Great place! COMFY couch. We had a wonderful getaway. Would definitely love to go back!!

Property was mostly clean but we found most of our towels wet in the washer so I had to dry fold and distribute.
Fireplace didn’t work called maintenance they were responsive and nice but didn’t fix the problem.
Overall good stay easy check in and communication but it was too bad we didn’t have as fire as that’s where we spent our time.
Also PUT SOME BLINDS ON TNE WINDOWS LOL !

Really nice property with an open floor plan that allowed for a lot of family time together. We especially liked how the dining room was open and attached to living room with fireplace so our entire family of 9 were able to be together. Excellent location to top of slopes. We actually walked 1 street over and hopped on slope with our pre rented skis and skiid down the mountain. Rode the lift back up when we were done and walked home. Wonderful time. Will stay again.

We loved how clean and open we found this home and the daylight streaming in. Our grandson enjoyed a bubble bath in the jetted tub in the master bathroom and all of the games in the game room, plus the air hockey table. There are 3 levels. The uppermost level has an open hallway overlooking the living room which our grandson also enjoyed. We had a nice stay and I would have given this place 5 stars but I missed any mention of the lack of a particular amenity. We attend the GM Highland Games each year as our family has competitors in dancing and athletic competitions and my husband serves as a Scottish American Military Color Guard. We needed ice and filtered water and although the fridge has an ice-maker and water dispenser, the water line is not connected. Is this due to the tight space & placement of the fridge/freezer unit or perhaps the owners only want to protect their wood floors? That is completely understandable! Had we been aware, our trip up the mountain would have first included a stop at the grocery store for ice and a filtered water pitcher! For those who check out on Sunday, also be aware that the designated trash site is closed then. No alternate site was given. We had no choice but to leave our trash in the garage. Instructions should be clear as to how to lock the garage doors. Bears can easily open them. The house would be perfect with the addition of an ice-maker/water filter installed in the basement if the one in the kitchen remains unavailable. It’s a really lovely place and should, with just a few adjustments, earn 5 stars.

We loved it here! There is not a detail forgotten when it comes to having the most comfortable and relaxing stay. We were able to enjoy all of the space with plenty of fun areas for the kids to explore. Loved our stay. We will definitely be back!

This was such a fun weekend. The cabin was great for a big family. The main floor master was amazing, and the upstairs has it's own master with an additional bedroom. The teenage boys stayed downstairs having a blast playing air hockey and ping pong when they weren't skiing (the slope was only a 5 minute drive). Everything was very clean and the updated kitchen was gorgeous. The views from the cabin were so pretty, I didn't want to leave! We are already planning our next stay at Amber and Scot's incredible home. Thanks for the great memories!

Loved: The views from the home, the size of the home and yard to play in snow, the game room, the double thermostats for the second and third levels, the size of the beds, deer that we saw in the back yard, the distance to skiing, the decor, and amount of kitchen supplies.
Concerns: Upon arrival the doors and windows were all unlocked which was a little unsettling, but my husband went in and made sure it was clear before we all went in.
Inconvenience: There was no mention of the hours for the local dump to take trash so when we went on Wednesday it was closed and we had to drive all the way to Boone so we didn't have trash in the back of our SUV all day. (Google didn't even show correct hours for the dump on Sugar Mountain).
Cleanliness: There were cans and cigarette butts on the balcony when we arrived, grease in the bottom of the oven, confetti all under the sofa, dust and what appeared to be dog hair in some parts of the home (maybe someone brought a service dog in the past, who knows.), comforters didn't appear to be washed, however, I always bring our own blankets and sheets so that wasn't too big of a deal, but may be for someone else who has to use the provided blankets, and the dishwasher was piled with wet dishes and some dishes didn't even appear washed.
Minor complaints: There aren't any blinds on the bedroom windows and the sun shines right in so not nice for someone who might want to sleep in on vacation, refrigerator will freeze your food even at a lower temp, and the game room area is always freezing.
Overall, the home was great and would definitely recommend. It was already mentioned in the listing, but please be sure to have a 4WD vehicle because the driveway is very steep.

We arrived on January 2nd, 2023 at 4:30 pm after driving from Florida. The house had confetti everywhere, not to mention when we turned on the fan, more confetti came down on our heads!! We had dirty sheets on every bed, peanut shells and sugar all over the counters. There was dirt everywhere, and not one towel in any bathroom. We called customer service and asked for a cleaning crew to come or a comparable house to transfer to and we were told they would call us back. After calling three more times, we finally received a call back at 7:30 pm. The manager said that the inspector stopped by and tidied up the house, because there weren't enough cleaning people. My family and I ended up finding cleaning supplies and a vacuum cleaner and started cleaning the house ourselves. We had to wash every sheet for four bedrooms and found the towels in the washing machine. You can imagine how upset we were after driving so long and having to clean a house that should have been clean for us. I hope the people that rented before us get their cleaning fee back since the house was clearly not cleaned. We asked for more towels to be dropped off the next day and ended up having to go into town to the office and pick some up because nobody came with them. The manager refunded our cleaning fee and one night stay. I would never rent from Vacasa again.
