Need to get NEW BEDS, the one we slept in was a little uncomfortable because of the indentation in the middle of the bed, beside that everything els was excellent the food was good and the staff was very helpful. We will be back next year for thanksgiving.

When we arrived in our room, the toilet was spraying in the tank so the toilet seat and floor were wet. We called the front desk and they were prompt to put us in another room. Other than the inconvenience of that, our stay was great. It is an older resort, but they have maintained and updated. It is a beautiful resort in a beautiful setting. We would love to come back again in the summer.

Quick one night stay. The place is big so initially its hard to find the right room. Nice property and great deal in the off season

Check in with Megan @ the front desk was great. She was very knowledgeable & informative. She made the check in process very easy & pleasant. The resort & its grounds are very beautiful. Our room was very comfy & we enjoyed the delivers of the ground’s & harbor.
2.5
Beautiful location. Very nice staff, good food and very restful. Nice rooms and big pretty lobby. Coffee shop was friendly and nice seasonal coffees. We enjoyed our visit. Wedding venue locations were pretty and well run.

Everything was really nice until we found a dirty sock under the top sheet/comforter. Was really kind of gross.

Too expensive. The spa attached has separate rules like you cannot use pool or sauna unless you pay $40 per day if you want a massage .$250 at spa only one slot available s as c no yoga not sure when instructor will return for weekend . At resort a cheap appetizer was $52. So even though I came with a friend we just explored area found nearby massage at crescent moon $10@ for hour more reasonable just like we ordered pizza from busn 35 mins away and we used the second restaurant on site the water front was okay for casual dining. They tend to cater to private events that arrived on thurs and Fri for weekend but yes just relaxing the site and marina are beautiful and just be

The customer service was outstanding
4.0
Quiet & comfortable, but needs some updating to paint, wood condition around door and windows, loud AC & bathroom fan. Lighting in the room is pretty poor. TV stations (several local ABC, CBS, NBC) not received or poor signal messages (even though weather was clear)
Beds were fine & shower pressure good. Indoor pool & whirlpool were very nice. No problems parking.

We have stayed here many times and the room locations can be quite a walk from where you park your car. I asked for an easily accessible room because I was recovering from a broken back. The room I was assigned to required entering Building 3 - walking almost the full length - and then entering Building 2 where our room was located. Not very accessible at all! Further, we had not TV in our room. Front Desk promised to issue a 10% discount because of this and I am still waiting to see it.

Amazing resort

All great. Do wish they had microwaves on room.

Large older resort property with great views and impressive grounds. Some wear and maintenance issues, but still a nice place and good value.

We really enjoyed the spa services we had.

This property is beautiful. The upgraded facilities, the view of the lake, the dining and the rooms were very nice. A few points of improvement would be the shampoo/conditioner and soap was absolutely terrible. Small, didn’t smell good and none of the shampoo or soap lathered. They need to come up in times with that. The beds were rather hard as well. We all had sore hips and knees after sleeping on those beds.

It was clean and the staff were friendly. Hot tub outside wasn’t clean and didn’t work properly

Very expensive for a very average stay

The Abbey has both indoor and outdoor pools. Two restaurants and activity rooms for kids. Many small areas with windows adjacent to the harbor to just sit and relax.

Enjoyed the location and adult pool. The pool side grill needed additional staff. There was only one person working on a day it was over 90 degrees with long lines to get drinks and food. The person working was very polite and was working hard.

Beautiful grounds and the best beds ever!

The property was conveniently located and offered several amenities including adults only pool and large spa. However, the property is antiquated and could use updating. It was obvious our room used to be a smoking room and was no refurbished properly.

Great for a few easy poolside days with the kids.

The Abbey was quiet, beds are comfortable, great breakfast buffet which is reasonable priced.

It was fine but was a little disappointed the outdoor pool closes at 8pm and the tub was clogged up so when we showered the tub filled with water and it’s gross standing in it.

You know, many nay sayers will tell you this place is old & outdated; whatever. Yes, it’s been around a while, BUT. It’s still got beautiful well maintained grounds, excellent restaurants & the Spa? C’mon.
We’ve been coming 2 years in a row now. We WILL go again next year!! We love it!
BTW, it’s not outdated. Rustic in style, modern in capabilities. Learn the floor plan & enjoy. 👍

Pool side King room was beautiful and convenient to pool area

My stay was very nice with no complaints. I had a harbor view room, which was also very nice. The parking situation to get to my building was a little odd, but other than that, I had a great experience and I will be returning.

very nice stay, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a superb location, but unfortunately the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathroom was dated and the tiles in the shower were black in areas, the lighting was dark (and I love muted lighting!). Overpriced for the standard of room.

Very nice property and great amenities

We stayed at the Abbey for two nights. When we arrived, the room was not very clean. There was trash in the waste baskets. On the second day, we came back to our room around 3:00, the room was still not clean. I went to the front desk and asked if our room was going to be cleaned. They responded that they only clean it after we check out. This is not the level of service that I expect from a resort that charges $350/night.

The air conditioning in the restaurants was on so high that we all had the shivers, food got cold quickly and rushed through meals just to get out of the frozen tundra quickly.
2.5
Excellent and comfortable stay. Comfortable room and beds. Loved the kids pool for the family.

We’ve been staying here for several years for a quick getaway before school starts, as it’s conveniently close to home. However, we continue to face issues with check-in each time. This year was particularly frustrating, as some rooms weren’t ready until 6 p.m., despite a 4 p.m. check-in time, which isn’t guaranteed. It’s challenging when check-out is at 11 a.m. The hotel appeared to be understaffed in several areas. On the positive side, we did receive a $50 room credit, and the indoor and outdoor pools are excellent and family-friendly. Just be prepared for some potential frustrations.
