Our second stay at Veronica Cottage. Lovely and clean, everything provided. Close enough to Tintagel to walk to and although the garden is at the front, it was very quiet. Would definitely stay again

The property was lovely unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but the cottage was cosy

Charming, well furnished, and aesthetically pleasing. Fresh flowers in a vase. Clean and 'homey'. Near to great walks and access to the Castle and shops.
A little confusing with slightly different addresses, from VRBO and the owner. Would have liked to have known the exact address earlier. A good selling point would have been the addition of photos of the interior. All round though, a delightful experience

the house is cozy, clean and has everything necessary.
Tintagel is a nice place, you can take beautiful walks from home, go to the shops or enjoy a more delicious scone (which you will also find in the kitchen upon arrival!)
In short, we had a fantastic time with mostly wonderful weather.

We really loved our stay in Veronica Cottage, Tintagel and the surrounding area. We could feel that Pamela puts so much love in letting her cottage. When we arrived we found cup cakes and a personal welcome card. Nothing for everyday use was missing. Pamela has thought of absolutely everything. Everything was clean. The contact with her was always very friendly.
The surroundings are beautiful, the landscape breathtaking and all people so appreciative. We felt completely at ease and in the right place.

The property is excellent fully equiped and ready to go, that is once you get in. A 7 hour drive from North Wales and we found ourselves locked out of the cottage, the supposedly open door was locked, we had no code to the key safe and no emergency contact details. .With great good fortune, our stay, coincided with the 2024 general election, a local lady out canvassing, noticed our plight and came to our rescue and telephoned the owner on our behalf. Dispite reporting our difficulty the owner did not contact us either during our stay or after. All of that aside, and asides from the unexceptional Atlantic weather, (mostly drizzle), our stay was both comfortable and exercising. Make sure you have a telephone contact number before leaving home, as fortunately, General Elections do not happen too often. We left a DVD at the property to add to the small library, a set containing three films, 2 reference Arthur and another, viewing advice - unless you like cheese and ham acting, AVOID them like the plaque they are beyond dreadful.

All fine. Boiler broke down which showed the responsiveness of the owner, which was indeed fast and exemplary with same day resolution! Great stay! Great response!

Loved every minute of staying in Veronica Cottage. Had everything we needed. Pam is a great host, even leaving a cream tea for us. A five minute walk into Tintagel. Would definitely recommend.

This is a nice holiday property just a little bit tired looking .
The only real problem we had was the road in front of the house. It was quite busy and noisy at times oh and the cockerel he could be very noisy as well.

Easy access to dog friendly pubs and restaurants. We all had a wonderful time.
Remember to bring your own towels though, we didn’t and had to buy some while in Cornwall.

What a lovely holiday!
We had a really great time in Tintagel. We arrived to a yummy cream tea and our host was welcoming and friendly. My father-in-law enjoyed chatting with her about her beautiful garden. The cottage had all we needed and was perfectly placed to walk into Tintagel. The area and scenery was beautiful. Highly recommend Tintagel Brewery Bistro, just 10 mins up the road for great food!

A beautiful character cottage which exceeded expectation. The location was fantastic, close to public footpaths to castle, headland and beach and beautiful village - brilliant shops and bakeries for morning croissants! A fantastic location to visit nearby beaches of Trebarwith and Bossiney/Benoath. Daymer Bay worth a visit. All beaches dog friendly. A wonderful host with Pam whose welcome and care throughout made for a wonderful holiday!

Veronica Cottage Tintagel
We spent a fabulous week in this delightful cottage, it was every thing we hoped for and more. It is very comfortable & well equiped. It has a beautifully manicured garden which was lovely to sit with a drink & watch the sun go down.
Pam the owner left us a lovely welcome card and delicious scones with jam & clotted cream.
We will definatly be back.

and, importantly, the beds are really comfortable 😀😀!!
Perfectly situated with a 5 min walk into Tintagel and central enough to explore this lovely part of Cornwall, we couldn't have asked for anymore.
Thank you Pam, for letting us stay at your lovely cottage, see you again soon hopefully!!

Lovely cottage
Lovely cottage only a 5 minute walk to Tintagel town. Didn’t want for anything, slight damp smell in the ground floor bedroom but could be due to the age of the property. Would stay again if visiting this part of Cornwall.

Great Location
Great location, within walking distance of the coastal path, Tintagel town centre and castle. Lovely walks from the cottage to Bossiney Cove and Trebarwith Strand. Beautiful garden and comfy beds. Traditional cornish cottage, that would benefit from an update in places. Warm welcome.

Well equipped and comfortable cottage , a short walking distance from centre of Tintagel
I stayed for a week end-July/August with my wife, two daughters and dog and we all loved it. The cottage was everything we expected it to be. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and lovely garden that we could use. Pam was a lovely host and on hand to answer any questions. She very kindly offered to lend us towels as we'd forgot to bring any. Her cat Mr Ginger gave our 11 month labrador puppy Isla a wide berth to start with but they soon got use to each others presence.
The location of the cottage was perfect for us. Only a 7-8 minute walk to access the coastal path and the beautiful stretch of coastline around Tintagel with the walk to Boscastle being particularly stunning. Plenty of great dog walks! The local beach at Trebarwith is excellent albeit only accessible at low tide and the town of Tintagel which is less than 5 minutes away on foot has all the amenities you'd expect with plenty of choice regards eating out. We were all charmed by this part of Cornwall and having somewhere great to stay only served to enhance our experience. Thanks very much.

Excellent property
Veronica cottage was a delight from the moment we arrived. The cottage was warm and inviting. The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, bathrooms spotlessly clean, kitchen had all utensils we required. There was milk in the fridge and packets of biscuits waiting. The cottage is located within easy walking distance to the village with shops, bars and restaurants waiting to be explored. Lovely holiday and we will be returning soon.

Lovely house
Veronica cottage is home from home, tasteful, well equipped, wondrous colour design in kitchen, beautiful garden flowers, could spend hours exploring the amazing varieties.
Great base for north Cornwall touring if that is what is wanted
Tintagel and its church are most interesting, and Trebarwith strand not to be missed.
We had a restful break
We recommend Veronica cottage without hesitation, and the owner is warm and friendly, a good woman!

Perfect get away
There was everything we could want at this cottage. The owner is a lovely lady who is unobtrusive but very friendly. There is plenty to do in this area and the cottage was lovely to go back to each evening, and we were lucky enough to have very good weather so we could enjoy sitting outside on the patio.

Outstanding cottage in a beautiful area
A beautiful and outstanding cottage just on the edge on Tintagel, within easy walking distance of all that the village has to offer.
The cottage offered excellent facilities, a real home away from home, we were given a very warm welcome, the owner was most accommodating with out earlier than estimated arrival on the Saturday and it was an absolute pleasure to meet Mr Ginger.
Veronica cottage is maintained to a very high standard and exceptionally clean and very well equipped, due to the time of the year not everything in the village was open but the local shops offering locally sourced produce was refreshing and the King Arthurs Inn does exceptionally good food and of course the Cornish pasties are a must!

A lovely cottage in a quiet peaceful area.
We (wife, daughter, husband grandson and dog) stayed for Christmas 2016. The owner (Pam) had decorated the house and we had a Christmas tree. It really set the scene for Christmas. The cottage was lovely and warm. Unfortunately I had a bad cold and had to return home early. But my daughter and family stayed on .
Thank you Pam for making our Christmas special. Roland and Julie.

Veronica Cottage, Tintagel, Cornwall
What a cosy cottage Veronica Cottage was! We stayed for a week from 5th to 10th December so ready for winter weather and on arrival the cottage was lovely and warm with some provisions provided by our host Pam for us to relax and wind down with after a long drive from the North West. The cottage was well furnished, very clean and very comfortable. We were three minutes from the village centre with several cosy pubs to eat and relax in, and 10 minutes to the numerous cliff walks with our two dogs, who both loved it as well as we did !

Great property with a fab location
We had a lovely short stay in Veronica Cottage. The cottage is family friendly - we travelled with our 10 year old son and his friend. The property was very clean and in good condition and made very homely with furnishings and equipment. The property overlooks a field and was very quiet. It was a few minutes walk to the village centre and about 10 minutes to the ticket office for Tintagel Castle. We all had a lovely time at the castle and the cove - fantastic views. The King Arthur pub was great - we ate there a couple of times - very generous portions - the staff were all very friendly. We also enjoyed a day at St Michael's Mount - about 1.5hrs in the car. We would highly recommend the cottage to other holidaymakers. Thank you Pam for a lovely stay. Mr Ginger (the cat) also came to visit us!

The perfect cottage!
Veronica Cottage was absolutely charming and modern. Close to town yet not so close that you were in the middle of the hustle and bustle. A 10 minute stroll and your in town center.
The cottage is clean and well- maintained. The only disappointment was there was not a tumble dryer as advertised. There is a launderette in town so we were able to dry the clothes there, but we were not counting on spending time doing this.
Pam, the owner, made sure we had everything we needed and was knowledgeable on things to do and see.
All in all, I would give this a very high rating and would stay here again.

As always our stay at Veronica cottage was fantastic. Pam (the beautiful owner) makes sure you have everything you could possibly need. The cottage is like home from home, we never want to leave. We had a fun filled holiday as there is so much to do - but we are just as happy to sit on the beautiful garden and watch the world go by. We are already planning our next trip back to this perfect cottage. We would highly recommend this cottage, suitable for families, couples of all ages too !! Don't miss out - book your holiday at Veronica cottage and enjoy it as much as we do

Absolutely charming and cozy cottage on the edge of Tintagel, a great jumping off point to visit the various other delightful villages along the northern Cornwall Coast.
An easy 10 minute walk from the cottage into the center of Tintagel. The cottage interior is very pleasant, comfortable and well appointed. The exterior gardens and lawn are very well managed. We met the owner/manager on the day before our departure and had a wonderful friendly conversation. Veronica Cottage is a treasure and we highly recommend it as a "home base" in your travels around Cornwall.

What a charming place this is and so convenient for the village of Tintagel and the coastal walks.
It is really clean and well maintained and well equipped for those occasions when you eat in after a day out. Pam the owner gave us some good recommendations of where to eat and where to get the best Cornish Pasty.
We walked from the cottage to the church and along the coastal path to Arthur's Castle and had a great coffee in the English Heritage cafe overlooking the sea.
Tintagel has a great Fish and Chip shop and the food at The Cornishman is worth trying.
We also went to the Port William (a short car drive) for dinner which has excellent views over the bay.
St Nectan's Glen is worth a visit even on a blustery day. It is a sheltered walk that ends at a delightful waterfall and there is a place to get a coffee or a light bite (outside seating only though)
We ventured to St Issac, Padstow, Boscastle, walked part of the Camel Trail and ventured a bit further afield to the Eden Project and St Ives.
We would certainly recommend Veronica Cottage and we intend to go back again.
