The hostel is in a great location, a few minutes walk to the train station and a 20 minutes walk to the Cathedral. We had a quad room which was pretty tight and room could use deep cleaning.

So smelly, the mattress got a hole and so uncomfortable. The room was suffocating. I couldn’t stay 10min. I just abondes the room and booked another hotel

Very good location

12€ for a bed in a 4-bed room is definitely one of the cheapest options you will find in Germany. Staff friendly and accommodating and location just a few steps from Aachen main station. Rest is up to luck of who you have to share your room with. My room was really smelly and the bathroom was quite dirty but I think that was due to the person I had to share my room with rather than the cleanliness of the hostel itself.
3.7
The room was really nice and the reception also, low parkingspots. Cheap parking on a 4 min walk.
3.7
Good value Vs quality ratio. Staff friendly and efficient. Room has all you need.
3.7
Great location, excellent value for money too. Staff were very helpful, rooms are basic but of a good standard and very clean. Hostel is perfect for a weekend trip to Aachen or for business.
3.7
Could not sleep well, lots of noise. Especially friday evening loys of noise outside and also the train very much noise.
Sorry was not able to rest in the night good.
3.7
Slept very badly because of the train station nearby and the open window; if we would close the window it would get too hot. Bedsheets of previous guest were still on the bed, bed number didn't match my card (bed was taken). Room sanitary was good and clean, public sanitary was dirty and a lot wasn't working. Staff is friendly.
3.7
A very poor choice unfortunately. Good I only needed one night in Aachen. Never again here.
3.7
Kamer was goed, alleen de deken was erg klein
3.7
Basic stayover hostel facility near the central station of Aachen. Okay for a quick city visit.
3.7
Good enough!
3.7
Location is perfect if you come/go to the train station. Outside of that the hotel is very basic and charmless. Staff was rude at night, morning staff was nicer.
3.7
Very friendly
3.7
Nice place to stay during long trip
3.7
The room was rather large. The bed is a little too hard. Nice bathroom in good condition. Checkin was fast.
3.7
Not bad really, got my own dorm room to myself

I stayed in a&o Aachen Hauptbahnhof as a stay-over for only one night in Aachen. The hotel is clean, friendly staff and basic but good breakfast (at an additional fee of 7,90 EUR). Literally 200 m from the railway station.
3.7
For staying there for 2 or 3 nights it would be ok. Rooms are acceptable and we are very pleased. Our staying was without breakfast , for this reason I have no comment related to breakfast but in general we like this hotel&hostel in Aachen.

Got an amazing price at last minute and sharing a room with strangers,so can’t really complain.Location was convenient for walking i to town centre but parking nearby expensive and meters until 2100 hrs.
However room was really noisy as no sound proofing so could hear station announcements and I think there were three groups of Schoolchildren staying there.luckily I was leaving early but would have been Impossible to sleep after 0600 when the railway station came to life
Young gentleman acting as Barman/receptionist seemed very put out if people asked fir anything other than a drink -not friendly.

Basic but very nice stay. It's a two minute walk from the main station. Staff very friendly..
3.7
Family room to small
3.7
Very intimidating place to arrive after dark. Alcohol, tatoos and a bar atmosphere at check in made It Awkward for my family. Nice bakery down the street though!
3.7
I was bitten by several bed bugs. Rooms must be cleaner.
3.7
Its very close with main station. Great choice for hostel type
3.7
The location is excellent, just a short walk from Aachen Hbf and a ten minute walk away from the historic
3.7
Standard hostel; a little small. Only qualm I had was I paid extra to stay in an all-female dorm and they kept booking men into our room.
3.7
Good prices, the people there are friendly. Rooms are clean and the lobby is comfy!
There is also a luggage room where I was able to safely leave my things while I toured the city.
3.7
the room was verry verry small, like 3m,with metal beds (imagine that in only 3msquare ) with not any!!! closet where u can put ur clothes or baggage ,and the beds were so small(cca 150/50cm large ) ,made of steel, like jail,i mean it .never again i will book any room in that hotel and i would like my money to be refunded because i didnt even sleep in there .i just saw the room and i leave ..

Had to change room as the first stank of tobacco - despite no smoking policy obviously some selfish egoists don't care less. Anyway another room found - lots of warm radiators made for a very comfortable night. Bar and ATM machine avaialble as well so very handy.
3.7
Chose this hotel just because of its proximity to the station, but turned out to be one of the worst decisions.
Extremely claustrophobic rooms, not very well kept and very poor furnishings and incompetent staff. For 10 buks more you can go for an Ibis or likes, which has much higher standards than this hotel.
Wont even come close to the AO hotels ever!!!

Rooms were clean. It was nice to be have a kitchen available to keep somethings cold in the fridge. Price was great for a quick stop in Aachen. We would stay there again.
3.7
Horrible place, very rude staff, rude and inept and racist manager. The hotel is right besides the Aachen HBF train station, and that means you will hear every single train that enters and exits the station, regardless if your window is open or closed. There is no central air or fan, and this makes for uncomfortable times should the room get hot, your only other option is to open the window, which will expose you to not only the excessive train noises, but the traffic of cars driving by on the very busy street.
Very importantly, this hotel has a club house in its building that hosts several night events each week. During my stay at the A & O hostel/hotel, I was told by the club house staff that certain section of the hotel is not safe for people who are not whites, because they do have skinheads and far-right extremists who come to their clubs, and they can attack any hotel guest that does not fit in with them.
In the kitchen, there is a sign that states on the fridge that cleanup of the fridge and kitchen is done on Mondays, but at the A&O hostel in Aachen, there was no cleanup on Monday or Tuesday, it was a filthy mess with the trash bin overflown with garbage that extended to the floor and with dishes scattered around the kitchen. I then went grocery shopping on Wednesday and purchased 35 euros worth of groceries, cooked them and placed it inside the fridge. By Thursday, I noticed that the kitchen was cleaned up and my food was among the items that was discarded away.

Staff did very good of taking care also room cleaning but the wifi quite bad.
3.7
Fine space reasonable price no more to tell you should be happy I wrote as much as I did.
3.7
It is what it claims to be - a hotel that is part of a hostel. You get what you pay for. Lifts didnt always work. Towels and sheets were stained. But large sized room, and the bathroom was surprisingly new and workable. OK for just a night.
3.7
Clean room, located near the train station, good value for money.
3.7
It was good. Big spacious room and as we booked the family room, bedsheets and towels were all inclusive. Nice and clean.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at an A&O and the first time at this location. We paid hotel price for hostel accommodations. I was disappointed in the reception personnel. They were busy talking amongst themselves and hurriedly put the form in front of me. No greeting. We reserved a double with private bath (shower) including toiletries. There were towels, a hair dryer and soap dispenser (attached to wall) but no toiletries. Not even a shower cap.
The hotel has two elevators so we couldn't understand why we had to wait 15 minutes for one. We were on the fourth level and had several pieces of luggage each so we did not want to use the stairs. Neither elevator was moving so my daughter walked down to the next level to see why it was not moving. The door on the elevator would not close.
At check out I told receptionist about problem. She said she did not know of any problem. That was that.
