OUTSTANDING!!

Barrels too difficult to find when arriving in the dark. Carrying luggage and trying to identify numbers was a nightmare. And then making up your own bed late at night with tired children and then stripping them all again in the morning. If the price was reasonable this would be acceptable. But not for the money you pay!

One needs to be on the clear that this is a camping and as such there are designated facilities to use a bathroom, shower, cook and launder as well as places to barbecue and a dining room. But if you don’t go expecting a hotel, this is wonderful. Granted, it’s a few minute walk to the facilities which you need to be aware of if you tend to go to the bathroom several times at night. There are great playgrounds for older children, the facilities are clean and well kept and the breakfast buffet is quite nice. The prices at the camping is very expensive, there is a supermarket and they price like an airport. For grocery shopping, there is a great supermarket about 2 km away.
We stayed in a wilderness barrel and though the space is small, there is a small refrigerator, a table you can pull out, huge space under the beds were you can put your suitcases and a table outside the barrel to eat. There are also a lot of water taps around the entire area.
As the barrel is made of wood, it lacks isolation. So during the summer it gets really hot inside during the day and chilly during the night. We didn’t perceive this as a problem as it was easily amenable by keeping the door open on the evening . Make sure to bring your own bed linen as the ones for rent are pricey.

Great little cabin. It’s small and it’s a camping type accommodation so no linen and towels but they provided blankets and dish towels but no dish soap. The grounds are great with lots of playground and legos sculptures for kids to explore. 2 or 4 seats quad bikes for hire to explore the campground. Great stay for kids but expensive.

Very nice place, perfect for children

The room was easy to get to, but I reaaaally am not sure I saw the toilet & shower was in a separate block. The path outside was full of puddles and mud that it came inside our room so the floor felt dirty. Again I am not sure I saw that we had to hire linen, both myself and son had bad backs the next morning, and it wasn’t noted anywhere in paperwork, nor did the receptionist say we had breakfast included - I had assumed I had made a mistake in thinking id booked it - but luckily we went to the pirate buffet to ask about dinner and they told us or we would have missed it. I think it would suit others ok, prob when not raining and if they expected to walk to the toilets. So more open in what we get would have been better but although it wasn’t awful, it was disappointing for what we thought we had. Also we said the tv didn’t work, nobody went to fix it, the receptionist said nobody had gone yet and they never did but it turned out to be fine. But had it not, it wouldn’t have been resolved.

We stayed in a Wild West themed cabin that slept 4 people in 2 sets of bunk beds. We were warm and cosy on both nights of our stay. The cabin was spotless clean and had everything we needed. You hire linen for the bed for about £10 I think. Excellent location to walk to LEGOLAND and a bit of a further walk to LEGO House. Great place to stay. Breakfast was good.

Good place next to legoland

I think that there was a lack of information on the portal, no one did not show that it was a place for camping, therefore there were no bathrooms, towels and bedding had to be paid for, in addition to very high prices. I think all this should have been seen on the portal. Although for children it was a nice experience.

The barrels are not quite suited for really young children, that should be more clearly stated before booking. Apart from that, though, everything was awesome!

The information was misleading, we thought we were staying in a barrel and not a regular cabin.

Cabin was clean, and comfortable, 10 mins walk from LegoLand.

This is the third time we are staying at barrels, and we just love this camping! It is very close to Legoland, and has everything you might need to in place.

It was in very good blend with a nature. Everything was wonderful, except the central restrooms/showers for all . It is possible to consider common showers, however the toilet is not something luxury to have at the cabins. When there is a kid with you and middle of the night the kid wants toilet it's not the best thing to take him/her to outside for a need.

The cabin was in pretty good condition. No hot water. Bunkbeds are a bit small for adults. Since there is no air conditioning, cabin gets stuffy really quickly. So be sure to air the cabin properly before a good night's sleep. Service at info desc was excellent and overall experience was good in trailer park standards.

Nice barrel but small. Ventilation is opening Windows style. Comfy beds but not much Space.
Very nice camping for kids.

Welcoming, friendly staff help make the stay most enjoyable. The cabins are small but perfectly formed. The bathroom facilities were very clean as were the communal cooking areas. Breakfast was plentiful, regularly replenished and the make your own pancake station was a hit with the whole family. Overall, a lovely place to stay if you’re not looking for something more than basic.

This is an interesting experience. We usually choose hotel when we travel. It's the first time for us to choose a camp site. The house is nice, not spacious but enough to open our luggage. The bed linen is a bit.... um... dirty. It would be better to bring your own linen. There is no bathroom in the house and you need to go outside to the common bathroom. Common bathroom is clean and spacious. Lucky that we remember to bring our own bathing gel coz there is no bathing things provided. The camp site has common kitchen that you can cook by yourself or you can go to their restaurant to enjoy the buffet. However, don't expect too much from the buffet, not delicious at all, just to fill your stomach. Overall, it is an interesting experience.

Walking distance to LEGOland and LegoHouse; supergood shared showers.
Breakfast room too crowded, too hot, too much empty coffee machines, out of bread ; too much pancakes smell / overheated breakfast room.
