Everything brilliant. Steps to property will be a challenge as we get older

We had a lovely break at this property, the location is great as it is walking distance to the town and beach. It is at the top of a rather steep hill, which we did struggle with a little.
The mattress on the double upstairs is very soft, to soft for our liking, but that’s just a preference. If you need a firm mattress then ensure you the double downstairs.
Slightly dated, but it has everything you need for a family holiday for a good price. I would recommend.

Great place
We have stayed here for the last few years now and this time was just as good. Had a lovely holiday home from home with husband, two teens and 3 dogs highly recommend

Teignmouth is lovely and this house is well situated with great views and quite easy access without too much traffic noise. We appreciated the 4 bedrooms, but found the kitchen very cramped to cook in and also needed some extra cleaning before it could be used. We found it difficult to sleep as the mattresses on all beds were uncomfortable and very much need replacing. The walls between the house and the neighbouring property are also very thin. The WiFi and TV connections were unfortunately poor, so watching TV was not possible - just DVDs. We were grateful for the washing machine and drier. It would have been handy to have had a dishwasher given how small the kitchen is and how little space there was to dry crockery. The communications with the owner were excellent and he was very considerate and helpful. Overall, the property provides reasonable value and Teignmouth is a fabulous place to visit.

Teignmouth house
First impression not good as the front garden is overgrown, not as in photo. House is on a steep hill, and it was easier to park on the road rather than try and get into the parking space. Inside the decor is looking tired, and some areas were a little grubby, but plenty of space.
Well situated for visiting many places. Dartmoor and Brixham are both only 30 minutes drive. We enjoyed our stay

Good base to get around
Good base for everything around, very comfortable table although it could do with a update as it’s looking a bit tired in places but did not effect our stay

Spacious house in a quiet location.
We enjoyed staying here as we had lots of space and good communication with Rory. We liked the DVD’s, games and books and the big TV in the living room.

Family weekend
The house was warm and welcoming when I arrived. It would have been useful to have a cafetière in the kitchen.

Excellent spot for Devon exploring
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Well equipped with everything our family needed for our week away. This is also the perfect spot for not only exploring Teignmouth and Shaldon, but also nearby places such as Dawlish and Dawlish Warren, Torquay and Paignton.
The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars across the board is because we had 2 kids under 4 and some grandparents with us, and the walk back up from Teignmouth proved just too much - we did it on the first day but never again!
Would be fine with older children though.
Thanks so much Rory!

Just what we needed
We stayed here while I was working in the area for a few days. Finding places that will take two dogs is hard but this place was perfect. We had lovely walks along the front and the house was comfortable and had what we needed.

good location and pet friendly
Enough bedrooms for a large family, and good enclosed outside space for a dog. Location good for us, although lots of steps and on a steep hill so not recommended for the not so mobile. Cleanliness felt a little lacking, and no manual for the heating, but all in all a good stay

Great place to stay
The house was perfect for a short stay. It is close to the centre of Teignmouth, but be warned, it is at the top of a steep hill, so bear this in mind.
Owner was always available for any issues/questions, with prompt polite responses.

A relaxing stay in Beautiful surroundings.
A pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings. Our 3 year old loved the trampoline and totally enjoyed his first jacuzzi bath! The view from the front bedrooms is delightful, looking out over towards shaldon and the river teign. Communication with the owners was great too, with them being friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay
This house was exactly as listed - no surprises. It was well stocked and spacious. 7 of us stayed there and had plenty of room. One of the best parts was that there was a guaranteed parking spot for us. The roads are incredibly steep and parking right in front of the house was fantastic. Communication with the host was timely and informative. We would definitely recommend this property as it was great value for money. Thank you to Rory and family for our enjoyable experience.

We'll be back!
Absolutely loved staying here, it was excatly what we wanted. Lots of space, close enough to everything you need but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. We will definitely be back... Our only improvement suggestion would be front garden maintenance to enjoy more of the view which is hindered by the growing reeds. Absolutely excellent all round property!

Very easy living and great scenic area to be in. Enjoyed the house as was fully functional. Nice to be at the coast a couple of days and be away from London . Plenty to do in this area. Didn’t spend time in house but was all we needed and more. Good rate and recommended .

Tigers in Teigmouth
Have had two stays of 4 nights each in this great holiday unit. We found it more than adequate for what we needed in our working visits to Paignton. Beds are terrific, the two double bedrooms are comfortable and light. The upstairs double has a great summer double door. The view from the front is a lovely valley view and twinkles at night.
Shower is good with plenty warm water and the staircase up is quiet and carpeted.
We did enjoy having a washing machine and dryer on hand.
We would recommend this holiday home for good overall living.

A home away from home. Perfect for family with dogs
Dislikes: The downstairs bed was soft for me (but my husband loved it).
Likes: perfect for dogs and kids; 4 spacious bedrooms (kids loved having their own rooms) . Good price over half term. Great garden with trampoline and a fantastic garage at back (the den with sofa and air hockey table) . Utility room handy. Lots for kids to do (board games, loads of dvds, puzzles). Dog bowls in cupbarods so really catered for dogs. Spa Bath the whole family loved. Brilliant host who provided lots of info on the house and location. The kids didn't want to leave. Gorgeous views! We have booked again for the summer

Very pleasant property with good access to Dawlish and Teignmouth. Slightly marred by bedding which was old and either not 100% clean or stained. I would recommend bedding renewed to enhance the overall experience.
I spoke to Rory about this and he was understanding and helpful. This is not a 'massive' issue but friendly feedback.

Lovely short break
We were very happy with the house. It was clean, well equipped and most importantly the garden was secure for our dog. Rory texted before we arrived to make sure we had all the details we needed. Would definitely stay here again, even though the walk back from the sea is quite steep! Thank you for making our stay fuss free and enjoyable.

Lovely experience for a family holiday
Had a lovely stay here, although wasn't aware just how steep the hill the house was located on. Quite a struggle when your 7 months pregnant, however location of house wasn't ideal for us this time- there are loads of local places to visit via train, boat or car so we had lots of lovely family days out from teignmouth! :)
House is fairly clean, however clearly allows pets which we will consider for future reference when staying somewhere.
Matress' are uncomfortable and duvets are very heavy so get hot very quickly! None of us slept well all week apart from the 2 year old! Also seagulls nesting on the roof so young birds kept everyone awake if the windows were open. This also meant couldn't use the garden facilities much as territorial parents nearby.
Highchair and travel cot included which saved alot of hassle travelling down with. And also washing machine and tumble dryer was a great added bonus!
Had problem with electrics however communication with owner was fantastic and resolved very quickly!
Overall we did enjoy ourselves! And great that the house could accommodate 7 of us! House had basic facilities for you to go off exploring for the day! :)

We were able to unpack as soon as we arrived. Freshly made beds, towels ready, tea, coffee, sugar and toilet rolls all supplied. We felt very much at home. Will definitely stay here again.

Not very happy
House was dirty and the beds had a weird smell so we all had to wash the bed sheet before we used it. There were few blanket thrown on living room sofa and found out the sofa was torn and pets hair was all over. I wasnt very happy with it

Spacious property with a helpful host
The property was easy to find and well situated. It’s spacious inside, and all the bedsheets etc were clean and hygienic. Rory, the owner, was extremely helpful and stayed in contact by text to check we’d arrived safely. All in all, I’d say the house represents good value for money.

Excellent.
As a family of 6, and travelling 6-7 hours with 3 children and newborn it was amazing to arrive and be able to get straight in and settle, the house was beautiful, clean and tidy and had everything we needed, and Rory the owner was very polite and welcoming. We come to Teignmouth on a regular basis to visit family, and the location of the accomadation was perfect, also the trampoline was a godsend, kept my 8 year old entertained for hours. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful property, if we were able to use for a 7 day week in the future we would definantly book again.

Great place to stay only a few minutes from the town centre
Well equipped, immaculate property only a 5 minute drive from the town centre in a nice, quiet residential street. It was ideal for a weekend SCUBA diving trip to Teignmouth. Comfortable, spacious, with everything on-hand you may need. The owner was communicative and helpful, providing pleasant and clear instructions for access and departure. Perfect for our needs - we intend to stay again on our next trip! Thank you.
