10 mins away from airport, great location for Local amenities. Comfortable rooms. Really nice staff and had a great bar/restaurant area. Very quiet.
Nothing

Central. Very helpful staff. Nice meal.
I know there is refurbishment work under way which is improving the hotel well. The corridors will benefit from a spruce up when they get to them.
A gluten-free menu would be really helpful.
3.7
the location
the rooms are cold and falling apart. damp in the corridors and in desperate need of renovation
3.7
Breakfast was excellent
Heating in the room was poor , freezing cold at night and the quilts were wafer thin
3.7
Location is great
On going building works .. but undergoing improvements so can not complain

The staff we encountered were very friendly. The reception area and the bar/breakfast areas were clean and well appointed. The breakfast was very nice.
Everything badly needs to improve as soon as you leave the reception area. The corridors are shabby, smelly and not at all pleasant. The room was, to put it mildly, grim. Bed and bedding both very poor quality. Windows blown, curtains shabby and ill fitting. There was nothing positive to say about the room experience.

Location was very good - just metres away from the sea and I'm sure any unobstructed views from the windows at the front of the hotel overlooking the bay must be fabulous. Staff were great, breakfast was very good and the meal we ate at the hotel was really nice too.
The hotel is undergoing major renovations with lots of scaffolding covering the front and side of the building. When I queried why this wasn't mentioned on the booking platform as it is obviously a very long term project, I was told that it was to be amended - it hasn't been, I've checked. Bit of a shock as soon as you walk out of the very smart reception area and enter the hotel corridors - dingy, musty, old fashioned, frayed carpets etc.
Bit of a maze to reach our room (153 steps - 44 of them stairs lol but it does say no lift) which was quite small, very dated but very clean. Window wouldn't open more than about 10cm which was no good in a heatwave as the room was stifling! But problem was solved and a meal voucher offered as way of recompense.
Restaurant wasn't open the night we arrived due to staff shortages but the chip shop was excellent.
I'm sure it will be wonderful once it is all finished and I commend all the staff who are working so well through all the upheaval.

staff very friendly. downstairs of hotel ie the pub and reception was lovely and had obviously been refurbed. location was brilliant with everything on hand. bathroom was very clean and well presented, shower pressure was good.
rooms very disappointing decor and condition. Room was clean and tidy but very dated and mattress wasn't the most comfortable, curtains in room 20 looked and felt like they would fall down at any minute. i hope the renovation work downstairs extends to upstairs as this would be a great hotel with great facilities

Very modern, clean well equipped.

Fantastic location right by the beach in Port Erin. We've stayed before and were impressed with the renovations the owner has made to the ground floor areas - feels like a modern gastro pub now. Excited to see the final product once upstairs is also renovated. Buffet breakfast was excellent. They are dog friendly which was good as our friends had a dog. Rooms are small and a little dated but adequate. They have a private parking lot which is appreciated, even if it's tight parking!
No complaints really, like I said rooms are basic and a little dated but they had everything we needed. If you have accessibility requirements be aware that they don't currently have a lift and all rooms require access via stairs.

Breakfast was excellent and so was the location
3.7
Breakfast was included and great choice and quality

Breakfasts quite good. Staff very nice.
No lift and we were on third floor and I have a knee problem. Agony! Decorators were in because of a wedding and we had to take long detours to our room. My knee was wrecked.
3.7
Good food, clean rooms great staff
Noisy guests at 3 in the morning

The location is great and the breakfast was fantastic., and the staff helpful and friendly. I enjoyed seeing that the hotel had been remodeled/refurbished since my last stay there. The new carpeting and reception area was lovely.
The room I was in was noisy. One nite wedding party just beneath me, and another nite someone working and moving tables at 2 and 3am. It was disappointing after paying 135 pounds a nite for a dog friendly room.
3.7
Management and all staff very friendly and helpful.
The purpose of our visit was to attend the funeral of a close relative and having initially chosen the wrong type of room we appreciated being able to move to a different room with a view over the bay. It was a welcome distraction.
A bit surprised and disappointed on Tuesday evening, 25th July to find that the kitchen was closed and there was no food available. No prior information that this would be the case. We were due to check out the following morning before breakfast, so some evening food would have been helpful!
The hotel shows its age in places, (sloping floors, cracked bathroom tiling and basin)
The absence of a lift made it difficult for a couple of my fellow travellers.

Lovely clean modern apartment
Small double bed and no one on reception

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Also, the food, both in the evening and at breakfast were excellent. I picked this hotel at random and was very pleased with the location
There was nothing I didn't like, the rooms were a little 'tired', but I understand that there is a lot of renovation in process. We were prepared for the scaffolding and work going on and would love to come back when complete.

We had to find someone to help us check in and when we asked at bar, we have been told, we are not her responsibility to help us
It's an old hotel

Breakfast was ok for a buffet style breakfast, staff were ok.
The bedrooms are very dated with a tv from the 90s
3.7
Room in need of major refurbishment. Overall the hotel did not live up to the expectation. Their website gives a misleading expectation
3.7
Lovely sea view. Comfortable clean room. Helpful staff.
Food wasn't great
3.7
Hotel undergoing extensive renovations by new current owner. Rooms a little dated but spotlessly clean, with change of bedding mid week, and clean towels when needed. Breakfast selection good as was the hotel evening dinner menu, reasonably priced. Toiletries provided together with plenty of tea and coffee. Free car park. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff, often going above and beyond, very friendly and attentive.
Squeaky floorboards in room 12 but may be addressed during renovations. No lift, could be a problem for some people, but not for us. Windows, not sure if double glazing had ‘blown’ or windows just needed a good clean outside.
3.7
Location was excellent
Breakfast was fair. Only fruit was canned peaches, every day
Hotel is being refurbished - it needs it!
Restaurant busy and noisy - booking essential.
Food is good and generous but menu repetitive
The plumbing!

Lovely traditional hotel. Superb location. Strong links to the community. Proper breakfast. Excellent staff. I always stay here when I visit the island.
It is being refurbished, which came as a surprise. This didnt affect my stay as such but the beautiful dining room that overlooks the bay wasnt in use. A quibble rather than a dislike!
3.7
The falcons nest apartments are very nice, clean and comfortable. Close to the beach, shops and pubs. Food in the hotel was lovely.

very good location
could do with a lick of paint

Location. Nice location on the front with some sea views. Hotel Restaurant was not open Sunday evening, but the staff were very helpful and gave us some good recommendations.
We were first given a room above the Bar - which had live music and was very noisy. When asked if we could move rooms the staff did very well and found us a better quieter room. Once we have moved rooms the stay was pleasant. The Hotel was not what we expected as the hotel is currently being refurbished and the pictures online don't really show what the place is like, so I was expecting it to be nicer than it was. Once the makeover is complete, I think it will be a very nice place.
3.7
good position and excellent breakfasts.
still work in progress with renovations
