Beautiful little zen garden and peaceful space!

The manager was hard to get hold of at times, but overall the stay was pleasant.

Amazing tucked away location. The pictures and description offer no justice to the serenity and beauty of this location. Perfect for a solo traveler or couple. Even with the place at full occupancy, you felt as if you were in your own private oasis.

Great and friendly stuff. Always ready to help us with any of our travel needs. The hotel is awesome, close to downtown San Jose in a quiet part of town.
I strongly recommend this place to all of my friends and fellow travelers.

Although the lady at the reception was lovely and the garden is beautiful, the wifi did not reach our room, the TV didn’t work and the bedding smelt like cat pee.

It seemed far from everything, we had to wear slides in the room to keep our feet clean when we got there, the surrounding area didn't seem to have many nice places to walk to and the city center was quite a ways away

For me personally it was an experience that didn’t work out. There’s limited staff available, and I got the feeling that the guests are on their own. Having a shared bathroom and no AC felt like staying in a hostel but more expensive. The beds were not comfortable and right across the street there’s a business with a big neon light up all night. Last thing, guests could bring anyone inside as while there’s cameras the hotel claims to have around, I don’t think anyone cares.

If you think of this as a rented apartment with housekeeping on request rather a hotel, it is more likely to meet your expectations. The "Garden View" rooms are actually in the garden and insects keep finding their way into the room (dead and alive). The towels and bedsheets are old and need replacement. I received a better set when I requested. The staff are very helpful and try to accommodate requests as much as possible. Would recommend only for shorter stays.

We had our own room but a shared bathroom. The patio area was beautiful and peaceful. The area around the hotel was nice, with a nice park and some good choices for restaurants.

Pleasant, roomy.

I loved the 70s decor but maintenance is a sore issue. Dusty, floors, old towels, old, rusty hinges, fixtures and door handles. It's sad, the owners could do a better job by investing in the property.

garden rooms nicely furnished and self-contained.
staff multi-lingual, very helpful, esp. with tour bookings.
communal kitchen, flow of interesting guests thru "hostel".
near major park, pizza & other food nearby (e.g. AM/PM).
downtown an easy 30 minute walk.
plumbing mexican style, no paper down toilet.
as 81-year old, enjoyed youthful atmosphere, 9 out of 10!

I had a whole apt to myself and felt so safe.

It is quiet but close to the park and stadium. A great variety of food available is walkable and it was very close to a great dentist.

Bath towels very poor condition, shower water backup not draining properly, no AIr Conditioner. Open glass ceiling in bathroom, shower very hot when sun shines.

It was outstanding. I was there for 10 nights for dental work and took a studio apt, I had plenty of privacy and everything I needed to rest and relax. The front desk (in the main hotel) was beyond kind and made sure I had everything I needed. The apartments is in a different building up the street but we kept in contact with What's App and they were aways there for me. They made sure I had anything that I needed. It is located near a stadium and pleasant park and 0.3mi from my dentist.

We only stayed here for one night, the night we flew into San Jose. It was close to the airport and was inexpensive.
We did not have high expectations and we got what we expected.
We arrived late, 10pm, and had a hard time finding it. (There is a small doorbell on the side of the main entrance, behind some vegetation). The staff said expedia called told them we were not coming, so our room was no longer available. The only option left was a room that shared a bathroom. With no other options we took it.
The staff was very friendly.

If you are on a budget this is a great option. It's not fancy but it's clean and safe and the service is very good. There are several restaurants and cafes within walking distance as well as a small convenience store. We blew our budget on the first night on a Peruvian restaurant called Inka that was amazing, literally one minute from our studio. Delicious food, beautiful presentation and excellent service. Ubers are easy to get and much less expensive than in Los Angeles (we're talking about 1/3 the price).

Perfect location for us as we were going to the National Stadium, short walk from there so it was very convenient. We would definitely recommend and stay there again, everything was wonderful.

This is a fairly nice hostel. The bathroom is shared with everyone else. The pictures on the website are particularly from this property and for the most part are not of the actual rooms. It is fairly clean. Don’t expect lush white towels or anything like that.

Cute boutique hotel with everything you need, comfortable rooms, and in a great location. Also the common areas are very nice.
