The place was fantastic overall! However, the rooms could benefit from improved lighting. Without natural light, the interiors feel quite dark and dim, making it difficult to get ready comfortably.

Loved how close it was to shopping, dining, and other tourist attractions. The staff was friendly, and very responsive. The only small complaint I had, was the water from the shower comes out and goes into the room if you don’t put a towel to absorb the water.

Very charming and perfectly located small hotel in the old town. Wonderful staff, small breakfast area with a large selection of traditional Colombian flavours.

The hotel was beautiful, however there are some issues I can't ignore. 's very noisy. Yu can hear everything outside as the walls are thin. We had to sleep with the tv on white noise just to clock out people walking and doors closing. Also it rained in our room.

The hotel was amazing so much restaurant and bar near by that was walking distance. The staff was so amazing. Even though some couldn’t speak much English they definitely understood very well. The bed was comfortable, the pool was nice and cool. I love it

I totally recommend this hotel! It's just like the pictures. We stayed for four days last week, and it really exceeded my expectations. The staff, especially Brian and Jose, were outstanding, and the restaurant was fantastic. The hotel itself was beautiful, the room was very clean, and the AC worked perfectly. The food at the bar was excellent, and the included breakfast was amazing! They had fresh ingredients for making omelets, a variety of breads both savory and sweet, delicious local dishes, juices, yogurt—it was all fantastic!
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit the rooftop terrace with the spa and jacuzzi, but we did enjoy the pool and the underground jacuzzi, which were both nice. The location was perfect—just a couple of blocks from La Plaza de Santo Domingo, close to everything, yet on a very quiet street. I can't wait to come back!

Really peaceful hotel, great room, great service.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are gorgeous and the air conditioning is very strong. The lobby, pool, restaurant and even the rooftop are very romantic and beautifully designed. We loved that it felt like we were staying in a historic building. The location of this hotel is on a quieter street but it is close to absolutely everything. We didn’t have to get a taxi or Uber once during our stay. The only thing I didn’t really like about the hotel was the vibes from the staff. We didn’t feel super welcomed by the front desk and felt inconvenient asking anything of them. Our Spanish isn’t very good so we know it was difficult to connect with us but it didn’t feel like they wanted to try. The only exception for this was the amazing woman who ran the breakfast in the morning. We didn’t get her name but she was fantastic. The food at the breakfast alone is a reason we’d come back. There was lots of choice and it was delicious. We didn’t try out the restaurant at this hotel because it was quite expensive. We got two drinks at the Pink Dolphin bar (piña colada and a margarita) and it was $43 Canadian. There are tons of more reasonably priced options close to the hotel though. I think the prices are why the bar are restaurant were empty the whole time we stayed there.
Despite this we would definitely go back, it was a beautiful place to stay.

It is as good as it looks online even better in person. Service was great and it was a peaceful stay. For context in am an American Tourist and I can tell you this is on par with some of the finer hotels I have stayed at in the United States. Only thing to keep in mind is that you cannot bring guests to your room or to use the amenities.

The hotel staff was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The property was clean and well-maintained. The location is great, within walking distance to the best restaurants and tourist attractions. However, the bathroom could use more privacy, as it lacked sufficient separation from the rest of the room.
Our room was quite noisy early in the day because it was located near the pantry. The sound of breakfast preparations started early, and the smell of food permeated the room each morning, which was a bit disruptive.

The 2 pictures of the 2 pools were overstated. No elevator to our room on the 3rd floor. The night before we checked out we asked the desk to run our charges since we should have had none. The desk person agreed no open charges .On the way out in the morning a different desk person wanted another 34000 Colombian Pesos for the mini bar. Finally, he agreed it was a mistake. The breakfast was so so.The service was so so. We had come from Medellin which is more classy, sophisticated & international. The hotel itself if you like old nostalgic, historic structures & decorations is for you.Two days in the old city is enough. Stay at Boca Grande, its like Miami Beach. More modern. Take taxis to the old city. Some great restaurants in the old city near the hotel. Two people can eat with a drink for $55 / $60 American dollars

Absolutely beautiful property and wonderful staff. Very comfortable bed, air conditioning worked great, pool was fabulous. Breakfast was very good, staff made omelets, hotel also has a small bar inside at night. Safe quiet street, pharmacy and gelato one block away. Many amazing restaurants just a few blocks walking. Would come back again and recommend to others.

Ideally located within the walled city with access to most of the tourist entertainment in Cartagena. A quick Uber ride away from Boca Grande and other beaches if desired. Staff at the property is very nice, the property itself is very beautiful. Bedroom lighting was poor, rooftop pool can use some updating but nice to have. A bit disappointed with the staff not being able to accommodate my pregnant wife. We had to walk up 4 flights of stairs in extreme Cartagena heat every time we left the property. Included breakfast was really good. We are satisfied with our experience overall.

The hotel is spectacular, the amenities are plenty and beautifully decorated. The breakfast every day was delicious and the food/bar options great. The staff was very helpful and nice. The location is also ideal as you’re close enough to everything but far enough to not hear any noise. The only comment I would make is that our room (king with balcony) had the bathroom and shower as part of the room separately only by a glass so privacy was limited. Other than that, the experience was wonderful.

This is a review for Hotel Don Luis since Hotel Casa La Factoria lost air-conditioning and moved us to Hotel Don Luis. A new but amazing hotel. Great rooms, best showers and comfortable beds. Service was excellent and the restaurant had outstanding Italian menu. The rooftop jacuzzi was more a pool in size and offered great views of the city and the sea.
We would definitely come back! Can highly recommend!!

Gorgeous property and room. 2 pools at the property which we really enjoyed especially the courtyard pool which was decent sized and offered sun or shade. The onsite bar and restaurant were both very nice, too. The restaurant especially offered a wonderful breakfast. Our room was ample sized and very comfortable. Would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town of Cartagena with a lovely indoor pool. Great breakfasts, nice bar and roof terrace. Couldn’t fault it!
