Convenient and clean. Small room but very efficient and convenient to downtown venues and restaurants.

Neat concept. Poor execution. The hotel is in a great location. However, there is no dedicated parking. Decor is beautiful in the historic structure. But the walls are paper thin. I could hear the tv in the adjacent room better than I could hear the tv in my room. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before booking. If I had, I would’ve stayed elsewhere.

Clean, comfortable, great location. Excellent hotel

My only complaint was the wall are paper thin. The guy in the room beside us snored. We could also hear the neighbors talking.
4.4
There was some people right above us making lots of noise u til after 11 pm. We complained twice and ut got worse.
Also there was no hot water. We had to take cold showers

The location is great for walking to attractions, restaurants, and UNA campus. There is no designated parking so you take your chances on finding something close by. The wrong time of day can have the nearest spot 3 blocks or more away. The bed was very comfortable and the linens high quality. There is no table in the room to place a laptop or set your cup down and no dresser so you can't unpack. All this was workable but the lighting in the room and the bath was horrible for reading, applying makeup, etc. The worst was the tub/shower. The tub was 15 inches deep, very slippery and there was no grab bar to hang on to to get in or out. Both my wife and I found it dangerous enough that our last day there we skipped taking a shower.

Amazing place to stay great staff.

I had a third floor room facing a main street (not far from a university). Loud music and cars almost all night long. When the bars closed at around 2:00 a.m., loud yelling, screaming and cursing for the next hour or so. There is a bar located in the basement of the hotel. Patrons evidently go outside to the street in front of the hotel and smoke cigarettes and pot. Loud talking AND the odor of cigarettes and pot could be heard (and smelled) in the room.
For almost $300/night, I expect more. I will not stay here again.

Nice place good service. The ceiling was leaking in the bathroom. Couldn't take a shower due to conditions. When I told the staff they said they were going to fix it. I hope you don't leave it like that. I would have liked a sorry what could we do to make it right. Nah just we going to fix it. Cool I'll still stay there again because you can't beat the location.

Very old building converted to a hotel. The history of the building was awesome to learn. The room is small but enough for what needed, shower & sleeping. The walls are very thin, our last night they had guest on one side of us at midnight and on the other side at 1am. I could hear everything going on in both rooms. Not much sleep that night.

Awesome beds clean bathrooms had a great sleep. I give this hotel 10 out of 10.

I like the neighborhood. It is cozy and quiet.

Very quiet & comfortable! Eat breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast! Yummy! Guests get free coffee & soft drink there.

Great stay, we were a little confused about the parking since we are not from the area but we call and they got us straightened out quickly at the desk. Room was very clean and comfy! Would stay here again. BBB is always the highlight of our trips which is right down stairs!

Love the place but AC in rooms not cool enough.
4.4
Pleasant historical building in a convenient downtown location.

No designated parking. You have to park at meters, if you were to get a ticket, you would take it to the front desk.
“Since Covid, we no longer clean rooms on a daily basis. You can request it if you would like us to clean your room or if you need more linen. “
Cute boutique hotel. Room is smaller than what pictures show. Great location.

This property is so adorable! The room has updated lighting fixtures, beautiful exposed brick, and nice hardwood floors. The location is right downtown. However, on a Saturday night, it was noisy. You can hear young people going to bars, and there are either loud motorcycles or souped up cars driving by. Also there are no black out curtains so with the noise, sleep was a challenge. In addition, there is no parking. Despite these things, I'd definitely stay again on a week day because of the cuteness factor and very nice staff.

We normally enjoy staying here when we visit Florence. We love the building and location and it's always clean. However, on this particular stay, each morning the cleaning personnel starting cleaning out the rooms surrounding our room at 8:30am..dragging furniture across the floor, slamming trash cans down, and even talking loudly to each other while in the room adjacent to ours. The walls seem paper thin and you can hear everything. Not everyone wakes up at the crack of dawn. We come to Florence to visit my Gf's family and we normally stay for 2-3 days at a time. We enjoy the Florence nightlife. We expect to be able to sleep in and not be woken up early by cleaning/noise for a room that doesn't even need to be ready until 2pm for check in! The hotel should be more aware of clients who are still in their room resting in the morning and NOT service those rooms adjacent u til a reasonable hour (check out is 11am!)The number one reason we get a hotel is to SLEEP and even sleep in. The hotel staff had NO awareness or courtesy 2 mornings in a row. Also, there is an access door that loudly slams every time anyone goes through it. That also contributes to the unwanted noises in the mornings. The hotel should put thin felt strips around the inner door frame to decrease the slamming noise it makes. If you do stay here, and you wish to enjoy your morning by sleeping in I suggest getting a room at the far end of a hallway and GOOD LUCK!

The Stricklin Hotel is a beautiful property. The staff were very exceptional and everything was clean. This Hotel is conveniently located and surrounded by a variety of yummy foods and entertainment. Too much noise between rooms.

Will definitely stay again

We love the restaurants and coffee shops near the Stricklin Hotel and the location is excellent! The only downside are the people that come to play concert venue loud music from their motorcycles late into Saturday night on Court Street. I’m not sure why this is a thing, but it makes the room feel bar loud at midnight with random high decibel music playing. My suggestion is to ask for a room as far from Court Street as possible if you’re staying there on the weekend and if you don’t have windows, be thankful.

Very clean hotel and great location for exploring downtown Florence
4.4
The room was spacious, great decor, great view onto the Main Street.
The only downside is the hotel not having car parking and needing to find a space on the street.
Overall definitely recommend staying here!
