Check in with Megan @ the front desk was great. She was very knowledgeable & informative. She made the check in process very easy & pleasant. The resort & its grounds are very beautiful. Our room was very comfy & we enjoyed the delivers of the ground’s & harbor.

Beautiful location. Very nice staff, good food and very restful. Nice rooms and big pretty lobby. Coffee shop was friendly and nice seasonal coffees. We enjoyed our visit. Wedding venue locations were pretty and well run.

Everything was really nice until we found a dirty sock under the top sheet/comforter. Was really kind of gross.

We have stayed here many times and the room locations can be quite a walk from where you park your car. I asked for an easily accessible room because I was recovering from a broken back. The room I was assigned to required entering Building 3 - walking almost the full length - and then entering Building 2 where our room was located. Not very accessible at all! Further, we had not TV in our room. Front Desk promised to issue a 10% discount because of this and I am still waiting to see it.

All great. Do wish they had microwaves on room.

Large older resort property with great views and impressive grounds. Some wear and maintenance issues, but still a nice place and good value.
4.1
It was fine but was a little disappointed the outdoor pool closes at 8pm and the tub was clogged up so when we showered the tub filled with water and it’s gross standing in it.
4.1
Excellent and comfortable stay. Comfortable room and beds. Loved the kids pool for the family.

We’ve been staying here for several years for a quick getaway before school starts, as it’s conveniently close to home. However, we continue to face issues with check-in each time. This year was particularly frustrating, as some rooms weren’t ready until 6 p.m., despite a 4 p.m. check-in time, which isn’t guaranteed. It’s challenging when check-out is at 11 a.m. The hotel appeared to be understaffed in several areas. On the positive side, we did receive a $50 room credit, and the indoor and outdoor pools are excellent and family-friendly. Just be prepared for some potential frustrations.

All the kid activities, and the walks around the hotel. The hotel inside was old and u could hear an see the floor move when stairs were in use. Lots of spider webs. Fridge in room was not working correctly. Toilet was dirty when we arrived.

Property is older, pool closed early, not modern front desk very rude

Room was clean. Bed too soft and lumpy. No bathroom exhaust fan. Buffet was too expensive for what you get. The air conditioner kept dropping down to 60 degrees by itself.

The wait to check in or for things were too long and I mean two hours to check in and waiting for rooms to be inspected took too long. The Restaurant 240 should be given a 0 star rating. No AC there or in lobby but the worst was lack of knowledgeable staff at restaurant and no manager on duty. The worst Restaurant experience I have ever had. Sammy’s which is more like a diner in Woolworth had much better food and service.

This stay was intended to be a relaxing mother-daughter spa treat but instead it was more like the 80’s John Candy movie Summer Vacation. It’s a rundown place and feels more like an old apartment complex than a 4 star resort. It’s looks like a good place for families - we saw lots of families with tired dads lugging too much kid stuff and angry moms shouting. Pools were full and had a lot of that white scum buildup - we didn’t even bother swimming because of the grime and vibe. The walls are super thin so we could hear everyone around us and every time a door was shut our wall rattled. The balcony is shared across the hallway of rooms which is not that big of a deal except we had people hanging out in front of ours - right in front of the windows where they could watch us on our beds and it was so awkward. We got room service breakfast and the pancakes and toast were burnt - like charred black. When I called to let them know they just said “okay, I’ll let them know.” And that was it. The spa mani/pedis we got were okay - not worth the $120 each at all. Would recommend staying somewhere else if you’re splurging for a relaxing resort/spa getaway.

Lovely grounds, beautiful spa and great town. Nice for a getaway weekend or mid week stay away from city life.

There was no air conditioning in the lobby, main restaurant, the bar and the café. It was unbearable and I was not alerted before doing the reservation.
The staff said that it was Expedia’s responsibility to alert me of this situation, not the resort. Also, they they didn’t

Rude Manager on duty. The room was not ready on time. Air conditioning was out in some areas including restaurant. Overpriced. Pool was disgusting. Will never stay there again.

They resort, room, restaurants, pools and spa were all fantastic!

Love the resort feel but the rooms really need some work. This is the second time we have had a room with a very loud air conditioner. Almost to the point of keep us awake. Also the lighting in the room and bathroom is awful. So dim you can barely see

Everyone working at the Abbey is friendly and helpful.

We stay here frequently throughout the year and love it. This time we were quite surprised to learn the air conditioning was broken in Bar West and 240 West. We love coming down to listen to the piano player in Bar West to conclude our evenings. The two nights we were there it was almost unbearable due to the heat. I can only hope this will be fixed as quickly as possible.

Enjoyed a spa day. Beautiful spa and services

We've been to the Abbey once before in the winter and we really liked it. We booked a summer trip and booked a pool view, I will say the pool view was disappointing because we barely had visibility to it but not a huge deal. The options of an indoor and outdoor pool in the summer is nice. There was some rowdiness by adults and kids in the indoor pool as well as the kids pool even knowing kids were around but again, it was something we were able to deal with. Not really any shopping nearby so as long as you are looking for a resort where you don't have to leave, this is perfect. The rooms are beautiful and staff is very pleasant.

we'll let me start by saying we are being staying at the Abbey Resort for a few times to celebrate the 4th of July and see the fireworks. fireworks were great .

I’ve always loved Abbey and Avani Spa! They recently renovated and I like it even more!
4.1
The food available at the bar was terrible and overpriced. A $60 tab for plastic glasses of wine , cold salmon and frozen grocery store french fries. I was very disappointed.
4.1
The matrress was terrible - very uncomfortable. And we called to see if we could get feather or down pillows and were told that the resort does not carry them. Pillows were also very uncomfortable. Many people at the pool were saying the same thing.
We went to the Waterfront on Sunday late afternoon for a few drinks and appetizers. The staff was incredibly rude and the service was terrible. Not once did our server ask if everything was OK with our order and we had to track him down to try and pay our bill. The girl who sat us was very rude. Overall, we had an ok time at the Abbey, but the resort seems rundown from our previous visits and not convenient at all when you’re located on the second floor and need to carry up and down all of your luggage to and from the parking lot. The neighbors on our floor were also not happy about this. We will definitely try other resorts in the area vs. staying at the Abbey again.

Staff was excellent. They were caring and so very helpful. The room was clean and so very nice.
4.1
The resort was beautiful. The layout was convenient, you're in a short walking distance to all the attractions. Staff were mostly pleasant. I just wish I were given a breakdown of the amenities included in my package and their general areas.
4.1
Unfortunately the Abbey has gone downhill since the 80’s and 90’s. Pool was dirty. Heater broken. Waitress at Waterfront was more interested in flirting with other staff than checking on us. Our chicken tortilla soup was inedible. She didn’t offer to take it off the bill or give us a free drink or dessert. Wallpaper peeling, ceilings stained. Still expensive.
4.1
It was nice and clean
4.1
The Abbey is a nice resort that definitely needs some improvements. We had to change rooms because our air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep. The bathroom was very dark and missing a toilet seat cover. The chairs at the pool were in very poor condition and uncomfortable. The staff was nice and the area was beautiful
