The place is very well situated in the old town of Genoa and right on a small lively piazza which was full of people and lively in the evenings. Nothing that bothered us, on the contrary.
Susanna who helped us check in was very friendly and communicated good and well in advance via WhatsApp.
The apartment was well designed with a mix of old paintings and new furniture. The bed was good but the sofa bed was pretty hard for doubling as a bed. We were ok though.
We only got one set of keys which made it hard for a family of four to go out separately. This I think they can easily solve.

The service of the personell was perfect. Responded quickly and friendly on our requests. Helped us in Many ways to make our stay and trips as easy and comfortable as possible. Many thanks

The owners of the apartment were very friendly and easy to deal with. A wonderful old apartment with high walls and a fine art painting under the ceiling. Very central in the old town in the city, close to shops, bars and restaurants.

Loved it for the adventure and friendly staff. But it's not a typical hotel: Finding the unmarked entry and making sure we coordinated arrival with our hosts. But it worked out perfectly. It's really an old "inn." Plus there are a few flights of stairs. But it's location right in the center of everything walkable (but not loud and off the main street). (Not good for cars probably.)

SIMPLY RUBBISH!! CHARMING? WHAT CHARMING? EVERYTHING WAS SO DATED AND NOT CURRENT. STAIRS WERE NOISY, SOME LIGHT BULBS WERE DEAD AND NOT BEING REPLACED. SHOWER ROOM SMELL, COFFEE MACHINE WAS OUTSIDE THE ROOM WHICH DID NOT WORK PROPERLY, OUTSIDE THE PREMISES WERE VERY NOISY WITH BARS!! THIS PROPERTY WAS PROBABLY CONVERTED FROM THEIR SPARE HOUSE/ROOMS INTO A HOTEL LIKE ROOMS TO MAKE MONEY FOR THE OWNER BUT IT WAS SO CLEAR THAT THEY SPEND VERY LITTLE MONEY FOR CONVERSION. VALUE FOR MONEY? FAR FROM IT!! WILL NOT USE THIS POOR ACCOMODATION AGAIN EVEN IF IT IS FOR FREE!!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

We were just visiting for a night, the room we stayed in we paid around 1000 sek for 1 night which I believe to be a reasonable price for the room we had (Romantic doubleroom). The host couple were really nice and helpful, they gave a lot of reccomendations and there was also coffee and tea in the corridor. Location was also great. There is a little strange smell from the bathroom sometimes, but it was solved by just closing the bathroom door. Probably the pipes are just old (it is an old, historic building)

I had 2 great days. I was there for work and this was a perfect place, when you are tired of normal hotels. the location makes this place special. Room has what you need for relaxe and recover and prepaire for seing Cenoa.

The location is good - near groceries, restaurants, transportation, shopping, etc. There is no reception, so the host comes to meet you with the keys. He was quick to respond. The room looked beautiful. However the bathroom has been quite used. The shower drain wasn’t working well so we couldn’t take a shower for more than 5-10 mins without the risk of the floor being flooded. I guess it makes sense why the shower pressure was so low too.
Our room had adjoining doors to the next room, which is ok, however there’s a big gap under the door and the large keyhole was taped up for privacy purposes. So we could hear the next room over quite clearly.
Considering the price, the location is good, but perhaps some missing amenities/small touches. We only had really small tubes of soap (all in one shampoo conditioner and soap) for showering. There was no mini fridge.
Overall it was an average stay with a room that looks beautiful on the surface, but the price didn’t feel justified.

For the right traveler this is a hidden gem, but it’s not the accommodation that is advertised nor what we were looking for when we booked.
Take care booking though. There is no outdoor pool; there is a public lido at 850m away that would have cost us €48 per day. There is no nearby beach; the nearest being several km away and needing a car, train or bus. The owner has suggested that this is a translation problem that has been raised several times with hotels.com. As the client, I have no interest in who to blame; only that we did not get what we booked and reasonably expected.
All that said, if you are looking for a small, characterful, interesting stay in the centre of Genoa then this could be for you. It’s convenient, clean, and a bit different to just another ‘chain’ hotel room

Amazing stay, location is great, owners are lovely, clean rooms, bed is super comfy, shower is amazing… couldn’t of been better for a solo trip

The most perfect location and a beautiful apartment. Good communication and a nice welcome. We can highly recomment this place

The place was in a nice location and the house is pretty, but there were several things listed/promised that were not here, like a TV with Netflix and premium channels. There was no pool that we could find within 300 meters, as listed, but there was one near the wharf. The communication with the host was great ti start but then when his assistant took over she brushed us off, was a little rude, and rushed out of the house before explaining anything to us. We had to call her a few times to get the wifi password. The table tops were dirty when we arrived as well.

Luckily we got a room in Genoa even though it was a last minute booking. Nice room. Great location, you have great access to many restaurants and tourist attractions. Special mention to the wonderful hosts Susi and Anthonio. They were amazing and helpful. 👏😊
Highly recommend the place. 👍👍

This stay met expectations. The room is very comfortable. The location is excellent and within walking distance to all major sites in Genova (the lighthouse is a bit long of a trek!). You are close to great restaurants and nightlife if that’s your thing.
With that being said, the room is very private and quiet.
Riccardo was an excellent host and very helpful finding parking and providing recommendations for local restaurants, sites, etc. Check in was a breeze.
For those booking keep in mind the following:
There is no breakfast available at the residence you stay at- Riccardo has worked out a discount at one of the close cafes (Cafe Douce)
You can try to find street or self parking, but riccardo recommended the 24 hr Piccapietra parking lot. Very convenient, 5-7 min walk to the residence. Trade off is that it costs €22 a night to leave your car there. If you don’t want to do that, plan ahead.

Ricardo was very welcomng and grqciously accommodated my early arrival.
The room is a fully modern one in an ancient building with stone steps and classic acrchitectural touches still in place. And steps from Piazza San Lorenzo, the harbour, and several Metro stops.
Cafes, art shops, narrow local lanes all within steps. Ideal location. Walkable from the cruise port and two main strain stations.

Nice, clean room. We stayed one night, as we were passing through. Great frescos on the walls and ceilings. I was a little concerned with check in, as we were arriving a little late, but all went as planned... no problems at all.

Ricardo met us and helped us find parking and escorted us personally to our room.
The room was beautiful and full of character and historic charm. The location is in the heart of Genova and walking distance to many attractions. No need for a car to enjoy a large part of the city.
The bed was comfortable and you had a gorgeous view of the ceiling mural. The space itself is small , but enough room for 2 for a short stay.
We were a little disappointed with the lack of amenities. The coffee machine, which was shared by all the guests, did not have enough pods and they were not replenished. There was no complimentary breakfast offered, only a recommendation to a cafe that supposedly had an agreement with the owner. No special deal was given to us by them and they were quite rude. There are however many other places nearby to dine. As a caveat, if you're unaware of the Italian breakfast, don't expect eggs, bacon and hashbrowns.
Overall, it is a great place to explore Genova and Ricardo did a nice job of communicating with us and suggesting things to do and see.

This was a lovely place to stay that has been nicely updated. It is in an absolutely ideal location, walking distance to most tourist attractions in Genoa, and right in the heart of the old part of Genoa. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay here again. Please note, if you haven’t been to Genoa before it can be tricky to find. Even though it’s only a block or so from Piazza de Ferrari, it’s hidden away in a tiny plaza in an unmarked building. To access, you need to be able to call the owner. Our phones weren’t working in Italy but fortunately, people were extremely helpful, and a woman who saw our bewildered looks, called the owner for us.

Make sure you can handle steps as four flights are required to get to the rooms. Watch your head in the bathroom if over six feet or you will clip the beam. Walls not soundproof.

This place has an exellent location right on the best side of the centro storico di Genova, a short way to both port, small alleys, Piazza de Ferrari, via Garibaldi, via XX Settembre... you name it. The room had a super nice modern italian design in a historic frame, with f.ex. fresco in the ceiling and carefully restaured original wooden floor. It really is as nice as it looks in the pictures. We were a family with two teenagers staying here (4 persons in total) - the room with mezzanino worked well for us. With small children I wouldn’t dare to stay here because of the railing with large openings, but this is clear when you look at the pictures :-) Riccardo who is running this place was super simpatico and helpful and we got all the information we needed for the stay. I would definately return to this place!
