This is a very nice location very close to the square. We had a few issues - wasps - but what do you expect in Texas I guess! Our hosts made a call to their pest control guy came out early the next morning and took care of the problem. A few other things happened as well, but the host made everything right in the end. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

This property was PERFECT for a weekend in June in Texas. Even after rain and storms, everything was done to get the pool in order for the kids to swim. About a 15 minute walk to downtown. 10/10 in everything!

Our two families stayed in McKinney for a baseball tournament in July, and the experience was fantastic. The house felt like a home away from home and had everything we needed. Its proximity to the freeway was convenient, making travel easy. The outdoor area was perfect for hanging out, and the kiddos absolutely loved the pool. The owners were extremely responsive and kind, accommodating us with a late check-out which really helped with our baseball schedule. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

We had such a nice stay at the Waddill Cottage. The beautiful home was inviting, clean and very well equipped. We spent most of our time outside around the beautiful pool area which was partly shaded and very refreshing. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a big birthday dinner. Beds and baths were great as well. Location also gets a thumbs up. Overall, a great stay and would highly recommend.

This house is simply darling! Beautiful bedrooms, lovely kitchen, tons of space, and all the amenities. We enjoyed the front patio in the morning and the back patio in the afternoon. The pool is perfect for a small gathering and there's so.much.space.to.relax! Loved it!

This was a beautiful and well stocked home. Had everything you need from kitchen and bathroom supplies to a full tank of propane for the grill. You can tell a lot of love has gone into making this a great getaway. We loved the pool area with lots of seating. Everything was super clean! Would definitely love to return.

This is a great house in a historic setting. House was built in 1910 and lovingly maintained. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Charmingly decorated with lots of historic pieces. The outside area is perfect for gatherings although the pool was a little small. I would absolutely stay here again and again! the host were very responsive and professional.

We loved our stay at Alisa and John’s house in McKinney. They have created a space that is welcoming, comfortable, and beyond our expectations.
Every detail has been carefully considered - from the coffee station to the bath products, the variety of pillow options and extra blankets!
Our family stayed for 4 nights, and had time to enjoy the well-appointed kitchen, cozy patio, and the pool. The house is close to a variety of restaurants and shopping.
Alisa provided prompt communication, and was responsive throughout our stay. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Alisa and John!

Everything was wonderful, the back yard was a dream. We had a nice relaxing family weekend. It was clean and well stocked. The beds were heavenly. My daughter said she wants to be part of the family lol. We will be back again. Thank u sooo much the house was amazing.

We visited McKinney on short notice for a funeral. I’m very glad to have found this house. It’s a very comfortable house with plenty of space, while still feeling very cozy. Lots of amenities, the beds were comfortable, the outdoor space is fantastic for entertaining and the pool feels very private and shaded. I would highly recommend booking here.

Fantastic time in Mckinney, outstanding property close to town and the historic district. We attended a wedding but will be back to enjoy more of McKinney and the area! Highly recommend the property wonderful for a family and beautiful architecture.

My Mom was celebrating her 80th birthday. I wanted to do something special just for her. When I saw this house I knew it was perfect! But when we walked in, it was love at first sight. Neither one of us wanted to leave. It is charming beyond words. Exceptional. Met all our expectations 10 fold. We are already planning to return next year!

This is a lovely home. We stayed here for our son's wedding weekend with our family. We had a great time and this was the perfect place to stay! Everyone was comfortable & we loved sitting outside at night after the rehearsal dinner & wedding! Alisa communicated well and helped us out with arrival time! Gig'Em!!

This lovely home was so comfortable and perfect for our family of eight. We spent the weekend shopping, eating and enjoying the beautiful Christmas decorations in McKinney Square. Waddill Cottage, an adorable Craftsman home in a quiet neighborhood has so much charm. We loved the outdoor space with heaters and comfortable seating for our group to enjoy drinks and visiting & laughing together. We hope to come back and enjoy the pool in warmer weather.

I cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was. This was a reunion of high school girlfriends! The property was amazing and had anything and everything we needed. The pool was fabulous, and coffee on the porch in the mornings made for a great way to start the day. Spent our time dining and shopping in the nearby McKinney Square. Alisa was fantastic to work with. She responded immediately and was happy to work with our special requests. She went above and beyond with some additional information about her fabulous pillows :) I highly recommend her property. I have a feeling it won't be the last time we stay!

Wonderful weekend at The Cottage. Close to downtown for exploring and shopping. Enjoyed relaxing in the pool. Property is amazing and hosts are delightful and easy to work with! Highly recommend. Looking forward to returning!

Our group loved staying in this really cute house for a small family reunion. The decor is homey and includes some beautiful old furniture pieces. Our favorite area was the outdoor covered patio. The three preteens stayed in the pool all day. The beds were comfortable, even the Murphy bed. We now plan to have this reunion here every other year at Waddill Cottage.

The house and location was perfect for our annual girls trip. The pool was on the smaller side but it actually turned out to be just right for 6 women who needed to reconnect and stay cool. The back patio was comfortable and had nice seating and lighting for our night time chats as well. The house is a DREAM! Very comfortable beds and linens and all the amenities you could ever need. The attention to detail was fun to explore as well. We loved drinking our coffee on the beautiful front porch! Communication was excellent! I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

We were only in McKinney for a couple of days. We are so glad we found this gem. The owners are fantastic and super easy to work with. The home is adorable and we could tell that a lot of thought was put into the decor of the home. Extremely warm and welcoming. 10/10 recommended !

I traveled with my family and in laws here and we had such a beautiful time! The house was in perfect condition and everything we needed was provided. I booked this location because of the outdoor space and it did not disappoint! We would stay here every trip if we could! Book here if you are even considering booking a house in Dallas. It is a MUST. Also, great neighborhood! Everything you would need is right around the corner.

We had a nice stay in McKinney. The house is beautiful and well equipped with all the odds and ends you need on a trip but are a hassle to pack. The owners offered early check in which worked well with our arrival to Dallas. The pool was beautiful but did have a bulky cleaner that we didn’t feel comfortable removing in case it would harm it. The pool is small so it made me nervous for our kids swimming with the long hose. It’s definitely a pool for adults. The bottoms and sides are not smooth so the kids’ feet got cut up swimming around. There was a rusty broken chair in the backyard and a maintenance guy showed up unannounced to us. We were all in our suits & we worried it wasn’t legitimate and messaged the owner to confirm. I give the house a 4/5 stars. Overall our stay was nice with some hiccups and could’ve been better spots.

Our son got married in McKinney and we were hosted at Waddill Cottage for the weekend. The cottage was the perfect location for downtown McKinney very close to the venue and rehearsal dinner. We enjoyed visiting with our family around the backyard pool and eating meals around the large dining room table. Each bedroom had very comfortable beds and the den was another perfect gathering place for our family. The hosts made sure that all our needs were met and exceeded. I would recommend Waddill Cottage for any downtown McKinney activities.

This was the perfect place for our group of college girlfriends to stay! The house was very comfortable, amenities were exceptional. We spent most of our time outside under the covered patio talking and reminiscing about our college days. Beautiful neighborhood. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, clean and decorated beautifully. Great house for larger groups. We would stay here again!

Such a lovely property!
We stayed for the weekend for a family wedding, and the property could not be more perfect. The pool area, the backyard, the stocked kitchen, and the fun, living area was perfect for our family!

We stayed here for three nights for a nearby wedding and were beyond pleased with our choice. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and clean with so many interesting decorative touches. A dream kitchen and comfortable, inviting furniture throughout - including a king sized four poster bed that made you feel like royalty. The kiddo delighted in the murphy bed. But the true star of this place is the outdoor living room and pool area - we spent as much time as possible out here enjoying the comfy outdoor couches, the lounge chairs, the porch swing, and the pool with a long sitting bench along one side. One night we picked up pizza and dined al fresco at the round table with a built in fire feature. And we built fires in the large stone fireplace and made smores - to our five year old's unending delight. We also enjoyed morning walks through the neighborhood with its plethora of charming houses and flower laden yards. Perfect place for picture perfect memories - if we are ever in the area again we won't hesitate to come back!

I rented this home for us to stay for my daughters wedding weekend. It was perfect for the bridesmaids to all stay together and relax before the festivities. We really enjoyed the beautiful patio. The front porch was the perfect morning coffee spot. I need to rent again for my bookclub getaway. The house is just lovely and our host were the most gracious.

This house is so amazing. It is spacious and cozy with lots of room to spread out. The outside patios are wonderful. We built a fire outside every night. The host is wonderful and very responsive. I will be back this summer to enjoy the pool. I highly recommend this house

This house was amazing. Close to dowtime night life. The house was comfortable with all the necessities of home. We loved it so much, we are looking into booking a trip this summer so we can use the pool.
There was a storm the night before we arrived that knocked out the power. The owners were amazing. Taught us how to get the fire going and kept us up to date on all things while it was being repaired. CANNOT wait to visit again. We loved it!

Great place for us and our adult children during our stay in McKinney. We would definitely book here again! Our only regret was due to colder than normal temperatures since we would have loved to try out the pool and outdoor spaces!
