About this house rental

Our tastefully renovated Bergerie offers every comfort in
a century old Bergerie (floor heating, Sauna, WIFI...).

The Bergerie is a solitary building situated on 2,5 ha property of meadow and forest, only 10-15km drive from three ski resorts (one being the largest in the Pyrenees), and only 7min from Luz-Saint-Sauveur, a bustling town with many cafes, shops, cinema, thermal spa and much more.

The Bergerie is rented throughout the year. In winter, it is ideal for winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing ...) and in the summer it is a great base for beautiful hikes through canyons, high mountains and vast Pyrenean highlands.

The Bergerie sits on a little plateau over the Lassariou river, offering a perfect playground for children and adults in the middle of forests and steep mountain slopes.

We restored the old building of the Bergerie maintaining the traditional architectural elements of the region. The Bergerie keeps its old slate roof, thick stone walls, artistic gables, mixed with modern building materials, kitchen, heating system and large windows offering beautiful mountain views.

On cold days you will love the under floor heating after a Sauna, and will enjoy preparing regional food in the modern kitchen. In summer, you can open the large windows and feel as if you were sitting in the middle of the aromatic mountain meadow listening to the rushing waterfalls of the Lassariou river.

Had an amazing week at the cottage. It was very clean and tidy on arrival. Lydia was great and friendly and very helpful. The cottage is in the perfect location. Very private with beautiful views of the valley and mountains. The cottage had everything we needed. We loved having the goats over for tea at about 6pm for the fallen cherries. 😂. Perfect for cycling and walking. Not too far from Luz saint-sauver.

A wonderful week with family and friends in this well set up house. The property was peaceful, spacious and airy, open plan downstairs and good sized bedrooms - plenty of space for 7 of us. With close proximity to the town, Gavarnie and other amazing places to visit in the area we were spoilt for choice. Communication with the owners and Lydie was excellent as were all the facilities.

We spent a wonderful week at the Bergerie - the weather was between 25-30 degrees everyday! The house was spacious, comfortable, clean and everything we needed. Incredibly private and such stunning views (even from the bathroom window!). The location is fantastic and there are so many hikes and beautiful sights all within an hour of the house. Thank you Julie for a very memorable family holiday!

Morden spacious stylish cottage, my husband and me enjoyed it very much. Very good equiped kitchen, comfortable bed, fast wifi, but most of all we liked wonderful nature around, views of mountains, quitness and privacy. Sitting outside eating breakfast was so relaxing. The cottage is the last on the hill on the private road, feels like you are all alone surrounded by nature. A lot of must see sites and hiking trails within 20-40 min driving. Communication with hosts was also nice and easy. Thank you, Julie, for letting us stay.

The house was beautiful and extremely comfortable and clean. Well equipped, and awesome views of the snow peaked mountains from the patio and from windows. Luz St. Sauveur has everything you need and is only a 5-10 minute ride from the house. Great hiking at all levels, and beautiful sightseeing if you do not hike. This was our second stay at Bergerie, and this time we were charmed by the goats hanging out on the hillside and playing with us. While there were restaurants open off season, the local ingredients were so fresh and fine that we ate home every night.

Very comfortabel and luxurious 'Bergerie' in the Midi Pyrenees. With exceptional views. With ovely hot tub under the - starry - sky. Situated at the end of the (partly gravel)road above the small village of Sia nearby Luz. Impressive walks right from the Bergerie. The Cirque de Gavarnie, Tourmalet, Col de Tentes and Cirque du Troumouse as fabulous destinations within half an hour by car. For us the perfect place for a fine combination of walking / cycling and relaxing!

We stayed at the Bergerie for a few days during a hiking trip in the Pyrenees. The cabin is nicely situated in the region with easy access to many excellent trails. The cabin is clean and modern and has all the things you need during such a trip including wifi, laundry and kitchen and some nice extras like the sauna which are very helpful after a long day of hiking. As mentioned above the location is excellent because there are many activities nearby but the cabin is also secluded enough to be private while being close enough to small towns for convenience. Overall, we had a very nice stay at the Bergerie and would definitely stay there again should we come back to this region. Also, the cows that live nearby are very nice too.

We had such an amazing time at this property! From the start, Julia was an exceptional host. Her communication was excellent and she was super organised. We were greeted by the housekeeper, Lydie, who was so lovely. She took the time to show us the property and made us all feel very welcome. The house itself is roomy, open, clean and modern with a rustic charm. The property is also very quiet. We easily accommodated 8 people. We hope to return one day in the near future. Thank you
