The staff or very nice and accommodating the room was Very nice and well organized having everything we needed. They have hot water! The only disappointment was the pool which actually was a hot tub, but it still was enjoyable. The location was fantastic with everything needed within a minute or two's walk!
I can't say enough good things about the staff, Thank you for being so accommodating! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the dining, shopping, and convenience of being in the historical district of Santa Marta.

Hotel is small but beautifully decorated with nice touches in room. The windows in the room are facing a corridor so usually kept closed so not much illumination or ventilation. Small pool at the top is a plus to relax at the end of the day. Walking distance to main sites in the city.

The staff and property were great. Although I found the owner of the hotel to be insulting and condescending to staff and guests. Water could ne a bit warmer in the shower

The staff were lovely and the room was stunning but there were a LOT of ants everywhere, including in the bedroom and all around the dining area at breakfast. Around the hotel there were a lot of homeless people and people who were on drugs or drinking early in the morning. Other than that it was a good stay, the pool is lovely and the air conditioning in the room was great.

Our stay at hotel casa mia was very nice. The staff were very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The proximity to the beach and ahopping was perfect. We had a pleasant stay, thank you.

Great location!
4.0
Great hotel for the money, clean and spacious.
However, the "windows" opened up onto the passageway, zero privacy if shutters opened.
More important, I prefer hotels that have no gym locker lock on the front gate, that only the receptionist has the key to. One is either locked in, or locked out 24/7, if the receptionist is elsewhere. What happens in an emergency?
Why do hotel owners do this?

nice place, delicious breakfast right next to parque de los novios

The hotel could have been great, but the service and check in were awful. The check in person was incredibly rude and gave us a much smaller room than we'd paid for. He didn't even speak to us (we understand Spanish, so it wasn't a language issue) and refused to help carry our bags or provide any assistance at all. There was also no hot water. The room itself was lovely and the breakfast was tasty, but we changed to a different hotel after one night.

Great location. Right beside some great restaurants. Staff very helpful and efficient. Nice breakfast. Seems like a new hotel as everything is good condition. Very clean. Fantastic hot shower.

Cool breeze in the evenings and access to small pool at the end of the hall

Everyone was excellent. All staff were very helpful, attentive. Clean small hotel. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I ever visit santa marta again. Well worth it, close to all. Neighborhood feels safer too. Muchas gracias!

2nd time staying here (before and after tayrona Park)
Awesome hotel, super comfortable beds, fantastic showers, super comfortable spacious rooms that are modern and beautiful decorated.
Really nice kind helpful staff and the breakfast is delicious!! The mini pool is also so nice and relaxing. They also Let us store our bags when we went to tayrona. So kind! Santa marta is such a fun town and we would definitely stay at casa Mia again! We loved it.

Beautifully decorated hotel with lovely room. Comfortable mattress and hot water for the shower- most of the coast doesn’t get adequate hot water so this was a welcome surprise.

Truly wonderful stay at Casa Mia, it is a beautifully decorated hotel room. A lovely free breakfast is included and you are right in the center of town. The hotel staff were so helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommend!

Our stay was fabulous! I can’t compliment the staff enough... they went above and beyond to meet our every need. The staff was fluent in English which was a big plus! They were very helpful in our excursions, restaurant recommendations and local sights.

Great place. Really great staff. Jordy was super.

Great. Just great overall. There is no better place to stay within the historic center of Santa Marta. So, location is excellent. Service? Doesn’t get better than this. They will accommodate your requests within reason and always with a big, honest smile on their face. This is a boutique hotel, which means it was a house at some point so don’t expect huge rooms. The bedrooms have everything you need, and the staff keep them clean. Oh, the staff!!! Ana, Daira, Rosa, Yohan... other names escape now; these people are amazing!!! They make you feel at home.

Absolutely loved the decor and pool, which was one of the coolest rooftop pools we saw in our Colombian hotels. The location is also great, just a couple blocks from the main square, which is full of fantastic restaurants and bars as well as the offices for many tour companies that take you to Tayrona and the Lost City. The staff were also very kind and quick to help with anything. If you can, try to get a room on an upper floor - we had one by the front desk since it was the only one left and it was quite noisy.

Arrived to quite a semi aloof reception and given a room right outside where the drainage works were in place and near to the kitchen whereby in the morning, it was noisy with people coming in to prepare breakfast and then guests talking. There were dirty sheets with stains on the bed and also lots of mosquitoes which i got bitten on my face and also legs and hands. Very upsetting but when came to retrieve our bags which they have kindly let us store, the receptionist X 2 were very friendly and nice but unfortunately, the experience was not the same anymore from where I had experienced in the first place. Simple basic essentials if you wanted to stay for a night.

Good hotel, but our room was noisy. We could hear everything from the street.

We loved our stay at Casa Mia! The location is perfect and close to all the best restaurants. All the staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Luis was especially awesome.

Great location just round the corner from main square and main streets of Santa Marta old town. Really cute little hotel, nice pool, friendly staff, ok breakfast. Only comment would be that given proximity to town square the music from the clubs can be a little much for some light sleepers especially if you have a room towards the front of the hotel.

Amazing friendly staff. They speak fluently English and are willing to help you. The hotel is located near the beach and near to bars and dance clubs. Bear in mind that Friday and Saturday the Colombians celebrates the weekend with a lot of music. So during this two days it is a little noisy but the place to be if you like going out and love to dance with the Colombians. The rest of the week it is a nice and quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast is served from 7.00 to 10.00 a.m. and everything is freshly made and made with love. We definitely recommend this small boutique hotel to our friends and family

We had a great stat at Hotel Boutique Casa Mia. The staff were lovely, the room was simple but had everything we needed for a three night stay. The rooms were extremely quite and the aircon was a great relief from the Santa Marta heat. The roof top pool, was small but so lovely, we enjoyed drinking beers and bobbing in the pool at the end of each day. The breakfasts were tasty too. Would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Clean and cozy room. Secure. Location excellent, everything is close by. There is a small pool where you can relax. Breakfast was delicious and the 2 ladies that serve breakfast, Ana & Deyla, were very attentive and nice! Only minus we can say is that it gets a little noisy at night because of the night life.

This stay was the highlight of my Colombia experience. The rooms were clean and beautiful, with great A/C and a really nice bathroom. Staff is excellent, speaks both Spanish and English, and even gave me a great dinner recommendation. The included breakfast was excellent too. They held my bags while I went to Tayrona National Park. Would definitely recommend staying here while in Santa Marta, very reasonably priced for what you get.

I don’t think I can say enough good things about the hotel. The staff is superb! The breakfast each morning is plentiful and delicious. The beds are kind of hard but they are still very comfortable. The firmness was perfect after four days hiking to Ciudad Perdida. The staff helped us arrange taxis and a trip to Minca last minute. Everyone was beyond friend. The pool is about the size of a large hot tub but it’s beautifully done. It does get a bit loud at night because you are right beside the Parque de los Novios where all the restaurants are but it’s the trade you make for proximity and believe me: it’s worth it. Ear plugs would block out the sound. The area is close to the Malecon, Plaza de Simon Bolívar, and the Cathedral.
We loved it so much that we stayed here again the two days after our hike as well as the two nights before.

Clean, great staff and good service. Easy and nice place to stay in Santa Marta

Hotel has beautiful, modern decor, staff were bilingual, helpful and friendly. However due to the style of the building (no roof) the rooms were extremely noisy. The club situated opposite the hotel was blearing awful music until the small hours which kept us awake. Even during the weeknights when the club was shut we were still kept awake by sirens, dogs barking, horns honking etc. A real shame because the staff were brilliant and the breakfast was great. We would’ve stayed 5 nights but only stayed 3 and found another hotel in Santa Marta due to noise issues.

The staff are lovely here. Very helpful with a great attitude and as my Spanish is limited it’s fantastic for me they speak good English. The rooms are pleasant and clean.
