Room was bright, clean and cosy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar small and cosy . Amble was better than expected.
Would have liked breakfast. Harbour view was stretching the truth a little bit although I could see harbour from window.

Very welcoming, smiles as soon as we walked through door, room fantastic, bar service excellent we had dinner in restaurant and all we can say is you will travel a long way to get a dinner to beat the harbour inn, the food menu is superb as is the wine list, we shall be returning very soon, life is simple if you do it right and the harbour inn certainly do it right.

The room was lovely and very comfortable.
An extra touch was fresh milk instead of the normal uht cartons.
Good location and very quiet
The place looked like it was closed when we arrived and we were told that it was - they were just waiting for us to arrive. The room was cold on arrival, yes it was sorted out but for the price of the room which doesn't include breakfast this sort of thing should be address prior to arrival.
Chose this location for the sea view which it most definitely wasn't - yes you could see the sea in the distance over roof tops of run down buildings!!
There were no reviews when I booked but echo everything that has been said. I'm sure it's just teething problems as this is a new venture.
It would have been nice to have some information in the rooms as to where to go for breakfast from their own personal experience etc.

Great location, friendly, attentive staff who were always warm, welcoming and helpful and could not do enough to make sure it was an enjoyable stay. Bed was so comfy and room was lovely. Food in restaurant looked amazing however we had already made reservations elsewhere prior to visit. Staff were always so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
An expensive stay considering it didn't have breakfast included. Bath water wasn't very hot and had drainage issue, however as soon as this was raised with management they could not do enough to try and make up for this as they weren't aware.

The room was nice, more like a little suite. It was very recently refurbished to the point that it looked like one or two small finishing touches were still to come! The bath in the second room was really nice. Very comfy bed.
The room, location and facilities were oversold and were not cheap.
I specifically booked this room because of the good reviews of the seafood restaurant downstairs. I tried to book a table en route but failed, only to find that they had stopped serving evening meals two weeks before. They had not updated the website (and still haven't a week later). That was super annoying, as was the discovery that they do not do breakfast. I should perhaps have worked this out from the zero mention of breakfast on the website, but they also don't say 'room only' and make much of the restaurant which gives the impression of food on site.
Sea views - yes, but with a down-at-heel building in front, then an industrial estate area, then a harbour, and eventually the sea in the distance. The website, photos and 'sell' gave the impression of a room opening onto a classic pretty harbour.
Finally, the room was really nicely done, but they should have switched on the fridge before we arrived, have brought milk up when they promised (we eventually had to go and fetch it), and set their combi boiler high enough to provide water hot enough for the lovely bath. It was warm at best.
Bed - very comfortable and nice, good quality bedlinen, but they have scrimped on the pillows which spoilt the whole luxury experience.
All round the Harbour Inn could be really good, but needs tweaks. If they take action on all the above then it would be well worth a visit!

Room nicely designed, good location, great bathroom and comfortable bed.
Milk left in fridge when added to coffee floated with bits suggesting not fresh, soap and shower gels both empty, keypad door left unlocked. Nowhere to get breakfast. Stairway to rooms smells very musty (as an asset manager I’d recommend it be tested for damp) - only this area as room was fine.
Not major issues but I’d expect more for the cost.
