Victor at the front desk- so helpful and kind- he was really the star of the place.
The hotel was super lively- with lots of events, shows and an all day DJ at the pool side, it was like an all day long party for everyone to join in.
Amazing sea food restaurant with a very kind hostess.
Lovely bar with very reasonable drinks!
Nice pools- quite a few of them- the hotel grounds were spacious enough to walk around in.
We came from Kizimkazi where we were staying at the Residence, so the vibe was very very different!
The baby cot we received was broken- we had to call someone to have it fixed.
The rooms felt very old and outdated and the toilet area was really small and almost non existent. Although the facilities and everything else outside was good the rooms were by no means 5 star standards.

We liked Kiwengwa Beach Resort as it is a lovely place to stay. The beach is nice - clean and guarded. Best, softest sand in the whole world! The food is delicious and varied. There is an Italian restaurant (except the main one) which works all the time, so if you are hungry - no problem!
All the staff are friendly. Special thanks to Angela who was extremely helpful and always ready to assist us!
I forgot to mention that there is a clinic in the resort - MedExpress Clinic and Dr. Ludovic is a wonderful professional!
The low tide is so big that most of the time the ocean is below your knees. If you fancy a walk on the beach (or you wish to reach the ocean) outside the guarded area of the hotel, then a lot of vendors surround you and start offering you everything possible.

It is located just on the beach, the beach was lovely, the staff were exceptional. Made us feel like home, very understanding and accommodating of our requests. The resort is kept in great condition, multiple restaurants and pools.

The staff was amazing and very kind, especially Mr. Said at the reception and Theresia at the restaurant. They invited us to the fish restaurant for dinner twice and it was very kind. Clean room and facilities such as the two swimming pools. Nice hall and common areas, beautiful gardens as well. Very friendly pool attendants and waiters.
Some things should be improved.
There're no sunshades around the two swimming pools, and the same is on the beach, with just 30/40 umbrellas in total while there're hundreds of guests. The restaurant side overlooking the beach was under restoration with workers from the morning until evening. Also a room at the ground floor was under renovation and it was not pleasant to hear hammers for 3 days. Bathroom is definitely too small and has no air recycling. Food was good but not what you can expect from a 4/5* resort.

The location and faculties were the highlight! They were excellent! (Except for three of the four rental bicycles not working).
Service is where it needs a lot of improvement. Staff takes too much time for basic requests such as clean towel at the pools, room service etc. And the staff needs to be empowered with trainings, as well as better delegation and leadership skills. Majority of the staff was friendly but not effective.

Resort fantastico immerso nel verde, molto pulito e curato. Camera ampia e confortevole, staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile.

Kiwengwa beach resort has exceptional staff . We came hoping to spend just one night at the resort but we ended up stretching the stay to 4days . We were hosted like royals . The food ,the rooms- especially the family rooms we used to,the view - ooh my exceptional, and finally the stuff - ever smiling, helpful and very kind . Our employees from most of our branches will have to come for this experience or maybe we will have representatives and probably we will arrange for a short seminar with your consent on public relations and customer care
Exquisite is the word. What’s there not to like ?

Great location
Great facilities
Well laid out
Staff friendly and helpful
The soft drinks and hard drinks are all watered down dramatically to the point that you can’t taste anything.
Touting by staff for services is relentless. There isn’t a moment where you are left in peace to enjoy. You don’t get tranquility as a trade off to enjoy the hustle bustle of the facilities.
The prices of everything is really ridiculously marked up relative to the lesser quantities and quality you receive.

Food was great & staff r lovely. Beach is nice but too much Masai bothering u. Pool is nice
The rooms are not that well. TV was not working. Electricity cuts all the time making AC not working. Construction on site causing too much noise

The place was clean, beautiful, away from town which was perfect for me , needed some quietness for my vacation to cleary hear after long year of work and Kiwemgwa served that.
Uum i can say the food, they need to make some african/Tanzanians dishes as well especially when you know you are hosting one in your Resort , apart from that nothing else the place was great and the beatch wooooow ,just woooow

This property is the best place to have a special getaway from home. The property has everything you need for all inclusive vacation at Zanzibar: the facilities are top-notch, excellent and caring workforce; Angela was very supportive and professional, Victor so wonderful, Zibbron and Mussa make the restaurant so comfortable, and always ready to support. The food was so delicious, WiFi speed very good.

Top Notch customer service. Victor and the other front office lady, together with the rest of the staff, made the experience great. I am from Kenya where some facilities with alot of White tourists treat blacks badly, but this facility did very well to make us comfortable. We loved it!
While the outdoor is Serene, there is a room to improve on their rooms, mainly around the showers which are oldish!

The staff are the asset of this place. Our warm welcome and the excellent customer care. The front office manager Victor, was the most outstanding. He knows what customer service entails and that is exactly how he delivers it.
You will never have a concern that he never handles. We could see most guests call him by name and he calls back meaning he knows his guests.
The same to us and all the family members. What a nice feeling !
The food is great and a lot of varieties.
Excellent customer care and the atmosphere

The hotel was on the beach and stunning. Very tropical style. Despite probably being nearly full, it didn’t seem crowded at all due to the large spaces and facilities. Other than the setting, the highlight was that the staff were all delightful. Food was delicious. Room’s great
The road up to it for the last few hundred metres then the front gate were appalling. Then paradise inside

Wonderful location at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Staff is very helpful and professional. Victor managed the rooms perfectly and the restaurant manager and staff were also very nice. Accommodation is at high standards and with nice African characteristics.
There is nothing to dislike If you like Africa.

everything but below
the superior juccuzi room was a let down. Definatly recommend updating jacuzzis, rather than baths. And mine was all rusty and scruffy

Good location right on the beach. Spacious rooms. 2 pools and nice facilities. Sunbeds available on the beach.
Rooms a little dated. Bathroom not entirely closed off from the room - the separating wall does not go up to the ceiling.
Other than hotel, not many other restaurants/bars within walking distance.

Full island resort experience. The entire design of the resort to the feeling it gives with the people made us feel like we are truly on holiday on a far away island. This resort is superb! WiFi is great, pools are immaculate and plentiful. The beach is wide and you can walk for miles on the white sand and turquoise water. Even the simple things like the quality of the towels was what one would expect from a 5 star establishment. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. We received plenty of free drinking water everyday. The landscaping was something out of a movie.
Things we didn't like was completely outweighed by overall experience which was superb!

The hotel was great. We arrived for 4 days with 2 kids age 2 and 4...

The stay was Amazing! The people are great. All stuff were super helping and kind. Mr. Victor, the front office manager was great. He was so helpful with everything we needed (even when it wasn't connected to the hotel).
The location is very good, on an amazing beach. You can meet the Massai people on the beach from time to time, and they are very friendly and helpful. I totally recommend staying on this hotel. We will definitely come back and stay on the same hotel!
We liked everything!!!

It’s a comprehensive resort with everything that you’d need. Wide range of room options.. our Sea facing private suite was truly awesome. Great variety of food for all the meals.. What stood out was the wonderful staff at the resort who were always around to help with anything you need! Special mention to Angela and Zabron whose many sweet gestures really made our stay special.. Definitely going back again!!!
Everything was perfect but May be putting a wardrobe in the rooms would help.

The whole experience made better by the staff who have all that it takes to make your experience a memorable and amazing.
The service is great, the food is amazing and the staff will do all it takes for an experience of a life time. Varied buffets, local cuisine and oriental every week.
Fantastic hotel and service minded staff. Restaurants with different menus and good service. Location is beautiful with nice beach and atmosphere is relaxing something one needs on a holiday.
The family room was very good and comfortable for the family and the children at large. We could not say enough of this place but for sure we highly recommend the place.
Special mention to front office manager Victor who goes out of his way in ensuring that all his guests are comfortable during their stay. Very calm and attentive person with every guest in the hotel.
