Super cute and cozy bungalow in a very nice community. My husband and I stayed here with our teenage grandchildren. The beach in this area is rocky but the back patio is a great place to hangout. We travelled a short way up the road for a perfect day at the beach. If you are staying here with small children make sure you understand the layout of the house. It worked well for us with teenagers that had nowhere to go. The bed in the master was a little too soft for our liking but others might enjoy that.

Our family completely enjoyed this home and the ocean view. We spent most of our time on the deck right next to the water. We fished, surfed, swam, played games, cooked, laughed, caught up with each other and took in all of God's creation we could. In fact we never turned on the TV once. The home had everything we needed and then some. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, a surf board, all the small appliances, AC, sheets, towels and more. There was some difficulty with the parking. There are 3 spots for sedan or small SUV sized vehicles which was plenty. However because security only issues 3 passes for a specific licensed vehicle, we needed to go through some logistical back & forth when we had local family come visit. We were able to use the free parking just outside of the gate. Thank you so much for your flexibility, we will likely come again!

My family and I had an amazing time at Chris and Amy’s beach house. The location was perfect and every detail was thought of. The deck worked out great to have friends and family over for the day. We had 2 families stay there and didn’t feel tight at all. The Sandbox Vintage was the ultimate beach vacation, we will definitely be back again! Thanks again Chris and Amy.

This was the perfect place for a family spring break. The views and access to the beach were amazing. The house more than comfortably accommodated our family of four. The kids loved the easy access to the beach and seeing the water levels at different tides. Our kids have outgrown the sandbox, but the giant sandbox on the back patio is perfect for smaller kids.
All of the amenities were there. The hosts were great and extremely responsive to anything we needed. The location is in a gated neighborhood on a single street so it was extremely quiet. It was a 50 minute door-to-door trip to Disneyland in peak traffic, so the proximity was helpful. I spent several years in Orange County and really missed the beach and the weather. This mid-March trip did not disappoint on either front.

This was our 2nd time staying here. This trip was to celebrate both our Granddaughters Birthdays . We love this home and beach! Everything is perfect, clean and just beautiful. Our Grandchildren actually made friends with the neighbors children on the first trip who then returned and celebrated with us. So much fun! Thank you once again for sharing your home. Life long memories have been made.

Spent the weekend here for my birthday celebration with my husband and best friends. This home is just wonderful. Super clean, all of the supplies that you need are provided (kitchen, bathroom and beach supplies). Comfy beds. The deck is so spacious with plenty of seating and shade. The sand box and fire pit were so relaxing. We truly had the best time and did not want to leave! P.S. - the train was not an issue for us at all.

This was the perfect beach house on the sand. We had a wonderful weekend with our grandkids here. They have thought of every detail to make this a memorable stay! The sand box was great for the kids as the tide came in. The sleep number bed so comfortable and the surprise gifts so sweet! We definitely will stay here again.

We loved staying at Chris' beautiful beach house. It was better than in the pictures. He was a lovely host leaving presents for the kids and us. We celebrated a birthday trip here with two family's kids and it was magical. Would definitely stay here again. When you were on the deck you felt like you were floating on the ocean and the sandbox was a huge hit with our kids!

The two of us here for a much-needed break from East Coast weather. Sitting on the deck every morning with a homemade cappuccino was the highlight for me, and we slept soundly with the sound of the waves at night. Plenty of warm blankets and towels, and just as charming and quirky as we had hoped when we picked out this 1950s house! Owners were highly responsive and we appreciated the friendly service. Simple, charming and lovely.

This adorable, vintage bungalow was perfect for our family visit. Plenty of room for all of us, and WOW that deck. Incredible views. Perfect sunsets. Quiet neighborhood. Private beach. Felt like we were in a 1950 surf movie.
Patio chairs outside of master were perfect for our morning coffee. Kitchen was well appointed and Instacart kept us well supplied. The small office was perfect for working remotely (away from the rest of the fam). The fire pit was used extensively. So many laughs and good times. We will be back!
