The staff was kind and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and I was very happy.

The view of the city and bay is amazing. The hotel is away from the city and doesn’t offer local restaurants and shopping unless you take a taxi into town.

Great rooms high up the hill overlooking the city and waterfront. Terrific staff. Just be aware if you want to walk downtown it’s about a 30 minute walk with steep uphill on the return.

WiFi was not that great in parts of the hotel but otherwise all very accommodating

Very OK hotel. The staff is nice and the views are amazing. The breakfast was terrible however. The rooms have paper thin walls so you will hear everything from your neighbors.

The hotel afforded fantastic views across the Beagle Channel and our room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff on reception were helpful in booking taxis to take us into town. We walked on our first day but felt the long trek uphill back to the hotel was a task too far!!!!! The staff in the restaurant were extremely welcoming and very attentive.

Great little hidden gem hotel. Beautiful view from the hotel room, nice breakfast. very close to viewpoint. It is 5-10 mins drive up the hill from the city centre, we had no problem as we had a car hired. It was great to avoid crowded city centre, but still enjoyed everything from short drive.

Going to Ushuaia was an incredible experience! We had a hard time choosing a hotel, but we wanted something with a view, and the Altos delivered! We had a huge room with our bed, a desk area, a couch, a balcony, and lots of space. The views over the Beagle Channel were fantastic, and I got great pics of sunrise!
Also, it was one of the best breakfasts we had. There was limited selection, like all of our hotels in Patagonia, but it was the best of them. The eggs were tasty (many hotels in Argentina that provide breakfast do not provide eggs), the cookies were delicious, and there was a modest selection of pastries and cereals.
The staff was very helpful. Our flight was late, so they helped us arrange a trip out to Tierra Del Fuego National Park even though it was afternoon when we arrived. It took the woman at the front desk a lot of calls to organize, and we are so appreciative that she did!
The only real downside to the hotel is that it is a ways out of town. We chose the hotel because of this, since it is up the hill and has a nice view, but if you want a hotel that you can easily walk to restaurants, museums, etc., then this is not the hotel for you.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. It's a little bit out of the central business district but the view makes the trip worth it! The hotel helped me make last minute plans which made my trip all the more enjoyable. I would stay here again.

Hotel is nice but location is not. It is away from the downtown area and other eateries. The hotel staff was not as accommodating. There were no basic amneties like water, coffee/hot water in the room. When asked if we can get some hot water or coffee delivered to the room, they basically said No.

Hotel is about 30 minutes walk from town center. Breakfast is mediocre. Biggest problem is that big nights I stayed there I had to remind them to turn on the heat to the 3rd floor otherwise I had a freezing cold room.

We had a hiccup on the 1st day - the hotel couldn't find our reservation but with hotels.com customer care, it was sorted out and since they didn't have any rooms remaining they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite.
The suite was a spacious, single room with a little balcony and the most gorgeous view of the bay. The bed was comfortable, the pillows could have been better but ok. I do wish it had a coffee maker and microwave.
The bathroom was large and very nice, modern, good water pressure
The hotel is really nice and it's location up on the hill means it has some spectacular views. It is a good 30 min walk to town (steep downhill and not all roads have sidewalks) and a return taxi costs about 80-100ars. The airport is 20-25 min away by taxi and cost us 150ars each way.
Breakfast in the morning is quite a spread. They have the usual breads and baked goodies with dulce de leche, jams, honey and cheese. They also have semi-warm scrambled eggs, cold platters of ham and cheese, 3-4 different kinds of cereal, fruit salad and fresh fruit. The drink options are tea, coffee, juice and yogurt.
We also had dinner at the hotel a couple of times. The food isn't spectacular but fulfilling. The prices are at par with the options in town.
The staff speaks some English and they are very hardworking and hospitable.
The one -ve is that their wi-fi sucks big time! I am sure it throttles usage and kicks you off periodically
Otherwise, a very good option if within your budget

Inside the room you would not believe it was freezing outside. The room was very cosy.

Clean, friendly hotel, not fancy but functional and well suited for those seeking practicality and not luxury. Overall good value for money. Good views of city.Breakfast can be improved in quality. Coffee is awful.

The hotel was good with great views over the harbour.
It was a bit removed from the hub of the city. That did mean
using a taxi to go anywhere which cost about $10.00 us each way.
