We liked this location and the hotel room was very nicely renovated. Stefania was great, answering all of our questions and providing helpful recommendations. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Rome.

Great experience

The rooms were clean and very modern. They were a bit smaller than expected, but certainly large enough for one to two people with luggage. Additionally, the host and her staff made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.
4.7
Host provided detailed directions on getting to the property around some renovations. Room was nice and clean. Easy walk to St Peter’s and Vatican museum. Close to subway for access to other sights.
4.7
We had a wonderful stay! Valeria was so helpful with directions and recommendations for dining. On our next visit we would definitely plan to stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and friendly.. fast and easy check in.. and answered our questions right away through text.. would absolutely stay here again

Good location and very clean

This property was newly renovated and was centrally located near the Vatican. Perfect for our family of four. Room was cleaned every day with a complimentary bottle of wine. What truly made our experience exceptional was the incredible service we received from hosts - Valeria and Stefania. They never hesitated in helping us secure transportation, reservations, and recommendations. We look forward to seeing them again on our next visit.

Staff was very responsive and good in communicating throughoit stay. Gave excellent recommendation for local food areas including the best coffee shop in Roma which was on the same block. Location great for vatican and felt like being in a Roman beighborhood more than a tourist area. Only down side was room for 4 was too small for a family.
4.7
The hosts were fantastic, very helpful in every way. The location was excellent, a two min walk to the closest metro station.
4.7
It was a beautiful property with extremely courteous staff. The manager Valeria was extremely helpful and attentive. Highly recommend. Close to Vatican museum

Safe, nice and helpful staff. Rooms are clean daily . Will stay here again !

I cannot fault anything about New Design St. Peter. I am so so glad I made the choice to stay here with my husband during our weekend to Rome. The staff is incredible warm and helpful. We communicated mainly through Whatsapp to coordinate self-checkin, self-checkout, and recommendations of where to eat in Rome. Everything was seamless.
One of the owners Stefania is such a kind, lovely and classy human being. The location is also unbeatable. It's a beautiful neighborhood with excellent food within 15-minute walks.
4.7
Nice place, clean, close to Vatican City and subway. Property manager very nice and helpful.
4.7
Nice room. Seemed very safe. Close to Vatican and Metro.

Very clean. Good location. Friendly reception.

Excellent property situated in the best location. Right next to the metro, 10 mins walk from the Vatican and best of all close to the best pizza and burger places you'll have in your life... Stefania and Nelmar were our hosts. Excellent service from both even made an effort to come see us. Which is fantastic. Room was really good comfortable bed and good size TV. Room size is more than adequate for two people and was cleaned daily. With daily towel changes... Breakfast was Italian i.e crossaints, orange juice and coffee. Good and kept us going until lunch. Fresh croissants too. Don't expect an English breakfast as obviously you're not in England or America. But other cafés do it (for an inflated price)
Thanks Stefania and staff, excellent work! Sure to be back if we're back in Rome. But the rest of the world awaits!

Other reviewers have mentioned but will say again this is a guest house and not a hotel as such, so you dot have your usual hotel facilities. On arrival you may have a bit of difficulty find the right entrance, especially in the dark and if the taxi drops you off at the wrong place. The entrance is a large double door at No.8 with the New Designs intercom at the bottom right-hand side of the door. Once contacted Neymar came down to meet us and take us up to the reception and our rooms. Neymar was good and kept us right all through our 4-night stay. The rooms were clean and modern and cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. On our first night Neymar gave us a voucher to use at a restaurant just a few minutes walk away, this included a free bottle of wine and the food was good. If you book the breakfast as well this is served in a small cafe again just a couple of minutes walk away, the staff here are excellent and helpful, but if you like breakfast tea take some tea bags with you, this applies to your room as well as they just have flavoured tea and coffee here. (to be fair after we mentioned it a tea bag was placed with the others each day). Good location for St. Peters and the Metro is just a few minutes walk away and this will get you across the city to other points where you can then just start walking. Overall a good experience and would recommend trying if you are just looking for a good place to rest your head after a day of walking the Roma sights.

Everything was as it should be and location is good for metro which is €1.50 for 100 minutes travel and Vatican was 10 minutes walk. Rooms where not massive but they had everything you need and a hot tub in the room was fun. Trust me you should go there is it's your first time in Rome

The staff, Nelmar and Valeria, were amazing! Very kind, accommodating and thoughtful. We were treated so well and all the little extra touches were amazing. The room was spacious, Room 204, and we had a king size bed. The bathroom was large, clean and well-stocked. Located in such a cozy, quiet neighborhood too. The only downfall was there was hardly any storage space/dresser for our belongings and we couldn't change the language setting on the TV from German to English. Lol! I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay at New Design St. Peter again!

We arrived to Rome September 11th to this hotel and was warmly welcomed by Stefania and Angelica. Stefania was very informative and gave us tips on how to get to the metro, where to eat, etc. The location of the hotel was close and conveniently placed to everything you might need. There are plenty of restaurants and stores in every block and the metro is about 5 mins walk. Getting to the center of Rome takes about 15 mins via metro. The room we stayed in was very clean and smelled really great. I felt very good at choosing this place to stay after numerous research online because my pet peeve is of course dirty rooms and bathrooms. Housekeeping was everyday and breakfast was beside the hotel which is very good as well! The place itself is very safe. Close to the Vatican. While we stayed here we felt more like we lived here as it gave more of air bnb feeling which is nice. The staff isn’t around 24 hrs but you can contact them easily via telephone and Stefania was very responsive to our needs and concerns. The beds were very comfortable. We stayed in Paris and then Amalfi before arriving here and the bed we had is most comfortable at this hotel. The AC in the room worked well and kept us cool. The fridge in the room and coffee maker was a plus for us. I also liked that their hair dryer was powerful and worked great. I usually bring my travel one but not as good as using their own. We really had a great time and will recommend, stay here again for our next visit to Rome! :)

Super nice guest house! Very clean, modern, great location. The top-noch customer service! Highly recommended!

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance from the Vatican and Ottaviano metro station. It’s in a quiet, safe building and clean throughout. We loved the friendliness and pleasant personality of the staff. They were very helpful upon arrival and departure. That made our stay more enjoyable. Thanks, Valeria and staff :)

Great customer service, the place is perfectly well located and close to the metro station, perfectly clean and well maintained.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Rome. Staff was so friendly and the room was very clean. Would definitely recommend!
4.7
Perfect little room with all the modern amenities. Great location if you want to do tours near the Vatican. Staff speaks English well and is VERY accommodating. Special dietary restrictions we're taken into consideration for breakfast, and delivered in the morning to our room.
4.7
My husband and I loved this property! Within walking distance to the Vatican Museums, as well as many stores, restaurants and transportation. Stefania was friendly, helpful and spoke both Italian and English. The room was very clean and the design was so unique. We loved the overall setting and atmosphere. We were very happy with the breakfast that was included which was actually from a local cafe. I would absolutely stay here again.
4.7
Very happy with our decision to select this place for our first Europe/Rome pre-cruise accommodation. Close to everything we need to go for our short two nights but most importantly that the place was clan, clean and the service from the owner and her staff was amazing. Very helpful with recommendations for our tours and also booked our taxi for us to hotel and to cruise without any hassles. The place they selected for free breakfast and free wine for dinner also were amazing as well. We’ll definitely will stay here again on our next and much longer Rome trip. Thank you so much Stefania, Valencia and Nelma

Wonderful place, wonderful staff, wonderful location, Great job! We will be back.

It was a really pleasant stay for us. The room was perfect and really clean. Angelo was really kind and the staff of the hotel was helpful and also kind. They were ready to accomplish every request we had. Even when we asked them to keep our buggage for some hours after our check-out.
I strongly recommend it and I would return there in any future visit in Rome
4.7
Very close to Vatican - 10 min walk to Vatican wall. A little far to HoHo Buss - station #6 but walk is not boring. This is facility located on 4th floor - but there is elevator.
4.7
Very comfortable. Friendly staff and excellent location close to the Vatican city with excellent restaurants nearby.
4.7
The staff was amazing! Our room was clean and breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was , since this room is one of several rooms in an apartment , there is no one near by at night if you should need assistance. The owner is very helpful and readily available via phone, but you are very alone at night. The area was very safe and enclosed within a courtyard but we were two women traveling alone and it would be nice to know there was someone available on the premises.
4.7
We loved everything about this hotel. It is in a fantastic location in a beautiful building only 10 minutes walk from the Vatican but still away from the crowded streets. It is clean and comfortable and we were served a delicious breakfast with an option to go to a local cafe when we had an early start. Both Angelo and Nelmar were extremely welcoming and helpful recommending excellent local restaurants. We had a briliant time in Rome and would definitely return to this hotel on our next visit.
4.7
Great location, friendly staff, very, very comfortable bed, and beautifully designed and decorated. The only problem was that the shower drain was slow and partly clogged, causing the shower water to overflow onto the floor. We are mentioning it only so they are aware of this only problem that can be easily corrected. The staff was wonderful and arranged for a driver to take us to the airport at 2:30 in the morning. Very helpful.
4.7
Great location to Vatican. Angelo was great host and very accommodating. Room was very clean and air conditioned. Continental breakfast was served in our room one day and we had free coupon at a cafe on another morning. Can’t go wrong!
