check in, lovely holiday apartment.

We enjoyed our stay at the San Marco and would definitely like to return some day. The rooms are very clean and bathrooms updated. Older feel but perfect fit for the Alps. We had a nice deck off of the living room. It has a small kitchen. Nice breakfast for 8,50 Euro. Lovely view of lake and Alpen horn concert at sunset.

We liked being across from the little lake. We had a lovely view and tiny balcony that also had a view. The room was very small and furniture was old. There was no lift, so we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. The restaurant was below our room, but we had no problem with noise. It was very, very hot, but the stand-up fan helped. Some parking was available behind the restaurant for an additional fee.

The hotel is located in a nice area on a lake but it had a strange smell. Beds and pillows were not comfortable. Bathrooms have been renovated so they are quite nice.

Nice little place with big and comfortable rooms, very good restaurant and friendly staff. Great location and view.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to help us

The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The view was spectacular - what a nice surprise.

My only complaint is there in no parking. It is on street only and you have to pay. We lucked out and parking was free for the night we were there. The room is huge! Full apartment. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our massive terrace and ate at the restaurant downstairs for dinner. It was excellent. Everyone was very nice. There is a nice trail you can walk around the lake on but as for anything else with in walking distance....nothing. The room was clean and the beds were comfy enough. The breakfast was pretty good as well. Typical meats, bread and cheeses. Quick drive to Neuschwanstein Castle.

We booked 2 apartments that had s huge balcony overlooking the lake. It was truly beautiful. Both rooms had updated bathrooms but one had a giant tub no shower, the other had shower no tub. We made it work. The Italian resturant downstairs was delicious.

Bad hotel, stinks of sewage and garbage. Refused to stay in this nasty property!

We originally booked one night and our plans changed so we booked an extra night, for the day before. When we arrived, I confirmed that we were there for two nights. The first night was great. We got an apartment and had no issues. The next morning we left and spent the entire day sightseeing and returned that night to find our luggage sitting in the hallway of the third floor. Still not sure if the hotel staff or new quests packed our personal belongings We went to the lobby (really a small desk in the restaurant) and was told that I had booked only one night. Lots of denials by the two staff members until a showed the confirmation. We were put in a much a much smaller room which smelled like a sewer, even with the bathroom. Needless to say, we do not recommend this hotel.

Good location close to the castles in Fussen area but remote enough to be nice and close. Nice restaurant at this hotel plus other restaurants in the area. Good place to stay. Very friendly staff.

We stayed here one night while visiting the Castle Neuschwanenstein. The Hotel is not far from there and easyly accesable. The provided parking spaces are a bit of a challenge to park but all in all ok. The rooms are directly above the included Restaurant but still relatively quiet (except the main road right in front). The cleanliness was in the room quite ok. Not too clean but also not terribly dirty. However the balcony was a different Story. There was a dead bird and cigar leftovers all over it.
Furthermore we arrived with a Little 1,5 year old child and mentioned in our Reservation that we will Need a Baby bed for her which was available according to the Website. While arriving they told us that the "normal" Baby bed was lended out to another Hotel because they needed one. However they have an old wooden (not so nice and heavy) one. We told them that we would Need it and left to see the Castle. Upon our return we realised that there is no Baby bed in our room. When we asked again suddenly the bed was broken...

great location overlooking lake and mountain. But the rooms didn't seem clean. Think the previous people had a wet dog in there.

Like others have said the reception desk is actually in the restaurant. Very confusing. But staff was very helpful. Great locale, 10 minutes to castles. Beautiful view. Would stay again. One bad note, not open for breakfast as advertised.

Check-in/out via restaurant staff is a bit discombobulated, but the spacious room/apartment with view/balcony/terrace over the lake and surrounding mountains is splendid. Full kitchen, nice bath, parking on property. Italian restaurant good, breakfast buffet for extra charge. If you have to leave early to get to the castles, stop at the bakery/coffee shop a hundred yards up the street.

One night of fun with closeness to our area to explore. Lovely dinner with good prices.

Dont believe them when they say they have laundry facility. Guests use laundry the hotel uses for linens which is ok but dryer takes two hours to dry

Traveling as a group of six when we arrived at San Marco we discovered a miscommunication, 4 of our six never booked at San Marco. Fortunately, the hotel had a large apartment type room available with many amenities. Very quiet, beautiful view of lake across the street. Delicious restaurant.

The room was nice and the rooftop terrace had a great view of the city! We loved it. All was great during our stay, the only thing Id personally improve would be the bed firmness which was a bit too hard for me, but many hotels in Italy have hard beds, so I cant complain.
3.0
It was clean, small bath, dated room, no AC. Check in at Restaurant cashier have to walk through tables and patrons to acces rooms. Not a 4 star

The Good: Hotel is not far from the lake, nice neighborhood. The Bad: They sold my room to someone on the first night of the booking and you had to find another hotel to stay. They did not even allow you to early check-in for our second night. The morning staff was rude and she could not use English for communication. The Worse: Hotel.com didnt reply any of you your emails and never get back to you.

Only wish I had more time. The view was amazing and the room was incredible, full kitchen and awesome patio. I will be back

Basi is running the San Marco Hotel. Sybil is not there, but Manuel is replaced with a young Croatian who is in Fussen to learn Geman! Polly is there, disguised heavily, but still making the breakfast, mopping the restaurant floor and checking guests in and out - together and at the same time, without a word of English.
When we arrived in the rain, we were told to wait on the footpath, with our luggage and so it continued for our entire two day visit.
It was so odd that it was funny. So, if you can stand it, stay there. The bedroom was comfortable and warm and the bathroom was good. But if you are allergic to dust and would like some fluffy towels - don't go.

It's a small properly, looks like mom's and pop's, but the room was great. Windows in the ceiling, so you are sleeping under the starts :)

We stayed one night in a four person apartment room. The room had a kitchen in it but we didn't stay long enough to really have to use it. There was a coffee maker and tea kettle as well as a few other things. I didn't investigate too much so I don't really remember what else was there.
We arrived late and the hotel was very helpful in arranging a late night arrival when we called ahead. The room was gorgeous. It was very spacious and had a nice little balcony. It was clean and well maintained. There was parking onsite.
It was an easy 20 minute drive to Neuschwanstein castle in the morning. Since we had a 9:20 reservation at the castle we didn't have time in the morning for breakfast.
I wish we could have stayed longer at this hotel. The kitchen would have been nice to use instead of eating out all the time and the room was spacious and nice. We would book here again in a heartbeat.

Great location, right next to the lake with a gorgeous view. I would definitely recommend staying there. We were really impressed with the manager/owner. Would have liked to have a fridge, but that is a pretty minute issue. It has parking to!
