The area was just far enough away from the downtown rush but close enough to easily walk to every where. The river was visible behind our room and the gondola out the front. Perfect for us to enjoy a weekend in Gatlinburg.

Newly remodeled. I was very pleased.
4.1
Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom could use a little update but the room appears recently renovated. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. Easily walk to most attractions and restaurants.
4.1
It was a one night stay. It was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable and quiet. The people who ran the hotel were very friendly.

I stayed at the Econo Lodge Inn just a couple of days ago and had a good experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located close to Gatlinburg downtown, which made it easy to explore the area without having to drive far.
The highlight was definitely the beautiful lake view, adding a peaceful touch to the stay. The bedding was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well, keeping the room cool and pleasant. The hotel is a bit older, but it’s well-maintained and clean.
The service was great; the staff was friendly and quick to accommodate my request for an extended checkout. Breakfast was simple but a nice addition to the stay.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel close to downtown Gatlinburg with a nice lake view and decent amenities, Econo Lodge Inn is a solid choice.

This travel lodge is showing its age and needs a little makeover. But the coffee was really good, we loved our balcony over the river and triple rested well. Staff was friendly and hospitable!
4.1
This motel is an older motel that has had some updates. It was clean, but there was some mold stains around the tub area, and the bathroom floor needs replaced. But let me stress, for the price it was ok for one night. It is conveniently located close to town.

It was a great location just wish the shower had more pressure and the bathroom was bigger

Clean, great value for price. Need to be bear conscious. Comfy bed. Nice pool. Close to GSMNP. Highly recommended!

It was a great place to stay. Nice & quiet. Not in the hustle & brussel. But 2 minutes away from it if you like it.

Bathroom needs maintenance .

Everything was great. The tv was setup a little weird and not a smart tv.

Check in a curate and with out any inconvenience. Greeting and well oriented.

Ober Mountain tour is right across the street. You can walk to the main strip straight from the hotel within minutes. Staff were nice.

Booked last minute for a one night stay. We were impressed for the price of the hotel. Very clean and beds were comfortable. Creek view was amazing!

We had a great time in Gatlinburg. We saw several bears, even saw cubs. This hotel sits next to a stream and we could hear the water while in bed.

The property is like when you drink too much and you think someone is really cute but then you sober up and start looking at the details and realize that it is run down and dirty.
Door to the balcony would not lock, dents/small holes in the walls, mismatched paint patches, dirty grout/baseboards, blown light bulbs, dirty glass light fixtures, shower curtain was fabric and stained, face clothes/towels had yellow stains, mold/peeling paint in the shower, curtain rod was disgusting, a previous guest's hair in the dresser drawers, freezer door was non-existent/freezer was a solid block of ice, blackout/privacy curtain did not cover the entire French doors which led to a bright beam of light in the room all night, air conditioner sounded like a diesel engine, coffee packets were already open and used, sheets were questionable so we slept wrapped up in our travel blankets for the night because there was no other place available, employees were helpful but not too thrilled to do it. NOT USA-operated. I'm not trying to be a Karen, but for the high price we paid we really expected much better. I don't need the Ritz but I do need a clean room at least. The only plus side to our visit to the Econolodge was the river view, if you can call it that.
Won't be back to Econolodge again and Expedia should not recommend them on their site because it will hurt their ratings.

The room was outdated but super spacious. Had an actual separate bedroom with a door that closed! The kids loved it!

Very good location

This was a last minute 3 night stay. This hotel is definitely a "you get what you pay" for place.
The good:
Location is great for walking through town. It's on the end of the main street (1 block from Ober) but we didn't need to use our car except to go into the national park. The river behind the room is relaxing and made the balcony more enjoyable. We didn't hear any neighbors both above us and on the sides.
Breakfast is basic. Grab and go pastries, microwaveable Jimmy Dean breakfast stuff, a single waffle maker, etc.
The staff was all very friendly. We stayed 3 nights and had daily check-ins for housekeeping. We were kept well stocked with toiletries and towels.
The pool was clean and open until 10pm.
The bad:
Our room was very musty smelling and papers in our room were damp by day 2. We had multiple centipedes in our room, mostly on the floor. The remote for the tv was very basic and nearly impossible to use so we ended up not even watching tv.
Overall, I'd stay here again only because it was so budget friendly and walkable to everything without being in the middle of town.
Within 15 minutes of checking in, we had a bear visit the hotel, walk across the top balcony, and wander around the pool area.

I was absolutely impressed with my entire experience with Econo Lodge Gatlinburg. The customer liaison at check inn was the most friendly and helpful person I have met on the entire trip. The room was warm and welcoming and as soon as I layed on the bed I did not wake up until 5 hours later. That’s a big deal for a female traveling alone .
4.1
Inn was within walking distance of most major attractions. If needed, you could take the trolley to other places. Staff was very helpful.

The location and quality for the price I paid was great. We had a gorgeous view of the river. The beds are comfortable but firm. If you have issues with firm beds, they may not be comfortable for you. The rooms could use a good deep clean and the balconies could be cleaned but, overall, it wasn’t dirty or gross. This was a last minute stop for us and it was far enough from the hustle and bustle that it was quiet but it was still close to everything.
4.1
Everything was great about the place except for in the room the majority of the outlets available to plug in to would not hold a plug. Very loose inside the outlets. Kind of frustrating. All in all a good place to stay.
4.1
The building was older but very clean and quiet. The little river running through the back was relaxing. The trolly pick up spot was only about a block away which made getting to the main area easy and convenient.
4.1
Great spot. Nice water view. Highly recommend.

The workers were so nice! However, when we checked in, our room had a weird smell and the lamp shades were stained. That night we went to take a shower and there was no hot water. We called the front desk and they told us to let it run. I kid you not, after 25 minutes of just letting the water run it FINALLY got hot! Also, we could not stay connected to the WiFi. It kept dropping. Honestly the rooms should be cheaper!

Freshly renovated clean lines bathroom clean balcony beautiful, breakfast small area and selection but what is there foes taste good, fruit waffles yogurt so forth Coffee area I loved it is adjoin breakfast room, but all chairs and tables are up they should leave one down but coffee was great great selection and even ready at midnight for me YUM!! Close to everything Parking lot does suck but free. Honesty the best Econo Lodge I have ever stayed in and cleanest!!
4.1
Room smelled like wet dog. Acceptable clean for me but could use a much better and thorough cleaning. The porch overlooking the water running behind was nice. Service was helpful and very kind. Parking was almost completely full at 10pm on a Saturday. The only spot left seemingly was halfway in the road.
4.1
The river and updated rooms were nice. There was a smell that I saw on reviews before going and I did see one water bug next to this shower this morning. The room itself seemed pretty clean other than that. The laminate floors are way better than older carpet. Balcony was nice, but smoking cigarettes is not allowed on it which would have been nice to do on our ground level balcony instead of having to walk outside of the hotel to smoke. Overall was a nice 3-star hotel for Gatlinburg. Convenience was great!

We had a great stay! Staff was kind and helpful, it was clean, river view was amazing. Can’t wait to stay again!

Great little Motel by the Mountains. I think they were in a period of renovations, as our closet wasn't painted and finished, but very nice and convenient.

A special trip to the Smokies with my daughter to enjoy the fireflies led us to our stay at the EconoLodge in Gatlinburg and we were very pleased with our accommodations and would stay there again!
