We loved every moment of our stay in this paradise overlooking thĂŠ Mediterranean. It had everything we needed. The rooms were large the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well set up for us preparing meals for 18 people. There were so many activities and our family went hiking, boating and golfing. Some of the family took day trips to see Aeville, Cordoba and Granada. The beach is a little further than we thought, but quite manageable.
There were a few minor items that were quickly sorted out by efficient Selene. It was hard to leave this perfect vacation home.
Highly recommended.

The villa is nice for families have everything needed to have nice time but there is a few things that need fixing both for safety reasons and cleaning for example the pool was not clean when we arrived but they came on the third day for that.
The gate to the house was not opening like it should and we had problem with it from day3
The most serious problem is that the gate to the pool area which is made of solid steel and very heavy was broken and fell down into and landed on an 2 years old so we had to take her to hospital for doctors attending đ thankfully she didnât have serious injuries, but she was very lucky that it landed on her feet not her head.
Other things that the over have to take care specially if he is renting this property out as a Luxury property, is broken tv, broken air conditioning and the cleaning.
I booked this property because a friend recommended it but they stayed here 2-3 years ago. I can only say that it has not meet my expectations and I can not recommend it to others. I will however say that the host Selene was helpful and kind.

Fantastic villa - worked really well for our large family holiday of a life time. Highly recommended. The Owner and Selene were really helpful.

This house was perfect for our family of 17 people, age 3-62. Great facilities for cooking and eating outside. We made full use of the barbeque/outside grill every evening. All bedrooms were good size with very comfortable beds. Everybody enjoyed the swimming pool, plenty of sunbeds, the pool area could be closed which made it safe concerning the children. The trampoline outside was the children´s favorite.
The neighbourhood was nice and we felt very safe. Beach was within walking distance (10 min.) Communication with the staff was excellent, especially Selene, she could not have been more helpful. We couldn´t have had a better holiday and we strongly recommend this property!

The eleven of us throughly enjoyed our one week stay

Overall we had an amazing time at the villa, the villa itself is outstanding with plenty of room for our party (12 adults and 1 2 yr old) to socialise together or find some "alone"space. Selene our meet and greeter was amazing and did her upmost to cater for our needs, including a shop before we got there. The company also did their best to accommodate us prior to arrival, with postponements of payments and changes of dates due to COVID.
The villa is up a hill but the beach and nearest shops.restaurants and bars are only a short 10 minute walk away.
The only disappointment was the outside area of the villa, we feel this is need of some TLC and repair, maybe due to not having guests for so long due to COVID, but it really was not prepared for our arrival and does not reflect the rest of the house. The pool and hot tub were dirty, this was rectified but on day 5 of our holiday and much of the outdoor furniture is in disrepair or had missing canopies for shade. The BBQ was not working but was resolved on day 2. The garden plants need some cutting back and tidying up as it was difficult to get up to the terrace area. This was all reported during our stay.
However this did not spoil our overall experience and we had an amazing time. We would rebook again for a big family holiday as long as these few issues are addressed.

Stayed for a week here with a group of 15 family and friends weather was amazing and lots to do at the villa . Great outside bar and barbecue lots of sun beds round pool . Something for all ages Fab bedrooms comfy beds and lots of indoor space , loved the medieval style of decor very castle like . Near lots of lovely restaurants and the boardwalk to La Cala . Couple little issues with showers but owner responded quickly to sort out . Bit of a problem with check in , we did not get in the villa on time due to still being cleaned .

The villa is a true castle: beautifully decorated inside as well as outside the building, well equipped kitchens, gorgeous (sleeping) rooms and bathrooms, spacious outdoors with more than enough (shaded) seating areas, bbq and outdoor refrigerator, wonderful swimming pool and jacuzzi and playing area for children. The villa is closely located to the beach and several (grocery) stores are in walking distance.
We did not have a rental car and used public transport which worked very well; the bus stop is a 10 minutes walk from the villa. We visited Mijas Pueblo, Malaga, Marbella, Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas. The beach opposite the villa is nice and not crowded with great restaurants with delicious food.
Would highly recommend this castle if you are looking for a place to stay for a big group of people!

A family holiday to celebrate a special birthday in a magical Mediterranean Castle - what more could we have asked for!
Couldn't fault the communication before, during and after our stay, special thanks to Selene and Elle. The dancers arranged for our paella evening made for a true party atmosphere. The BBQ arranged for our last night was a more laid back affair but still as enjoyable. The amenities inside and out meant we didn't need to go far, with the pool the most used area during our stay. It was lovely that the beach was within easy walking distance. We did have one hire car between us which made trips to the shops easier however there are well stocked shops within walking distance so it wasn't a necessity.
Would definitely recommend for any large family gathering and would love to return in the future.

Great for groups and well kept and tidy.
Really nice communal areas and outside space - great for kids too.
Just note two of the bedrooms are not en-suite but share one bathroom.
All in all highly recommend !

Wonderful location to access amenities and the beach. Only issue for us was that many places were closed as we went in March. There was enough open and weather was great.
The house itself was perfect for us. Two kitchens, good lounge, great outside areas and good pool that was heated, together with a jacuzzi. Love the bbq area as well. Beds comfortable. Dining chairs had seen better days, but hey, who wants to sit inside? Very spacious and good value for money. Clean. Could do with a serious paint job!

We stayed as a family group of 14 people, mainly adults. The nine large air conditioned bedrooms, seven en-suite bathrooms, two well fitted kitchens and several lounges were first class. Apart from sleeping though, most of our time was spent outside in or around the swimming pool/Jacuzzi or under the spacious shaded dining areas. Lots of other facilities on site and in the local area. The whole family had a great time and enjoyed the holiday immensely.

Loved the property, so much space, plenty to keep the children entertained and the adults too!
Swimming pool and jacuzzi great, lovely gardens to enjoy.
A very secure property.
The only criticism I would make is that there was not any information as there usually is in other villas I have stayed in is to know where the nearest medical centre is and the nearest supermarket, hospitals etc.,

Everything we hoped for, the Castle was exactly how it looked in the photographs - and more. Spotlessly clean and welcoming, with absolutely everything we needed. We cannot thank Selene and Elliot for all their help throughout the stay, and also Renny. Lovely welcome pack when we arrived Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying there again. FANTASTIC holiday was had by all. We will be coming back.

I took my family, 15 of us , to Casa El Castillo for two weeks in July.Everyone connected with Home and Away was immensely helpful. The welcome pack when we all arrived hungry after a long journey was, well, welcome. However, I don't want to recommend this property because I don't want anyone booking the same weeks we shall most likely want next year. You must draw your own conclusions.Michael HeathSheffield

This is the perfect villa for larger groups and/or families. Our plane was massively delayed and did not arrive until after midnight, but a representative from the agency was waiting for us and gave us a guided tour. She had even done a massive shop of all the essentials. She also came back the following morning to make sure everything was ok. The villa itself we cannot praise enough - it is such an amazing place, well worth every penny. We were a group of 15 adults celebrating our joint 40th this year, and this was the perfect place for us - some were hanging in the bar, some paying basket ball and tabletennis while the rest were enjoying the fabulous pool area. The villa is very close to the beach and numerous bars/restaurants, but some of us only left the villa a couple of times in a week! We hired a privet chef a couple of nights, that was reccommended by the agency, and that was just perfect - he cooked up a storm both nights! All in all, this has been an unforgettable experience - and we have all decided, if the villa is still on the rental market, that we are coming back for our 50th!!
