Roomy country place just off blacktop road which is easy to get to. Loved the 4 bedrooms with 5 beds (plus an extra foldout bed if needed). With 5 of us, we enjoyed this greatly. One bedroom is accessed only from the outside so the person who stays in that one has to go outside and then into the house to access the bathroom. Bring your own shampoo. Great tv choices, book, and some games although we enjoyed traveling nearby. Very clean with clear instructions.

My kids and grandkids enjoyed this location so much! They played in the creek several times a day. Hit golf balls and then they fetched them back. They loved the hot tub and the jacuzzi tub. Such a great place to stay! We played the games provided and the table was plenty big enough for us to eat and play at. There was so much to do for even the pickiest kids. Let's face it, we all have at least one. If you go to Jasper to grab a meal try the Pizza down town and the little convenience stores were yummy too. We plan on returning to view the fall foliage. Thanks so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

Enjoyed the stay at the property very much. This was our second trip there and will be coming back next year. Guys trip with our young boys, they had a blast in the creek and open field. Fire pit was a big hit as well as the hot tub!

Comfortable, roomy, as advertised. This is not a new property; perfect for us.

Property is wonderful. Very private and pretty. Everything we needed was there for great family getaway from the busyness of normal life. Hot tub, fire pit and lots of space was perfect for our family of 6. Only thing to note for potential renters, almost no cell signal in this area and closest real grocery store is about 20 minutes away, so plan accordingly. But property was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation with the grand kids. It's in a great location for exploring the Ozarks. It was centrally located to all the trails we had on our list. It was large enough for everyone to spread out, and it has a very large dining room table for when we all came together. The views from the porch are spectacular and the creek was a bonus. It has a brand new hot tub which was a big hit after long days of hiking. The communication with the host was great.

The only downside was the stairs. Very difficult for my wife and me to climb. Wasn’t as clean as we expected but all in all was a very good week.

Positives:
* It is spacious. Rooms are huge and lots of main floor gathering space. We didn't get to use the outdoors for our trip but it would be great for a longer trip as well.
* Kitchen was nicely stocked
* Owner quick to respond with questions
* Great place for a guys weekend/trip
Areas to Improve:
* Description says sleeps 11 but the base is set at 4...be aware of this...the more people you have the higher it will charge you.
* Description says 5 bedrooms (6 beds) but there were only 4 (5 beds). (This seems to be updated on the description after writing to the owner)

Annual Girls Trip and this was the perfect place to stay. Off the beaten path but still within a days trip to just about anywhere you'd want to go. Plenty of space to spread out or be together. Perfect for the rural get away. The home and property are well loved and beautifully maintained. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and i are from the Carolinas and live in Texas. We have fallen in love with the Ozarks as it reminds us of home. (We actually now love the Ozarks more)
It was my wife's 53rd birthday and what she wanted was to stay in the country again for awhile.
We stayed in this VERY private setting for 5 nights, we thoroughly enjoyed the sound of crickets and wildlife and the serenity that the 5 acre property provided. We mostly stayed outside the entire stay.
Barefoot walks in the lawn and field took us back, and helped ground us, as well as walks up and down the driveway.
We enjoyed watching our 2 furbabies get to stretch their legs and run and play.
Juergen was very helpful and right on top of any need or question we had.... like responded almost immediately!!! Very very professional
We thought so much of this property that we reserved it again for a future date before we even left!!!
If you want privacy in a country setting, and need the healing only the country can provide aside from The Lord Jesus Christ..... this is it!!!

Misty Creek Cabin was a wonderful home base for my family's Ozark vacation. Lots of outdoor opportunities were within a 30 min. drive. The cabin easily accommodated my family of 4 plus my in-laws. Beds were comfy, loved the gas grill, and the AC worked beautifully when it was 100+ each day of our trip. (Fear not: even the locals were like "it's never this hot.") Tip: check out Sam's Throne Campground south of the cabin on Hwy 123--hike the right-hand trail at the end of the road. A short walk to the overlook at sunset provides awesome views! I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely very nice cabin. Kids love lake and spent all the time outdoors. The cabin was clean, comfortable, beautiful and had everything you we needed. The fire ring was a great place to relax and spending quality time with my family. The host was helpful and ensured we had a great stay.

Overall the house was nice and it met our needs just fine. A few "minor" things to our group, but should be addressed and/or noted in the listing. The garden hose was left on and leaking so water was puddled and entering the home at the front door making the throw rug soaked. There were multiple very well used fly strips hanging in the house and the gnats are probably there due to the standing water. The "floor plan" is a little strange, the 4th bedroom is not accessible thru the door in the laundry room and you must go outside to utilize that bedroom. The upstairs bathroom is shared between 2 bedrooms with "Jack & Jill" doors, so you can't access the bathroom without passing thru a bedroom, and none of the bathroom door locks work. The owner sends multiple attachments so make sure you print all of them. I overlooked the "alarm attachment" so we set off the alarm and had to call the owner, but that was my fault. To our group these were minor issues and we would certainly stay here again.

Absolutely stunning piece of property. Grandchildren loved the creek and spent hours playing there. The house was fantastic, with enough room for all ten of us. Will definitely book here again!

This was a trip for a girls getaway. Beautiful area and nice house! I was not crazy about staying in the room downstairs because the only way to enter the room is from the outside so I had to go outside and unlock the front door to go the bathroom at night. This should be corrected.

A wonderful cabin in the Ozarks. The location was perfect for exploring the Buffalo National River and Ozark National Forest. The cabin was clean, comfortable, beautifully appointed and had everything you would need. The fire ring was a great place to relax after a day of hiking. The host was also very helpful and ensured we had a great stay.

Tranquil. All bedrooms are upstairs, so it was a little struggle with the puppies and elderly parents. If you have Verizon you will need to be able to use Wi-Fi calling, AT&T worked fine. Our first day we got to visit with the cows nearby. Very scenic area and we got to see tons of stars at night.

Misty Creek Cabin was amazing! It was a beautiful cabin with great accommodations. Great bedrooms, very nice kitchen and living room. It was just perfect. The property was the best thing anyone could ever ask for. It has a huge yard, great for our pup Oscar, there's a Creek running through it and it's fenced with a gate that locks behind you. We loved the security. Misty Creek is our favorite place in the Jasper area. Many thanks to the Lottmans!

Great place to stay.Used as a base for a small group of motorcycle riders.
Place was very secluded from most conveniences. But that we knew that going in to it. Nice creek running next to the property. The surrounding Ozark mountains with the winding roads made for excellent motorcycle riding. I would absolutely recommend staying there.

A Great Stay in the Mountains
The stay at Misty Creek was lovely. We had a great time just relaxing with family playing games, watching TV and, best of all, toasting marshmallows over the fire outside! The kids love a good fire, and we had two of them! Sadly, it rained one of our three nights there. The kids also liked the big yard areas where they could run around and play games outside.
We went exploring to find swimming holes and waterfalls one day, and went to the Mystic Caverns another day. Both were enjoyable! I would warn that keeping your visit to Mystic Caverns to just one tour is probably a good idea if you have younger children with you. My 6 yr old grandson only had the attention span for one!
The house was well equipped with most everything you would need; plenty of towels, basic spices in the kitchen, lovely grill outside to use, etc. The only annoyance in the kitchen was the serious lack of spoons and a spatula that was useable. The cookware was great; a whole set that matched. Not at all like some houses we have rented that has stuff that was collected for a dollar at a garage sale. The only other annoyance was the amount of flies. I am not sure why there were so many except to say that you are in the country and there is livestock all around. The scenery was beautiful, and the creek was nice. The owners were quick to get back to me when I had questions.
All in all, this is a great house if you want a quiet stay in the mountains whether you are by yourself or with your family.

Love the area. Wouldn’t choose this cabin again.
We spent half of one of our vacation days waiting on the Direct TV person to come & fix the tv that didn’t work from the time we got there. Jacuzzi tub didn’t work. We were expected to start laundry for the cleaning person.

When I was searching for a property I was searching Harrison. After I booked it is located in Vendor. 37 miles away. I immediately asked the owner about this and was replied with, than cancel but you won’t get your money refunded. Beware of switchback roads. Very dangerous if it gets icy. The home is outdated. Straight out of a 1970 sitcom. House hold goods need to match and be updated. Bedding etc is good. But for the price you need nice dishes, pots and pans. The living room furniture is uncomfortable. I would expect more for the price point.

Great place to get away
Property was beautiful with a stream running through it. Had wifi which was needed due to no cell service. Place was clean and well kept. It did have some alarmingly big red bees I had never seen but didn't mess with us or dog. If you want to get away from people and enjoy nature this is the spot for you.

Beautiful place to stay
We had a wonderful stay at Misty Creek. The home was beautiful, as was the surrounding area. We loved playing in the creek that was right outside and hiking the trails nearby. Even though it rained the last day we were there, we still enjoyed our time inside playing games and just getting to relax. We would love to visit again.

Fantastic for large groups!
We had a group of 8 people and a few dogs. The space was very accommodating. The one thing we had to complain about was the comfort of the beds and pillows. Otherwise, a great spot! You’ll love the creek that runs in front of the house for swimming. We went on some nature adventures that were all within 30 min drive.

Nice place
We stayed for our annual guys trip to the buffalo. It was a bit further that we thought, but was nice. Showers were small. Some beds were hard, but other than those things, we loved it.
