Toilet seat had urine behind the lid. Bed was so used and sunkin in that I got a backache. Worst of all, check in counter lady was rude and disrespectful. Older Filipino lady with an angry face. Name started with E.

Bellman- Excellent, front desk, restaurant, tram and security staff very helpful and friendly

The property was very big! Lots of art throughout the property. Family friendly. If you are staying in the Ocean tower rooms, those are about 10-15 minute walk from the lobby entrance or about 20-25 minutes by tram (as the tram stops for other sections of hotel)
The Valet service team was very friendly and efficient. The views from our room were very beautiful (King Bed with sofa bed oceanfront room)
If you are looking to spend most of your time at the resort, I highly recommend as this hotel will keep you occupied with all the different areas to explore! We also, enjoyed seeing the dolphins onsite.

The hotel beach is a joke

Do not stay here. Zero help with baggage, 12 minute hike from main entrance to ocean tower or wait for super slow tram. Upon arrival after the hike to ocean tower, we get to our ocean view room! Grassy bank on the main level with a walking path right outside the door was more like it! They did move me higher up when i told them that was not the view i paid for. Then the desk informs me restaurants are open until 10, glad i checked, they close at 9 so we rush to the only option available at 845pm after arriving and pay $100 for mediocre at best spaghetti and meatballs! Then i request a microwave to reheat the overpriced leftovers and they have tbe ordacity to try to change $30 for what should already be in the room! They finally agreed to do it complimentary, but when it arrived out was filthy inside! Insulting is an understatement! Don't even get me STARTED on tbe captive dolphin situation! Very small enclosure for i think 5 total dolphins and a sea turtle with its shell branded! Disgusting. No beach access, tram doesn't run until 6am so leaving at 430am with all your luggage, you're screwed. I heard there is a bellhop but no one ever offered this service to me or any of the other frustrated people with their luggage, some of them were quite elderly! $55 a day to valet your car or $48 to self park. There is no place to park for free. A prison escape would've been easier than getting out of that place! You leave and don't come back for the day! Huge ordeal otherwise. AVOID!

Awful check in - took 45 minutes
Birds in Ocean tower - Chirp all night
Bird poop all over Adult only pool
Shower head was broken
Safe in room was broken
Sheets smelled like Mildew
Tram was super slow
No towels at the pool until 1-2 pm
No servers at the pool .
I could go on and on about how underwhelming this resort is but I don’t feel like wasting my time on this dump .
Avoid this place if you can it’s gone way downhill since the last time we stayed 6 years ago .
I can’t think of one positive to say minus the elevators are fast .

The hotel has several buildings, but the only parking is near the main entrance. In order to get from the Ocean Tower the building farthest away is by tram or boat - which run every 20-25 minutes with no prescribed schedule. You can’t plan and if you miss it - you have a long wait. We felt like prisoners.

It was great. Room was huge. Just needs carpet cleaning and tub was a little dirty. Found one pair of silver earring in the shower. I hope housekeeper cleans tub and shower.

Amazing. 10/10

Upon checking in the staff was rude. Our room was not ready when we arrived, so they told us we would get a text when room was ready. Check in was at 4pm. We never got a text. Our room was ready at 7pm. The hotel claimed that they were busy; however, it was obvious they were not at capacity. This is very disapointing. This was our third time staying at the Hilton Waikeloa. Not sure we want to stay here again.

I loved that the room was easily accessible to the poolside

Everything was mostly good.
Except parking fee was not included in cost.
And
Need to take a train from one hotel lobby or walk about 3000 steps to your hotel.
There was a train that went to each hotel.
Parking was rather far if you rented a car..

Just fine

Al boats were shut down and only one tram was running. So it was a choice between a long walk or long wait to get from one end of the property to the other.
3.7
The room wasn't very clean. The carpet smelled old. They were doing repairs and the material smelled.
It is a Paradisiac place, I love it. The natural views are breathtaking, however, it would be better to have more amenities near by, like places to eat and more choices that are walk-able. I wish, parking wasn't that expensive.
3.7
Amazing place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. If you want to explore the Island, they offer tours or you would need a car. Parking is $48 per day or $55 for valet, but totally worth it. You can enjoy snorkeling at the lagoon or swimming in any of the pools. They need more dining options.

We needed a one night stay location and ended up in the Ocean Tower. This site has to be one of the strangest setups I have ever seen. After parking and entering the lobby we were informed that checkin for the Ocean Tower required a tram ride to the far side of the property. The tram speed was barely above walking pace and it took 20+ minutes on the tram to get to the Ocean Tower and then be partially directed to check in.
To exit the property was another 20 minute tram ride back or you could walk it.
Would not recommend this property to others.
3.7
Family friendly. Resort fee was well worth it for all activities included. Parking fee is a lot though.
3.7
The food in all of their restaurants are very very very expensive! All their food in all of their restaurants are not good. We tried them so you don't have to. Avoid this resort.
3.7
We love staying here. Lots to do or nothing at all.
3.7
I had to kill a cockroach in my room at ocean tower then found an old marshmallow under the bed which probably attracted the insect. they cleaned the room after complain though.
3.7
Poor service, inadequate amenities , had to call house keeping multiple times to refill shower gel. Not a value for money experience. Can get better experience some place else with the same cost. If you want to just enjoy the resort then just buy a day pass. The restaurants inside the resort are overly expensive and also not that great for food. Better to get your own food.
Service was very sooty.
3.7
Overall, this property nice and lovely place for family.
Didn’t like about the restroom it was so slow when it flush.
3.7
The AC condensation line drip into the room causing a puddle they had zip tie holding the curtain to the moving bracket and room smelt muggy

Amazing

The ocean tower is furthest away from the parking and is a far walk. The provided tram was not faster than walking. Staying at this tower was inconvenient. The property in general is very large but lacks the food services to make for a convenient stay. The windows to our room were very dirty and we could not see out to the resort grounds. Inside the rooms were kept clean but the building and grounds in general needs quite a bit of repair. It would be better if you stayed at one of the condominiums outside the resort.

The positives: beautiful grounds and location and lots of activities.
The negatives: outdated, awful mattress, a HIKE to get to the room and a bike to the ice machine which wasn’t working, dusty and everything was expensive - valet was $55/day and self parking was $48/day but the worst part was how much staff didn’t care at all.

Beautiful resort with tons of amenities
Our major drawback was the distance/time it took to get from the parking lot to the tower we stayed in. There was no efficient way to get from Point A, the parking lot or our room, to Point B, the parking lot or our room. It was a super long. They offer a tram service, and while the concert is a good one, it is most definitely not an efficient one as it was extremely slow. We attempted to wait for it one morning, and after 15+ mins of waiting, we just walked, which again, is a pretty long haul. Since this was our first time on Hawaii as well as any Hawaiian island, we had all the plans to see and do as much as we could in the time we were on each island. With that said, this resort concept is for you to come and stay for the duration of your trip, I'd say. If that had been our plan, this place would have been absolutely perfect as it has all the amenities you can think of and the architecture and flora are all beautiful and breathtaking.

Room is dirty. Comforter with blood stains, after waiting for two hours, exchanged one, found different stains… left over food on the balcony’s flower bed. Also selling partial oceanfront view room as ocean front view rooms.
3.7
We were in one of the newly renovated ocean tower rooms. It was quite nice. In comparison the rest of the resort was dated in need of paint and renovation. Was nice stay but ridiculously overpriced restaurants.
3.7
The boat rides were not working. I like staying here because of the boat ride to and from the room. Took away from the experience. I would not stay here again if the boats are not working. I did not like the tram ride.
3.7
$50 to park your car here when staying here is unbelievable. I didn’t find out parking was $50 till after I checked in which took forever to get to. We weren’t able to check in the front entrance had to travel 15min to the end of the hotel then walk all the way back to entrance to go park the car. Not a great first experience

Beautiful property

Too big and too much walking

We always have a good time when we visit this property. However, there are a number of things that should be updated, kind worn outdated - Only one tram was transporting guests so the wait time was super long and the tram was very full. The boats weren't working either. Slide closed very early - if I was paying for a day trip I wouldn't have been pleased with that. Greenery around property could have better upkeep.. we had to move around a bit to get have all trees in our shots to be green. All in all staff very helpful and courteous. Ocean Tower is beautiful - we were very pleased with our room. Size location very updated - clean - it had everything we needed and our view was amazing. I definitely would stay again. Wishing we did not have to leave.
3.7
The amenities are great if you prefer spending your time at the resort; however if you prefer to get out and explore the island, save the money and stay somewhere else. Our room was in need of a little refresh.
