The owner (Dutch guy) is very friendly and nice, he’s super organized and equipped the guesthouse with everything you would need. The food (both breakfast and dinner) was really delicious. The guesthouse is really nice and cozy, I stayed here on a very windy rainy night so couldn’t do any activities but enjoyed the place in the tent. Thanks for the experience
Staying in a tent on a windy and rainy night was a bit uncomfortable I felt like I’d fly out as the noise was annoying but it was my choice to stay in a tent as there were cottages also in the house. The house is in a walking distance or short drive from the beach not directly on the beach.

A little bit of heaven - so peaceful and relaxing. So well looked after - a lot of care and thought have gone in to the running of this “lodge”. Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice. Dinner was also delicious. The staff were GREAT.

Sean is a very nice guy. The lodge have all facilities, with an in-house restaurant which provides really good food and a fully staffed bar.
Tents are large and confortable. Shared bathroom is clean. The location is great. It definitely worth the price!

Breakfast was served in the communal dining / gathering area. There was a good choice of breakfast options in the morning including the usual English brekkie, omelets, muesli and yoghurt and pancakes.
The shower was small and this resulted in water spilling out onto the bathroom floor. More shelf space needed in the bathroom.

Everything was amazing but it Would have been nice to have access to kitchen facilities or a braai area so that we could cook some fresh fish or seafood.

We loved everything about Devocean. Where do we start? The host Sean and his son were so hospitable, in fact my boys and his son must be friends for life now. The staff were incredibly kind. The food was delicious, breakfast had a varierty of choices all lovingly cooked, we had dinner there every night too and all freshly made. The rooms are spotless and the garden is lush and green. I even spent my birthday there and the chef made me a delicious chocolate mousse. I can keep going but I want to thank Sean for making this a memorable holiday for all of us and I will miss our talks. We will be back for sure!

Sean was very helpful in explaining how to reach the accommodation from the border and gave good insight on the quality of the roads. The 'jungle' garden was beautifully maintained, and it was nice to have the room serviced every day. The bed was comfortable, and the cottage has a good-sized bathroom. The breakfast was nice, and the honesty bar was well stocked. The close quarters and shared lapa made it a good spot to meet like-minded travellers. Staff were very friendly.
We didn't enjoy the dinner menu - the meals need a lot of improvement and were overpriced for the quality. A matt outside the room would be helpful to wipe sand from feet. The water from the shower in the cottage flooded the bathroom. Not clearly advertised as a non-smoking venue.

location is close from center of town, nice atmosphere surrounded by plants, the tent was cosy with hot shower and other amenities, the host, Sean, and the rest of the staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Due to the environment, there were many mosquitoes around, which also got into our tent.

Bathroom is clean with a nice shower (we chose a private bathroom). Staff are friendly. Breakfast is adequate. Beautiful garden.
Booking dot com pictures are misleading. These pics are not of these beaches as there are no palm trees... Whilst the beaches are nevertheless beautiful, the accomodation is disappointing. Bed sheets were filled with sand before we even went to the beach. No mosquito net. Bed is uncomfortable. Wires are on the floor and quite a trippping hazard for a toddler.

The location was great, breakfast was amazing and they let me get it early so I could go diving, and the grounds are green so you don't feel like you are in town.

Owner Sean very friendly and helpfull, great staff, great breakfasts. Generally had a great time, being close to the beach has its benefits but hence it was expectantly noisy with all celebrations around new year's day.. thanks Sean
A little maintenance happening but thats all for the good.
Slight smell with possible blocked drain on our last day...not really anything serious.
