Close to everything we needed, winery’s, hiking, Giant City our SIU student. Yet far enough away in a quiet quant cabin south of Carbondale. We will be back.

Property was accessible. The shower was great. The cabin was in a great location, close to lots of different activities. The furniture was easy to move to meet our needs. Steve was super responsive when we had an issue, and he fixed it right away!

We came down to visit friends and the cabins were great to come back to each night . The cabins are close to town but far enough away . I enjoyed a peaceful sit on the deck and a nice walk . The management responds quickly to any question and it was really easy to check in and out. I will say if you are shorter person like myself bring a stool the bed is kinda high.

Had a wonderful stay at Cabin #1. Well supplied and comfortable. Great location. Perfect for our quick weekend in Southern Illinois.

The cabin is in a convenient location near town and parks. The first night we had an issue with hot water. We contacted the owner and he quickly resolved the issue. We would recommend this place to our family and frends.

Everything about this place was perfect. The new white living room furniture kind of took me out of the cabin feel but comfy nonetheless. The brand new mattress in the big bedroom was a dream. The mattress on the futon it's too stiff to sleep on. The smaller bedrooms mattress was decent. All the supplies in the kitchen was great to have. We had already started planning next year's trip and staying at these cabins before we even left. Highly recommend.

It was good for the price. Nice size. I didn't like that our cottage was made to accommodate someone in a wheelchair. No one in my party was in a wheelchair. The bathroom sink had no place to put your items because it was all made to accommodate a wheelchair. No bathtub because it was a handicap shower. Also, there was no stove. The owner should provide some kind of portable plug in electric or infrared stove top, some pots and pans, so people can cook. Otherwise, everything was good.

I am a picky person when it comes to where I lay my head at night. This was an amazing property and we will continue to stay at these cabins each time we come to Illinois to visit our daughter and grandchildren,

I rented this cabin for a short Saturday to Monday stay while waiting to pick up my kids from a nearby summer camp. Cabin was comfortable but spacious, with a great little deck off to the side. All the amenities you could need for a weekend and close to Carbondale and limitless outdoor options.

The pictures of this cabin don’t do it justice. It was such a nice, clean property in a nice area of town. The host gave us all of our check-in information far in advance and even included a snack basket for us. There were little amenities that were nice to have such as some board and card games and a grill outside. We enjoyed taking walks around the property in the evening and sitting out on the deck. We’d recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing cabin getaway!

Cabin was clean and nicely decorated. EVERYTHING one could need was furnished. Location was near enough to Carbondale but still felt "woodsy" . Be sure to check out the night sky. I've never seen so many stars.

We enjoyed picking blackberries along the golf course and walking the dog around the pond. Very conveniently located close to Giant City and Carbondale. We had fun! Watch out for ticks.

This cabin was great! It was like we landed in Oz after the cabin we stayed in for two nights right before this. It was spacious, comfortable, and the location was absolutely perfect for visiting giant city. Also, very close to Carbondale for hopping into town for anything you need or to go to a restaurant. The host was super nice and very accommodating. We’d definitely stay here again when in the area. Thanks for a great stay!!

The Cabins at Stine Creek were conveniently located amid the 11 wineries on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, so the location was excellent. Our two bedroom cabin was roomy and comfortable with more than adequate space for 4 guests. Our host was very accommodating, as we had a last minute change by adding two guests and their truck and camper, which he granted us permission at no extra charge. We're already planning our next stay and will hopefully have our children and grandchildren join us.

This cabin was nice, quiet, and very clean. The whole family, including our dogs, loved it! It was close to everything we wanted to experience and the Wine Trail. We just wish we could have stayed a couple more nights. We highly recommend this place!

Here's the thing: when we arrived at Stone's Throw, we discovered the roof had leaked; water was standing in the living room; bedroom carpets were soaked. Bad rain earlier that week. Steve immediately moved us to another fabulous property in Alto Pass w/ no rate increase -- he couldn't have been more accommodating. So he gets a 5-star rating across the board despite our not being able to review the property we booked!

Right next to golf course close to many lakes and Giant City and Carbondale. I'll be back. Could use some minor repairs.

The pictures don't show how cute this place is! Very clean, well equipped and quiet. We came to visit our son who goes to SIU, and it was the perfect place to lay our heads, yet close enough to help our son. We also had our dog with us, he liked it too! Cozy, clean, quiet, we will definitely be back. Thanks Steve!

Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! We were in the area to return two kids to SIU and it was nice to be able to end our day in the comfort of this location. The beds were comfortable, every room was emasculate and tastefully decorated. The boys really appreciated the snacks that were in the room, too! Thank you for being so helpful! We had a great time!
