About this house rental
This freshly renovated home is located in a safe/quiet neighborhood on the edge of Hyde Park and Fairfax! You are a 2-minute drive from the new MedPace Campus with Element Eatery and Placebo along with other bars, restaurants, breweries and shopping. Old Red Bank Road is located directly off the highway and no more than a 15-minute drive to downtown and other major area attractions. The cottage is pet-friendly AND squeaky clean with a fenced-in back yard.
This 2-story home was built in 1936 with its original charm still intact along with MANY upgrades. Desirable and quiet neighborhood conveniently located close to Columbia Parkway, Highways, Restaurants, Walmart and everything else you need to eat, drink and play. The house is perched on a hill, so several steps are required.
Enter the front door into your living room with a large sectional couch, 70" smart TV, Bose Bluetooth speaker, books, games, Xbox 360 Kinect, dining for 4, pop-up coffee table, and remote-controlled flameless candles. Try one of the Cold Case files on a rainy day and sharpen your detective skills!
The kitchen is fully equipped with all your basic cooking needs. Stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, butcher block countertops, 12-pot Coffee/Keurig, toaster, dishware for 8, knife block, dish towels and full set of pots and pans. You will find all the cleaning products you possibly need underneath the sink including pet and wine stain remover. We provide one jumbo roll of paper towels, several dish pods, trash bags, dish soap, plastic wrap, tin foil, S/P, oil, ground coffee and creamer.
The main floor bathroom is freshly renovated, super clean and beautiful. The brand new 2nd bathroom is located in the fresh and clean basement (along with laundry facilities). Both bathrooms are open and airy with white subway tile great light and all the amenities you need. Basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, body lotion, and cleansing bar are provided. The linen closet provides ample towels, wash cloths, and hand towels.
All bedrooms have a super comfy queen bed with fresh white linens/down comforters, multiple pillows, eco-friendly fabric dresser, closet and a huge 55" Chromecast TV (HULU included). One bedroom downstairs also has a workspace and over-the-door ironing board/iron. One bedroom upstairs has a light-up makeup vanity.
The garage is attached to the cottage with keypad entry and enters into your new 2nd bathroom, freshly painted basement, new washer/dryer and folding table. You will also find sanitized pet and child-friendly items in the basement such crates, portable crib, toys, etc.
The property is located along the scenic Wasson Trail and a short 5-minute walk to the trail head entering Cincinnati's Premier Green Space, Ault Park. Explore the trails, picnic areas and events held in the park throughout the year, or simply enjoy watching the bicyclist and runners as you sip your morning coffee from the front patio.
Your host has resided in Greater Cincinnati for two decades. Much of her time was devoted to wine (restaurants, retail, distribution, private tastings, entertaining clients, etc.) which gives her an edge on recommendations, service and hospitality. She's excited to be your host!
This house is perfect for families with children or pets, as the backyard is completely and securely enclosed, with a fun hill to play on. We complete a thorough/multi-hour “de-furring” cleaning process when we have pet guests. We keep this property SUPER CLEAN as you can tell from our reviews :)
A 24/7 vet clinic is located minutes away as are Cincinnati's world-class medical facilities giving you piece of mind in the event of emergencies.
A rail crossing is across from the house, with trains running max 2X per day. Small cargo trains and a super cool dinner train with vintage railcars use the track and sound twice at crossing. We have never received any complaints from short or long-term tenants and the neighbors find it soothing as have we when staying at the cottage many nights :-)
I reside in Anderson township, only 15 minutes away from your cottage. My husband is your 24 hour on call maintenance man. We have our phones on at all times and will immediately address any needs.

Super nice cottage!! Nice back yard. The neighbor does have a dog so if you bring a dog like we did, they may not get along.

This was by far the best rental home we have ever stayed in. The house was really a home away from home! It was immaculate, comfortable, everything we could have wanted in a place to stay while traveling.
An amazing location! The longest it took us to get to either shopping, eating, or entertainment was about 15 minutes. Everything was so close.
Jesse, the host, also had lots of small, but meaningful touches that just made the experience the best we have ever had. We absolutely hope to stay here again when visiting Cincinnati!
We were traveling with our dog, who also enjoyed the trip. It had a great place to walk her in the mornings and evenings and a great fenced in back yard. And again, all of the little touches for our pet baby!
Thanks Jesse! Hope to see you next year!

We’ve never stayed in such a clean, pleasant and friendly place before. We felt so welcome and comfortable. All the little extras, too numerous to mention, were the perfect touch. Would definitely like to come back!

We enjoyed our stay, happy to have one place for everyone to stay! Only downfall for us was the stairs. Our older parents (late 70s) had a difficult time getting up and down the outside stairs as they were a little uneven.

I will try to stay here every time I visit in Cincinnati

Perfect house for a family of six. House was clean and stocked with all essentials. There were games for the little ones, board games, video games and a fire pit for the older ones. The backyard was big enough to play games with the kids. Whole family enjoyed the stay. The host, Jesse, was very responsive and helpful. If ever in the area, would love to stay again.

We came to Cincinnati for a contra dance weekend called Pigtown Fling. There were seven of us and the cottage was perfect for us. We would stay there, again.

Loved it. Very comfy and clean. Good yard for dogs; towels and blankets even provided for them! Plenty of bedrooms if that's what you need. Definitely recommend.

We stayed Friday-Sunday for our kids end of Christmas break and since we have 3 teens this house was perfect for at the end of the day everyone having their own space! Communication from the owners was great, not that we needed anything because it seems they thought of everything! I loved the little extras that were included should we have forgotten something and the binder book upon checkin was great for all the tips and info about the house. I especially loved the extra note that the brown blankets were fresh because I’m def a paranoid germaphobe who does not cuddle up to hotel blankets LOL. The neighbors were friendly, and we were just quick 15-20mins from downtown! Would def recommend and/or stay again!

We loved this house for our weekend trip! The house was very clean and absolutely everything we needed was available. There is a train but it runs only a few times a day (never at night that we noticed), the noise isn’t bad at all, and there is a dinner train that came by once which our kids loved seeing. The house is in such a great location, we were very close to every attraction we came for, as well as, so many restaurants. The host was so kind and helpful. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a rental in this area to choose this property!

From the minute we walked in, we felt at home. This was a great place for my family to stay together for family weekend at Xavier University. The house was cozy and there were many details that went above and beyond! The communication with the host was wonderful! We would love to stay here again!

Owner thought of everything when setting up this place for rental. Great place to stay and the beagle next door was so cute! Owner answers you right away and is very very friendly. I will definitely be staying here again. If you plan on visiting Cincinnati this should be the only place for you to stay unless of course it's booked

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jesse's home. The home was clean and tidy, and looked exactly as the listing photos. The beds were super comfortable, and sheets were fresh and white! I had no trouble falling asleep every night. This home had everything we really were needing (hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner, makeup remover, welcome drinks!, local food/activity suggestions), including a place for my toddler to sleep and even a giant firetruck for him to play with! How did she know that would be his absolute favorite toy of the weekend?!
I would absolutely stay here again, and would choose this VRBO over a hotel room, as it offered the same amentities as a hotel, but with much more room for my husband, parents, and toddler's visit to Cincinnati.

Stayed for several nights while visiting family in Cincy. The location for us could not have been more convenient and easy to find. Bonus was that it is right on a bike trail. The cottage is well appointed, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

We came to stay with our family for the weekend for a wedding. The home was clean and very quiet. Our sons and son in law loved the Xbox that was there. Was very close to anything you could possibly need. We even walked to the Walmart one morning just to get some exercise. Would for sure stay again if in the area. ☺️

We just returned from our stay at the cute and cozy cottage and had the best time. It’s close to everything in Hyde Park, Mt lookout and Oakley and many more neighborhoods. There’s a walking trail at the end of the street that connects to Ault Park as well. We went to visit extended family and enjoyed the house so much. We couldn’t wait to come back at the end of each day and relax. The rooms are all great and clean and the kitchen has everything you need.
We definitely would love to book again next time we are in town!

Weekend getaway with friends for Reds ballgame. Perfect location close enough to city but still quiet. House was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Plenty of room for our group of 8, we never felt crowded. The cottage was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. I loved how thorough the house manual was, it's nice to know tips/tricks about the home and area. A tv in every bedroom was a key point for the gamers in our group. The beds are so comfortable with cozy bedding. Water pressure in the shower is great. We really enjoyed our evenings on the back deck and loved meeting Curtis (he's so sweet). Nice, quiet neighborhood. We were within 20 minutes of all the attractions we wanted to visit so the location was perfect. I really feel Jessica has gone above and beyond to make guests feel at home while at the cottage. This will be our new go to place to stay when we are in the area. Thanks so much for helping us make great memories!!

This place is amazing. It was perfectly located for all the activities we had planned (Zoo, Ark, Creation Museum, Aquarium, Reds game, dining, antiquing). Jesse and John were phenomenal hosts. They went the extra mile with the extra and amenities (thanks for the chocolates!) We truly felt welcomed and cared for during our ladies' vacation. Highly reccommend this hidden gem.

The host has everything you could need- from games to crates for our dogs they thought of everything. An added touch was TV’s in all bedrooms. So many rentals only have a TV in the living room it’s nice being able to lay in bed and watch tv

Jessica was more than helpful with any questions I had and had many questions answered in her wonderful information book. The cottage had everything you could need to cook meals, relax, entertain, and have an overall great time. We will be returning for another weekend get away.

I helped host an all ladies church spa night here, and it was fabulous! Spacious and comfy. Many bedrooms for everyone to sleep in, big tvs in every room. Great decor, and with 6 cars lots of parking space between the long driveway and street which was a big concern for us. The host was very nice, that was refreshing. I would absolutely stay here again.

Everything about this stay was perfect! The hosts are so nice and accommodating and the space is charming and nicely decorated. We stayed for 11 days over the holiday season and the host put up a tree and decorations for us and left us wrapping supplies for last minute gifts. She was very thoughtful in asking us first how we celebrate the holiday. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed and the location is so convenient. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping and parks nearby and downtown is a short drive away. The hosts are animal lovers like we are and they took extra steps to make sure your pets are safe. The backyard is fenced in and our two pups were able to run and have fun! I will close with this, I have used VRBO and others many times and this experience was by far the best!
