Couldn't fault our stay in the Marlborough apartments, the rooms were excellent, clean, well furnished, with all the amenities of home. We will definitely be staying there again on our next visit to Scarborough...

Property is right on the front at Scarborough in a quiet location with fantastic views of the sea. The property is ground floor but has about 8 steps at the front to the door. It is beautifully decorated and was exceptionally clean. The property is one room with a kitchen with everything you need. It has a lovely comfy bed with quality bedding. There is a wardrobe and shelves and two bedside cabinets. In the bay window which has lovely sash windows there is a table and two chairs with lovely sea views. There is a lovely shower room with toilet and sink shut off in the corner. This is a lovely room and is very good for short breaks. If staying longer I would have preferred more comfy chairs in the windows but I would definitely recommend this property and return again

The property was nice, however a couple of things were missing such a tea, coffee etc that would normally be provided. We also had to bring our own towels which in fairness we were made aware of before arrival. There was also only a limited amount of toilet roll so we had to buy some whilst there. Nice property but would not stay again.

Good location with sea views.
Basic - has what you need, but no frills and somewhat cheaply furnished.
Keysafe in foyer with only one key and parking permit on check-in.

The apartment is excellently furnished and fitted out. The sea view from both rooms was superb.

Stayed here before like the location, close enough to main centre but away from the hustle and bustle. It view as you step out of the front door is spectacular.

The flat was comfortable as a base but I did email Homeaway with no reply. I ended up contacting the owner direct by phone who then immediately sent me some important information so really it would be better to cut out the middle man . There were some very noisy guests either to the side or above us rowing in the early hours which woke us and our view was horrible All in all it was fit for purpose.

Flat was small, uncomfortable and a little grubby. That said the bathroom was clean with enough necessities ie toilet roll. The kitchen area was clean stocked well with pots, cutlery, cleaning items and washing up liquid. The sheets were all clean and despite the uncomfortable lounge area the beds were amazingly soft. Also what a view!! All electricals worked. If youre going with a child the park down the cliff is a god save. I wouldnt stay again just because of the size and discomfort but it would definately suit some people just not us with a couple and small child. The owners communicated well and the property is well secured.

Everything was ok but I thought it was a lot more modern in the pictures than in real life

Good location near town. 3 min walk to a very nice pub with good food and sky sports. Very clean rooms the bed was so comfortable didn’t want to get up in the mornings. Would definitely recommend

The only think positive I can say is its location and views. The flat we stayed in, flat 3, was extremely tired looking. As soon as you walk in the room your senses are assaulted by an awful smell I can only describe as a sewage stench, it was strongest near the sink in the main living area. My 2 year old rolled around on the carpet in the main room and his t-shirt stunk sour, very dirty carpet. The décor looks like it hasn't been touched since the 80's, very sorry looking woodchip, everywhere.
For some insane reason the very cramped bathroom does not have a sink in it, you have to do your business and then open doors to get access to a sink in either the main room or either of the bedrooms. The water pressure feels like the owner maybe blowing water through a straw, simply put there isn't any, god help you if someone else uses the water at the same time.
The rooms are extremely cramped and it is obvious someone has done a very poor job of hacking a large room up into very narrow, almost corridor rooms ( evidenced by a curtain rail that strangely travels through the wall from one room into another.
I could go on but I can't be bothered to waste any more of my time describing the place.
Location YES accomodation NO.

Horrible overpowering chemical smell when we arrived. Had to open all the windows and leave for a few hours. Was a bit better when we got back but still smelt. Whole place needs a bit of tlc. Paper thin walls\floors. We could hear people snoring.
Not in a bad spot easy access to town etc.
Would i stop again ? NO

We have stayed a few times now at these apartments and they are a definite "you get what you pay for" kind of place. The location is great, the parking is great, the views are great. The apartments are basic but absolutely fine. We will definitely stay again soon!

The studio has recently had a refurb and was lovely. It was very clean & in the perfect location for what we wanted. The owners were on hand too. The only downside was towels aren’t included but after a quick txt with an additional cost they were quickly delivered.

There are certain things you expect if you are staying in an apartment or hotel. One is towels, £10 charge if you wanted them, the other is soap and shampoo, none available. These things are small things but make a difference, it seems the owner forgets this. We’ve had to use washing up liquid to wash and it wasn’t nice!

Cute and cosy little apartment, everything provided for cooking, bedding provided. My only issue was with not being allowed to flush the toilet at night. I understand the owners live in the next door room, walls are really thin so if you flush you will be disturbing them. Apart from that had a lovely stay.

Last-minute booking. Cost under £50 per night for 2 of us. It was spotless and comfortable. We were on the top floor in a fairly old building that had its quirks – uneven walls, an occasional unexpected slope in the floor, but it was sparkly clean, comfy and well-equipped. The view was a delight. I’ve stayed in expensive hotel suites that have been far less comfortable to relax in.

it was a nice comfortable stay. in a brilliant part of scarborough.

Nice place, only left t.towel, couldn’t find the housekeeper, had to go out and buy bath towels and a hand towel.
Everything was dusty, had to dust the t.v before watching it,and lounge lamp, left everything else.
Burned myself twice on towel rail,to near toilet.
Lots of creaking floors from above and doors constantly banging, felt like the other guests were in your room the walls are so thin.
Don’t usually do this kind of review, but was really unhappy, not what we expected,I know you get banging doors anywhere you stay but they were really loud.
