This hotel was a wonderful pit stop in Germany. Couldn’t be happier with our experience from friendliness of hotel staff to the well kept grounds. It is in a very short walking distance to the city center to enjoy restaurants and shopping.

The staff members at the Stadthotel were very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility itself was an attractive, older building, but our rooms was modern and appeared to be newly renovated. There was dining in the hotel itself where breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was open for evening meals on the weekends, but unfortunately it was fully booked when we were there. We heard it was fantastic though! There was a very pretty courtyard which would be lovely in the summer. The locale was more residential, but within easy distance of the downtown. We could easily walk to the Christmas Market and other points of interest. There was limited free parking on the property and cheap street parking all around the hotel. Altogether a 10/10 stay and great value.

Great hotel and great staff. Very accomodating- they even let us check in quite early.

Perfect quite location 2 blocks from the action. People in the area were very friendly. Maybe 10 minute walk from the train. The Inkeep, was so chill. Checked us in and cooked us Breakfast. There's a reason the Stadt is so highly rated. Leave those chain hotels and join the community. A local great spot.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights, the room was fabulous, the host Herr Jacobs was beyond accommodating, friendly and kind, I felt more like I was at my families home.
The location was close to downtown and the Hotel had all the European Charm expected to include breakfast, coffee was amazing!
I received a call to assure all was good and I would arrive on time, then greeted by wonderful young man eager to help and take out suitcases upstairs. Everyone spoke beautiful English and saved me the embarrassment of butchering the German language.
Thank you for a lovely time!

The restaurant was great. The rooms were clean and sizable. Herr Jacobs and the staff were the friendliest and most caring out of every hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Europe.

As a solo traveler, this was perfect for my needs. It was about a 15 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, and ont about 5 minutes from the Stiftkirche, Schillerplatz and their surrounding pedestrian areas. The room, bed and shower were both small, but all that I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Herr Jacobs was a fantastic place to stay! This hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. I felt like I was completely at home. The staff was warm and welcoming and even made me a sandwich for my travels home. The food was delicious from breakfast to dinner. Truly a unique dining experience as the menu is slightly different every evening. I was there for a little over a week while working in the area. The hotel is easily walkable to the center of town and a great price. I will undoubtedly stay again!

Nice little hotel. Central. Nice breakfast. However, the experience was disturbed by a rude and unfriendly attitude from the owner/chef when we politely asked whether there was a table in the bistro.

What a great place to stay! Very walkable to the downtown area. Room was very nice and well kept. The owners are invested in keeping the hotel up to date both inside and out. The staff is very helpful and goes above and beyond to help. They made an excellent recommendation on a restaurant for that evening. All in all it was a good choice for my wife and I.

I loved my stay at Stadt. Holger and the team provided amazing hospitality. I was in town for work. Most of my colleagues stayed at name brand hotels, but I ventured out and made the right decision. I had to work the night shift at the nearby base, so my hours at the hotel were opposite of the other guests. When I returned back to the hotel each morning around 10, his team always offered breakfast in the restaurant! It was just what I needed. I also ate in the restaurant one night and had Holger's suggestion. It was the best meal in town and clearly made with so much thought and joy. I plan to return with my partner and spend more time enjoying the area and Holger.

lovely hotel really close to the centre. Rooms are friendly, comfartable and with big windows. The staff is super nice and helpful. Very impressed by the breakfast, not thats its overly big, but regional and organic products and a very delicious fruit salad. Street parking is available for just €3 a day. Would definitely stay there again!

Perhaps the friendliest staff I have ever encountered and I travel frequently. I was there to visit my son in the AF and everyone literally made me feel like family. Close to city center, not an extravagant room, but more than made up by friendliness!

This hotel was a wonderful choice for our trip! The location was a 15 minute walk from the train station and close to retail shops for shopping. The hotel does not look like much from the front, but once you enter the doors you come into an environment that is committed to Service and for filling your needs. The morning staff made sure that breakfast was everything we wanted, including creating options that were not on the breakfast buffet to suit our desire. The in-house bistro is only open a few nights a week, but the chef created menu is amazing! One evening we dined there and had the Table Buffet that included 10 separate dishes, and each dish was a culinary delight. And the wine that was recommended by the staff paired extremely well with each dish!
