First day we got there we ate and put dishes in the dishwasher. Before bed we debated about running it but decided to wait until morning after breakfast. Next day after breakfast we started the dishwasher. And immediately we started smelling something burning and smoke was coming out. Then we opened it to make sure there was nothing melting and there wasn’t so we started it and it started burning again. So we opened it. And turned it off. But every time we tried to close the door it started burning again but if we left it open it the alarm on it would go off and not stop. We called the office number multiple times. The first time she told us that the problem had already been reported and they had a work order to fix it on Monday. It was Sunday. I am upset that my entire family which is My husband and I and our kids and grandkids could have burned up in a fire if we had run the dishwasher on Friday night and there was no note, no email, no text or phone call, that the dishwasher was broken and could catch on fire. No one thought to notify us, fix it, or even turn the breaker off. And we called on Monday many times and left messeges stating this is urgent. No answer and no one came on Monday. We called Tuesday, no answer and no one came. Wednesday we called and a guy came out. He opened the door panel and black debris fell out and the wires were melted. He turned turned the breaker. So no dishwasher for the week. Oven burned food on bottom before being done.

It was great! The house was really clean and pretty! It exceeded my expectations:-)

Nice house and location but the 8am construction was absolutely awful. First morning we woke up to a loud saw, big boards slamming down, and guys yelling back and forth. This should have been disclosed in the description. This is important information. We go on vacation to sleep late and relax and this kind of ruined the vacation for the whole family. The house was nice and also clean but again I think it was unfair we weren’t warned.

It hurts me to write a bad review of any property in this beautiful neighborhood of Rosemary Beach. This is our fourth trip down and we love it! We chose a bigger house this year because we were traveling with my sister's family. Upon arriving we found construction trucks and workers with extremely loud hammers/saws working next to and in front of the property framing out a new home. All of the outdoor decks and grilling area were literally covered in sawdust and workers were leaning against the side of the house and visible along the bedroom windows. We immediately called before even opening the door and ask to be moved (offering to even pay a difference in pricing) and were told by a very rude agent that Benchmark is not responsible for construction around their properties. We ask to speak to a manager and were told no. This was disappointing especially considering it was not a busy time in Rosemary. The problems continued and we were woken at 7am each day to loud construction. It was not the relaxing vacation we expected! After many calls and emails, a professional manager did finally call us on the 3rd day but was unable to offer any solution except a 5% credit towards a future booking.
The home itself was spacious and comfortable. It was however short bath and beach towels, extra garbage bags, and toilet paper, and there was not even salt in pepper left in the kitchen cabinets. It possibly was a new rental that needed to work out the kinks but that is usually something a management company would suggest and handle. Beware of booking with Benchmark Management.
