The house was lovely
But during the summer, early June, it was very very hot with no air conditioning in the main house. They should add some AC or an attic fan to suck out the very hot air in the bedrooms. It was hard to sleep.

Overall a great stay. Loved that there were plenty of towels, dishes, glasses, coffee cups blankets, pillows and tp! Location is gorgeous! Train viewing area and patio are great. Very peaceful. Pine trees smell wonderful. Chipmonk, bird and lizard viewing a bonus!

We liked the location, having the RR passing behind the unit and its proximity to downtown Durango and grocery stores. Beds were comfortable, towels and toiletries were good quality, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook multiple meals and the gas grill worked well. Neighborhood is quiet. We drove to Ouray one day and the drive is worth it. The Durango Hot Springs were relaxing. Mesa Verde National Park is worth seeing. If you want to do the dwelling tour, you need to get on the website and figure out the ticketing. They get snapped up quickly. Marias's Bookstore in Durango is a great independent book shop. Not realizing there was no AC except for one bedroom, we used every fan. The days got pretty warm.

I was able to get my family to participate in my like Hallmark movie dreams. I got my whole family up to ride the Polar Express in our PJs. We were delighted to find the train comes by in the back yard. The house is beautiful very comfortable amenities. Lots of space the floor plan is amazing and we named it The Tree House! The walking path around the property and up the back yard are fun adventures. Every detail from the management was easy to follow. Truly we loved this home and enjoyed our stay.
