Good location. Mattress was uncomfortable and overused . Room was tiny. Warm water for the first 15minutes rusty, then okay.
Clear check-in instructions. For a short stay okay, if you just need a place to sleep.

This hotel is set up as a no-receptionist, all-electronic access property. The problem I encountered were several: the first email I received with my room and access code provided an access code but no room number. I assumed the updated email would arrive while I was in transit but it did not. By the time I arrived, I had to call the phone # provided to request my room number - but the call went straight to voicemail. I was called back within a few minutes, but this was not a seamless experience. The lobby area (small) led to a hallway with my room - which a maintenance person showed me. The room - small but workable for NY given the reasonable price ($250) was 92 degrees (yes, ninety two). I turned the AC on, went elsewhere for a 2-hr dinner, returned and the room as still 92 degrees. I texted the contact number and was told someone would be there in 10 minutes to fix things. A different maintenance person arrived and told me "the building is old so there is only Heat (winter) and AC (summer) so you need to turn it off and open the window." So I slept in a ground floor room with the window cracked (not ideal or completely safe). The bed was comfortable, the room was workable although the shower head was lousy (full pressure but uneven stream). I will not be staying here again - too much stress and attention to accommodations.

No staff for check-in. Have to scan card & ID online. Dirty old room and furniture. Shower wouldn't drain & water temps kept changing from scalding hot to cold. Rock hard bed with huge ruts in the old mattress. Won't stay here again. Not worth 1/3 of the price I paid.

Clear instructions for mobile check-in and building access, clean room and great location. It was, however, the slimmest, hardest and least comfortable mattress I've ever paid $200/night for. Update the beds to something better than an RV mattress and this place will get 5*.

Noice inside and outside the hotel kept me up all night and the room was hot despite turning the ac down.

The walls are very thin and you are at risk of being booked in a room attached to the lobby. Within the coffee machine was a used filter from a previous guest.
No shampoo or conditioner available just a 3 in one.

Nice place , big room for new York. Microwave and refrigerator. Coffee in lounge. Staff was very friendly. Would stay there again. Lots to do and near bus stop

The mattress needs to be replaced. not comfortable. That is my only complaint with my stay

The hotel has a beautiful rooftop. It’s the most fully automated check-in hotel I’ve experienced—you’re required to register online before arrival to receive your entry code and stay details. While they do have front desk staff, they don’t seem to handle check-ins directly. If you arrive late without registering online, you may run into some issues since the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7.
The rooms are small but come with a fridge and microwave, facing a view of the East Village. The TV isn’t able to stream, so it’s more of a classic “movie night” experience with limited options. However, the real highlight is the rooftop, where you can get a distant view of the Empire State Building. The flooring is made of old wooden planks—somewhat decayed, creaky underfoot, and adding a unique charm. That said, be cautious with kids; my child was playing with a toy car on the floor and accidentally got scratched by an exposed nail from the old wood, leaving a mark that lasted about a week.
The first floor has 24-hour K-cup coffee available, and the hotel is close to iconic spots like Katz’s Deli and Russ & Daughters. But what I enjoyed the most was the rooftop—it adds a lot of value to the overall experience, making this a very cost-effective hotel choice.

Location was great, AC was nice and cold, shower was hot and roomy for Manhattan. No hand soap stocked, limited staffing, and the room had ants.

The WiFi didn’t in my room.
HD to use the same towel for 6 nights.

This is my third stay at Travelodge by Wyndham. Friendly and professional staff, free shuttle to and from the airport and scrupulously clean.
Close by dining options and nice and quiet.
I’ll definitely be back.

I came here to visit my daughter; I loved this hotel. It was reasonable and so many great places around me to eat and walk to. I felt very safe. It is a walk to Times Square and Rockefeller but I used transportation so that was so easy. I will use this location again.

We booked this hotel for the Three’s Company room. It was reasonably priced for the lower east side. The room was so tiny, though. Definitely not comfortable for 3 grown women. It did the job to have a place to crash for the night, but it was so difficult to get ready with a sliver of walking space between the bunk bed and the wall. One positive about the hotel was that there was a community lounge area in the basement with water dispenser, refrigerator, couches, and TV. The rooftop access was also a plus—great views. I would recommend if you’re a solo traveler and don’t need much space.

Best thing about it was self check in. I hate no ABHOR waiting to check in.
My only (not hotel’s fault) were the slamming of the doors, loud voices in the hallway and how people can clean up after themselves on the roof top. I personally threw away crap because I appreciate a beautiful view of the city.

I had a great stay at The Ridge Hotel. The staff was friendly and very accomodating.
6.0 / 10.0
The hotel is "semi-service," which means no staff is usually on site. I called to ask if they had bar or liquid soap (they had only body wash), and got a misleading answer many hours later. And when staff were on site, they were unfriendly. There is an extra cost to have the room made up, which is inconvenient for a longer stay. The facility and location are great if you are willing to sacrifice comfort and service.

It was ok. Bed was comfortable

Terrible. There was no mention that this was a dog friendly hotel—I am incredibly allergic to dogs. You get no privacy, you can hear everyone in the hallway. My room was next to the street and the sound proofing was horrible. Please also be aware that housekeeping is an extra $35 up charge per day if you want your room cleaned. The room was in terrible condition as well and barely had any space for me to open my luggage. If I could give this hotel a rating lower than 1, I would do it. Please avoid at all cost

Always nice to stay in that neighborhood close to my son. Whole foods is right nearby and a nice rooftop deck! Great hot water in the shower too!

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The woman who helped us check in went the extra mile to help us and one of the other staff even offered to move his car so that we would have a closer parking spot. That is top notch service in my book! The room was small but clean and comfortable. the rooftop lounge area was great. We would definitely return!

Location is perfect and is very clean.
Small rooms but designed well.
My complaint is the stairwell door is loud AF on 2nd floor. Bring earplugs . Also the bed is was to firm for me.

Small room but perfect for 2. Clean and comfy. Nice rooftop hangout area as well

The property is in disrepair. It used to be a nice hotel but now is just a worn out budget stay. The AC units are residential in window units, the furniture is Ikea and falling apart. The staff is nice when there but most of the time its a staff less facility. I will not be staying there again.

Great location and easy to understand instructions on how to enter the property. Staff were responsive when needed and just a call/text away.

I loved the rooftop!

Great bang for the buck. However we stayed in a two beds room and it was obviously converted from a one bed. The light fixtures on the wall were permanently attached and were sticking out directly on top of the pillows for both beds creating a hazard. I hit my head at least four times and almost broke the light bulb and my head. Same thing happened to the other guest. Thankfully I didn’t get injured, but that’s definitely a lawsuit waiting to happen at some point unless they fix this problem.

pretty much likes everything and would definitely stay there again, the only thing to know is that the room is really small so if you’re an overpacker like me you might struggle a little but besides that it was great!
