Cute boutique hotel. The room was decent size. The decor was lovely. The bed was very firm which I didn’t enjoy but my significant other didn’t have a issue. Was excited that they had an onsite coffee shop. That excited quickly faded as I paid 22.00 for gross coffee, a blueberry muffin without blueberries, and I didn’t attempt the yogurt parfait. Had to stop for gas station coffee on my way to work.

Kenosha is adorable and this hotel is even more adorable! Decor is stylish and comfortable. Staff was lovely. Price was right. Definitely would stay here again and recommend! We were there over Thanksgiving and the rooftop bar was not open. This is not shocking given it was 20 degrees outside, but we would have braved it for a drink.

First of all, trying to get parking information from the front desk was extremely confusing. They kept telling us that parking was in the hotel building, not the building across the street, which we eventually figured out. The bed mattress and bed pillows were hard and extremely uncomfortable. Our room was on the first floor and I tried to utilize the ice machine on my floor. Empty. Went to tell hotel staff because I thought they might want to refill it. The desk attendant could not be bothered and told me to go all the way up to the 4th floor and get ice. I was disappointed with our overnight stay after reading “exceptional” reviews, and especially after paying what I paid for the one night stay. Both my husband and I give the hotel a C. The one bright point of our stay was walking down to the 1844 restaurant just to check it out and we engaged in a very nice conversation with the hostess at the desk who was very nice and helpful. The front desk staff needs more people like her.

This is an historic building with beautiful decor and wonderful front porch dining. The beds are extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the dining room happy hour. Wish the rooftop bar was open on Monday and Tuesday!

Having a banquet hall right next door which was always loud and attendees took parking from the hotel was not ideal!

The only problem encountered is that the shower stall in my room had incredibly slick floor. I would really hate to see someone get hurt and sue the hotel. Other than that, it was wonderful!

Wonderful stay all the way around. Quiet. Clean. Walkable. Easy parking.

Beautiful property, original decorations. Nice little gym, fun game/Rec room. Disappointed that their restaurants were rarely open when we were there over the weekend. Definitely would come back here if I’m the area.

Two requests for early arrival were denied. Initial room assignment was abysmal, with only window view obstructed by rooftop mechanical and otherwise overseeing a garbage dumpster. Hotel's featured "Crow's Nest" rooftop. cocktail room was not open (we were told it is not open on Sundays, such fact was not stated or at best, was not clear, on website.

Convenient location for my needs
1.5
Very convenient location and rooms are nicely appointed. We stayed 4 nights. Other family members had issues with room reservations, promising connecting rooms then having none available and another had booked a suit only to find out it had been given to another guest. Our room was not serviced once, no trash, coffee refills, etc. I had to flag someone down in the hallway for another box of tissue.

We enjoyed our stay at the Stella. I had a beautiful front landing to have breakfast on and relax and coffee shop right inside next to the lobby. The lobby was decorated nicely with antique furniture, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well designed, we especially liked the rooftop patio and being able to easily walk to restaurants. One of the best features is its location to Lake Michigan for morning walks before we headed out for the day.

Hotel staff and stay was great. Crows nest bar on roof top was great. I would love to see meal options from the 1844 up at that bar to be able to have a full meal on rooftop.
Great stay regardless, as always

I loved all the furnishings very retro and classy, the staff was very friendly and gave good advice on parking and where to eat. The roof top bar was very nice, wonderful view. Unfortunately, the bed/pillows were not very comfortable. It was good for one night for sure.
