The staff here are really outstanding. The breakfast is good. Pet friendly

Very friendly staff. Room was as described on the website. Room 212 had some street noise, mostly from trucks and fast and furious type cars. Not much you can do about that.
Complimentary breakfast was wonderful and filling for a hike and a drive back to the bay area. Coffee was very good at the breakfast.
We may try their sister property across the street (which is where the Sonora Inn's free parking is located) by the name of Hotel Lumberjack for less street noise and the same staff and breakfast as Sonora Inn.

Nice and quiet. Comfort.

Booked my stay with Hotels.com. When I arrived the hotel said I didn’t have a reservation. I had a confirmation number but hotel never got my reservation. But Hotel.com had already taken my money. Called Hotel.com and they told I didn’t have a reservation. Thanks to Sonora Inn for trying to help. I did get a room but had to pay Sonora Inn plus the money I paid Hotel.com.

Property was nice but the town opens at 0900-1000hrs and closes at 1700-2100hrs

Unique and historic. Great location.

The fact the property has a long and unique history is great but bathroom requires a mojor renovation and ac unit is very loud.
6.0
The staff is really nice and we love they are pet friendly. However for the price you pay they must update their rooms and the AC in our room kept on turning off and on all night with ever getting to the desired temperature. The water pressure also is poorly when you are showering you can’t use the bathroom sink. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be booking again with them.

Check in was so so - we were not told where to park or given a parking pass or any information about the property, or given any info on the pool or breakfast. We had to figure all this on our own.
The bathroom floor was not cleaned properly and the shower was very very moldy.

My family had a great time. Staff was amazing

The room was adequate and clean. The only thing that could have been better which is to update the bathroom. The BR sink was old and had not cabinet or table space to put stuff

Our two-night stay at Sonora Inn was fantastic. The easy parking and excellent customer service made our visit stress-free. The inn’s location is perfect for exploring local dining options and historical sites, offering plenty to do for everyone. Our room was spacious and comfortable for my wife, our 12-year-old daughter, and me. The room was clean and quiet, and the pool provided a refreshing break from the heat. Breakfast was delicious, with ample seating for all guests. We will definitely be staying here again.

Hotel was nice, older hotel but charming. Room was clean except there was black hair all over the bathroom floor and towels.. yuck! Pool area was ok with very limited seating that was already taken by the one family that was there before us , more important: there was absolutely no shade/umbrellas out there whatsoever. Breakfast was satisfactory.

The gal at the front was so extra helpful and we checked in late so she offered to get us a snack if we were hungry. Room is clean and quiet.

Old hotel. No where to put your cosmetics in the bathroom, no reading lights or outlets by the bed. Low shower pressure. Check in was pleasant as was checkout. Would not stay here again.

Very historic and centrally located in the historic area of Sonora. Clean and comfortable room with air conditioning. Great food & drinks near by (The Armory). We enjoyed our stay.

Great place! Clean, staff was super helpful with my very late check in. Felt very safe by myself with my service dog.

Cute, older hotel but very clean and the beds are really comfortable. Perfectly located in downtown Sonora where everything is in walking distance. They offer a decent continental breakfast as well. Would recommend.

Our room was comfortable and clean but it was super noisy the traffic on the street was horrible. Not much sleep due to this.

Friendly and helpful staff - the door keys failed but she quickly got a working room key.

The hotel has maintained it early century appeal. The room was small but adequate for the three of us as my daughter was traveling with us. The staff were very accommodating.

Our stay at Sonora Inn was amazing, safe and welcoming. The staff of this hotel is so kind and helpful that they would really bother for their customer. Alexandria, who was there at front desk, made sure about our smooth check-in and generously responded to all of my questions. This supportive gesture was really appreciable. Apart from her as well, the two guys at front desk (during breakfast time) were supportive. Rooms are really big with all facilities you expect as a guest and even if something is missing, then staff would make sure to resolve or answer your questions properly. Property looks good and well maintained.

The staff was very friendly and the room was as clean as one could ask for an old hotel.

Black mold in the shower, chipped sink, holes in the tile. The place smells musty and the bed was hard.
8.0
The hotel is 80 years old, so it's dated, and needs a number of updates & renovations, BUT ... this is Motherload country, & there are many hotels that are 4-star. The location is fantastic, & there are enough stores, restaurants, gas stations in Sonora to take care of all your needs. You can't beat the price for the location. We'd recommend the place, keeping in mind that there are tight quarters in the room & you'd best be prepared to get breakfast down the street. The staff was always present & helpful. Need anything, then just ask them!

Arrived at 2pm sat. Room wasn’t ready. At 3:30 given room 308 told wrong room given key to room 306 guests already in 306. Ver embarrassing when I walked in on them. My bathroom had mold all around tub looked disgusting. I really wanted a bath but I wouldn’t even shower in it. $160. Was extremely high priced for such a shoddy room.

Room with queen bed extremely small. Bathroom very old and very small. No closet to hang clothes or get an extra blanket. Room cold, no wY to control temperature. Noise from busy street outside.

Great location, clean.

Traffic noice is pretty bad. Elevator was out of service. Lightning in the room was poor. The window shade is too light.
Bed was comfortable.
