Walks and places to eat: Just a few minutes walk from the cottage is the South West Coast Path from which you can walk as far or as little as you want. In one direction is Trebarwith Strand. Over a mile of golden sand the beach is washed twice daily by the incoming tide. At low tide there are rock pools and rock formations. Look out for the beautiful pink rock pools lined with quartz and ideal for children to explore.

Trebarwith is a great surfing beach, there is a Surf School for absolute beginners or those wishing to improve their techniques. Situated on the cliffs overlooking the beach is the Port William pub and restaurant. A fantastic place to sit and watch the sun set over this lovely beach.

Going in the other direction you come to Bossiney Cove, again a tidal beach but very popular with visitors and locals alike. Further on you reach Boscastle with it's beautiful harbour, shops and valleys. Stop and have a drink at the Cobweb Inn, famous for it's local beer and food.

Local Places of Interest: The Old Post Office is situated in the centre of the village. It is one of the most famous buildings in Cornwall and is full of charm and interest. Built in the 14th century it was originally a Manor House and then in 1844 was converted into a letter receiving office for the district. It is now owned by the National Trust and is open to visitors.

Tintagel Castle, situated on the dramatic coastline, is an awe inspiring and romantic place of legends. Joined to the mainland by a narrow neck of land, Tintagel Island is the remains of the medieval castle associated with King Arthur. Newly built in 2019 a foot bridge connecting the island to the mainland was opened allowing easier access and offering amazing views along the coast. A magnificent feat of engineering.
The remains of the 13th century castle are breathtaking. Steep stone steps, rugged walls and windswept cliffs encircle was remains of the Great Hall. English Heritage now care for this wonderful monument.

Our second stay at Veronica Cottage. Lovely and clean, everything provided. Close enough to Tintagel to walk to and although the garden is at the front, it was very quiet. Would definitely stay again

Charming, well furnished, and aesthetically pleasing. Fresh flowers in a vase. Clean and 'homey'. Near to great walks and access to the Castle and shops. A little confusing with slightly different addresses, from VRBO and the owner. Would have liked to have known the exact address earlier. A good selling point would have been the addition of photos of the interior. All round though, a delightful experience

the house is cozy, clean and has everything necessary. Tintagel is a nice place, you can take beautiful walks from home, go to the shops or enjoy a more delicious scone (which you will also find in the kitchen upon arrival!) In short, we had a fantastic time with mostly wonderful weather.

We really loved our stay in Veronica Cottage, Tintagel and the surrounding area. We could feel that Pamela puts so much love in letting her cottage. When we arrived we found cup cakes and a personal welcome card. Nothing for everyday use was missing. Pamela has thought of absolutely everything. Everything was clean. The contact with her was always very friendly. The surroundings are beautiful, the landscape breathtaking and all people so appreciative. We felt completely at ease and in the right place.

The property is excellent fully equiped and ready to go, that is once you get in. A 7 hour drive from North Wales and we found ourselves locked out of the cottage, the supposedly open door was locked, we had no code to the key safe and no emergency contact details. .With great good fortune, our stay, coincided with the 2024 general election, a local lady out canvassing, noticed our plight and came to our rescue and telephoned the owner on our behalf. Dispite reporting our difficulty the owner did not contact us either during our stay or after. All of that aside, and asides from the unexceptional Atlantic weather, (mostly drizzle), our stay was both comfortable and exercising. Make sure you have a telephone contact number before leaving home, as fortunately, General Elections do not happen too often. We left a DVD at the property to add to the small library, a set containing three films, 2 reference Arthur and another, viewing advice - unless you like cheese and ham acting, AVOID them like the plaque they are beyond dreadful.

All fine. Boiler broke down which showed the responsiveness of the owner, which was indeed fast and exemplary with same day resolution! Great stay! Great response!

Loved every minute of staying in Veronica Cottage. Had everything we needed. Pam is a great host, even leaving a cream tea for us. A five minute walk into Tintagel. Would definitely recommend.
