The cottage had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The garden was beautiful and we enjoyed either relaxing in it or looking at it out of the French windows. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location to enjoy the South Downs with plenty of walks locally and further afield.

Just want you need on holiday. A relaxing cottage to sit on the sofa and enjoy looking out onto the wonderful garden. The bed was very comfortable and warm. It was great to have such a vast collection of books to explore. Hosts Chris and Liz were very welcoming and were interested in making sure we had eveything we wanted during our stay. The tv is small but we never used it. No need to watch tv when you have books and a garden to enjoy. We visited a pub about 4 miles away which was lovely and worth a visit.

We had the most delightful long weekend at Library Cottage it was everything we hoped for from the website description, a secluded little retreat surrounded by it's own beautiful garden. The cottage is spacious, light and such a relaxing space to spend a few days we were able to switch off completely from work and city life. On the practical side, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bed was cosy and very comfy. Liz and Chris were friendly and welcoming hosts and we definitely hope to return to Library Cottage in the future.

Library cottage is a delightful and homely place to stay. It has it's own stunning garden and the lovely hosts, Chris and Liz take rightful pride in the rest of their gardens and were more than happy for us to share them. We could happily have stayed there all day relaxing. However, the area has so much to offer, museums both indoor and out, gardens, historic houses, beautiful villages and the coast is nearby too.
Facilities are great in the cottage. Everything you need is on hand.
We are already planning a return visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at Library Cottage, with its beautiful walled garden, many lovely walks from the door, such welcoming hosts and the beautiful rural setting - near lanes, bluebell woods and a short drive to the South Downs.
5.0
We enjoyed our stay at Library Cottage immensely. We greatly appreciated the tranquility of its rural location. Access roads are narrow but we found very little oncoming traffic to cause inconvenience. In front of the cottage the beautiful garden created a very restful and picturesque impression. Internally, although compact, there was ample room for us to be comfortable. The appliances in the kitchen area were spotlessly clean - the fridge was sufficiently spacious to accommodate our provisions for the week. The living area, bathed in the natural light from the glazed doors and the roof, created the perfect environment to have a leisurely read. The TV was rather small, but was fine for catching up with the unfolding news with the rapidly changing political situation. The bed mattress was a little soft for our liking - a matter of personal preference. There was plenty of storage for our clothes in the wardrobe and drawers. We benefited by using the electric heaters in the early mornings and the evenings - it was mid October when we stayed.
There were lots of opportunities to go on local walks - our favourite was right on the door step taking in the local vineyards and the villages of Nutbourne and West Chiltington.
We had a very warm welcome from Liz and Chris who we met briefly at the start of our stay before they headed off for a few days. We appreciated the cake, raspberries and the floral arrangements from the beautiful grounds.
This was a very relaxing and carefree stay.

This was our second stay at Library Cottage, and we would definitely like to return. The cottage is so comfortable and peaceful - ideal for a really relaxing break. There are miles of lovely walks, and lots of interesting places to visit; we especially enjoyed Petworth House, Parham House, and the RSPB at Pulborough Brooks.
Liz and Chris, the hosts, are charming, friendly and helpful. We thoroughly recommend Library Cottage.

Library Cottage was every thing we had anticipated and more. Lovely and comfortable , clean , our garden was beautiful as were the owners garden. Which we were encouraged to walk in when we had asked. The cottage had every thing we needed. It was in a nice quiet area. Just the odd plane over head now and again. Lovely to watch the different birds and listen to them. The surrounding country side was beautiful. We managed a couple of local walks from the cottage. The weather was very kind to us and we had a really nice holiday. The owners Chris and Liz Williams, who were near by were friendly, discreet and very helpful .
We would definitely book this cottage again.
