Excellent hotel close to city centre, great location also next to car park. Very clean room and friendly, helpful staff.

Cosy & clean hotel. Ideal location

Great hotel, brilliant location if your wanting Edinburgh city centre. only pick up is the towels are so small, like what a hotel would have had in the 80's. replace them with big fluffy towels and it would have been a prefect stay.
2.5
Nice hotel that was so convenient as we had a tour leaving the next morning literally steps away. Cosy bed, great breakfast and very nice staff.

The location is excellent and close to the train station. My room was somewhat cramped. The pastries provided with the continental breakfast were stale, and got more stale over the weekend.

Lovely hotel, nice decor and very central.

A very nice overnight stay with my friend staff very friendly and welcoming lovely room and bathroom lovely breakfast would definitely go back again

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and perfectly located near bus and train stations.

Close to Waverley train station, Calton Hill and Prices St. The old town is a 15 to 20 minutes walking

The room was very dated and needed a lot of TLC. We were very disappointed. The bar area was lovely.

Lovely hotel, great staff and nice breakfast. Room was clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed for 4 nights and felt very comfy the whole time. Close to buses and the main Prince st. shopping area, a quick walk to the Waverly train station. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Edinburgh.

the property seemed charming til we got in. I was told both my the property and the travel agent that it was a 'spacious, generous' two twin bed room. It was for myself and my sister - the room was insanely small.. if you opened the closet you would have to get out of your own way as it almost hit the bed. the pillows were so so horrendous.. like rocks.. those are cheap bolsters, they are not pillows. the room was insanely hot and the window could only be open a crack.. the hallways were grubby, and what was worse - was that the front staff were not interested in helping. she was condescending and rude. and ultimately, after hours on the phone, i got nothing except a totally ruined trip. no sleep for two nights, a severe migraine as a result of the horrible beds and pillows. for 550 dollars a night i at least expected to be able to sleep through the night. shame on you expedia and the parliament hotel. and you knew i asked for a refund - you were not able to make me happy as you clearly didn't have the rooms promised, and if your guest isn't able to sleep, and be comfortable , shouldn't you want to just let them leave? what a disappointed.

We have stayed here three times and we love it! Very comfortable and the staff is wonderful. Easy walking to Old Town

What made the stay something I would recommend was the lovely lady on reception. I was feeling very stressed as I was bringing my daughter to the uni. It is virtually impossible to find parking to unload a car anywhere and it was all a. It much. She was very kind and gave lots of suggestions and help. The tv was pretty ropey given the price of the room but I forgot to mention it at the time - I was shattered as an inconsiderate guest was hammering on the door next to mine at length at 1.10am which didn’t help my nerves…

It's a lovely hotel, very, very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was quite luxurious, loved it. It's not entirely easy to get to (up a steep hill), but the walk is worth it.

Great hotel and very convenient to shopping, the tram, and exploring!

Very expensive stay for what I would class as 3 star hotel, our room was very dark hardly any natural light . Staff very friendly and good location. Didn’t stay for breakfast as they want to charge extra for that on an already steep price.

Parliament House is well situated next to Calton Hill, a short walk from the old part of town, next to restaurants and shops. We had dinner at Howie's, right next door on one of our nights there and the food was amazing. The room is spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff are attentive, polite and well informed. I am definitely staying at Parliament House when I return.

Large clean room but in the basement. View of a wall. Breakfast room only. No hotel dining.

Over priced for musty carpeted rooms . Location is excellent though

This hotel was the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh! It was a affordable, close to the train station and main attractions, and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic and everyone was so helpful. I had no complaints and would absolutely stay again in the future!

Beautiful hotel, excellent service, will be back next year! Thank you!

The place was great, close to everything, and the staff was good to us. The not thing that wasn’t desirable was the room was very hot, but I didn’t know how to adjust the heater, nor did I ask the front desk about it, so it wasn’t their fault in the least. When I return to Edinburgh, I will definitely stay there again.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Parliament House hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly. Just thought the decor was drab although in good condition but that’s just my personal taste. I would stay here again and would recommend it to family snd friends

Old smelly rooms, small horrible quality towels with holes in the hand and face towels
Extremely uncomfortable pillows, seemed like they were made of poured concrete
I was at this hotel, thankfully for one night only, could not sleep because of the discomfort, had an early morning flight to catch and was totally un rested
Will never book this place unless they do a major upgrade and provide quality stuff

The hotel is basic but the front desk staff were great. The breakfast was a disappointment. It might be a couple of pounds cheaper than a local restaurant but it was of much poorer quality. The hop on buses are just across the street, which was very helpful. Waverley station was a short walk. We were there for the Fringe festival and the location served us just fine, combined with the hop on buses.

Really loved this place. Awesome location right next to Calton Hill and an easy walk to the castle, Royal Mile, and anything else you'd want to do in Edinburgh. One nice bonus was the lobby / lounge where we had some drinks after a busy day on the town.

Great location. Limited food and drink services.
Elevators were difficult with a lot of luggage.

tucked beside Colton Hill, walkable to many fine dining and casual eateries, walkable to castle and parks, this hotel is comfortable (great bed, modern washrooms), quiet, and I'd definitely stay again.

Nice centrally located hotel, a little tired, small old bath towels I found irritating for the money paid. Nice bar area, relaxing with good whiskey selection.

The location is very good. We chose this hotel because it is very close to the train station and also you can get to the old town in a few minutes. I did not like the mattress, it seems a little bit old and soft, also I would not recommend to have breakfast at the hotel, the food was not tasty at all.

Nice small hotel tucked into a cobblestone street off of Princes St. Reasonably quiet but does not have a/c. Big beds and bathroom.

Location was great, room was great, staff fantastic
