Fresh air in this Village
Far from city Centre of Bologne. Buses are there but the Last ones at 20 oclock. Room was really small and not enough clean. We asked at reception about possibilities to eat something and personel didnt know where are restaurants in the area. Opening hours of restaurant to eat dinner at 18.30 definetely too late. For that price we could have all apartment but the size and standard of room was really too low.

It was a pleasure to leave, otherwise nothing.
Everything from the surly reception, the location and condition of accommodation. Website images very deceptive.

The location
On arrival the staff member was sullen. A key was handed over whereupon we found the room had not been serviced and objects from the previous occupant were still lying around, with used towels on the floor. On asking for a different room, a key to a different room was grudgingly hsnded over with no apology or comment. The new room had run out of toilet paper so we had to get some from the previous room, still unlocked fortunately.

The location of the property was excellent. The rooms were fine, basic but had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and food was excellent.
It wasn’t a huge problem but we were split between two buildings.

Comfortable room. Clean. Great location

Simple, clean and with everything we needed for one night. Central location in an interesting town not far from ferries and Eurotunnel. Breakfast sufficient and reasonably priced. Free car park in square outside hotel. Staff offered to carry our bags upstairs.
The stairs were a challenge for my partially-sighted partner. In the attractive square there was a bad smell from the drains. (Probably due to the long dry spell the sewers need jetting out - not the hotel’s fault). No smell in hotel, fortunately.

The sheets were fresh and clean.
The room was not clean, dust everywhere, floor not hovered or swept, you couldn’t move around without shoes on. The bathroom was also not cleaned properly (we had to clean the floor ourselves), the water in the shower was not draining properly, you would have a pool at your feet while taking the shower. On top of all this, the smell in the bathroom was unbearable. Overall, for a £70/night, without breakfast, I felt it was a rip off.
Also, as I don’t expect extra facilities when it comes to 2 starts hotels, I would expect at least to have a soap, so that you can wash your hands.
Plus, they have entered the room before we handed over the keys, although it wasn’t the time to check out.
Overall, disappointing and if looking for a clean, decent room, this shouldn’t be your choice.

Very friendly check-in.
No hand soap in our ensuite bathroom.
The toilet brush was filthy.

Close to beach town centre shops and Bistro/bar which acts as reception
Parking close by and free but uphill with bags not fun at my age if you are lucky street parking is very close by and you could pull up and unload then find a spot to park if you were lucky enough to have read this great review!

the quality and quantity of the breakfast worth 4.5 euros and not 7 euros !!!

It’s location close to calais.
Checking in was a nightmare. You had to checkin at the brasserie and it took a very long time to get their attention as they were so busy on a Saturday evening serving food. The room was on the 2nd floor, the double bed should have been replaced a decade ago. It was extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom stank of alcohol and cigarettes. The worst aspect was that there was loud amplified music from the basement until 1am. It was also expensive cf other places in France we stayed afterwards.

Good location of hotel easy to find stuff very friendly

The hotel member of staff was so friendly and accommodating. So respectful of my desire to try to use my French.
Room overlooked the river with a little balcony. It was a short walk to the bars and restaurants.
We ate in the at the hotel and the food was incredible. Very small selection on a choice of two set menus but each dish was exquisite. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had.

The reception was nice and friendly
bad value
Disappointing poor breakfast despite pictures and info on booking.com
Very old water boiler/coffee machine

We were looking for a quick overnight stay with our dogs and this is what we got. We weren't looking for luxury and this was the case, the room was OK however we have stayed in other hotels at the same or better price which were better especially Ibis Budget.
The walk to the beach was easy and useful for taking the dogs out, a bit windy on the night we stayed so we couldn't say how nice the beach was.
Room was not very pleasant and could have done with being painted or freshened up.

The stairs were extremely steep, rooms very tiny

It allows owners to keep their pets with them.
Very shabby and needs some serious updating . The shower was not really fit for purpose.

Lovely family rooms, comfy beds, clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner at the brasserie
Outside tiles on the steps leading up to the Cesar Hotel were broken and loose
