The unit has everything you might need. Bed was comfortable. It is right in the middle of the nightlife of the Gaslamp district. Expect music all night long.

The loft is in a great location and clean. It’s unfortunate that there are so many homeless people, but that’s not the owner’s fault. The street noise is manageable. The property manager could definitely be better and more helpful. The person who helps with your luggage upon arrival is fantastic!

If you are looking for a spacious, convenient rental with character, this is the spot for you. My 3 children (teen/adult) and I stayed here for 4 nights while we visited San Diego. Host, Ben, met us at the drop off point to help with our bags and showed us the ropes for parking and unit features. We had plenty of room to spread out in between excursions. Everything was neat and clean and nicely decorated. Full kitchen with oven, microwave, coffee maker, and blender allowed us to eat some of our meals there (including re-heating restaurant leftovers). The dishwasher was out of order, so had to wash dishes by hand, but not a big deal. Ralph's grocery is just a few blocks away for groceries/snacks/beverages (including beer, wine, & liquor). Washer and dryer was also nice to have in the unit. We had full disclosure about the night noise, so we were already prepared for that. There was a sound machine in both sleeping areas as well as individually packaged sets of earplugs to help drown out the noise. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as we expected, and everyone was still able to get a good night's sleep. We had a car rental and use of the parking garage was super handy. Walking distance to Petco Park and lots of restaurants, too. If you want the amenities of a big hotel chain (fitness room, housekeeping, room service etc) you might not appreciate this rental. But if you enjoy the charm and character of an older building, you'll love this place!

Cool and quirky property (old building, not lush or fancy--but cool and quirky nonetheless). The neighborhood is active and potentially loud (It's not like living on Bourbon Street, but it's not NOT like living on Bourbon Street either). I was in town for an event at the convention center (easy 10-15 minute walk). I also went for a run in Balboa Park (easily accessible). All in all, I would recommend the property and will rebook if the occasion calls for it.

This location is great and the apartment is absolutely beautiful. The interior is spacious and full of light. The only "aw shucks" was the loud music from the club across the street, but if you can handle some ambient street noise, this place is perfect. It was just a few blocks to the marina, the convention center and the ballpark. We got to know the street car system and used that to get around. Be sure to eat at Tacos El Gordo for a great late night experience. Overall, we just loved this place.

Ben was great and made everything easy communication wise during our stay. The apartment is located in Gaslamp, so it can definitely get a bit noisy at night. That being said, if you’re looking to enjoy the nightlife and be downtown, this is a great spot. They also were great hosts!

If you're looking for a central location in the Gaslamp District this is a good one. We walked easily to Petco Park for a Padres game. Walked down to the Maritime Museum and the Midway. Plenty of great restaurants close by with outside dining. The street is closed off to vehicles late afternoon through the evening which made walking easy.
Closed down businesses on the block makes the area look a little run down. Night clubs across the street were a little loud at times but did not disturb out sleep. Having a parking pass to a garage one block away was great. The room was spacious, updated and well kept. The only negative was the 3 beds in the bedroom made closing the bedroom door impossible.

Really fun area, great place and awesome host. The noise stays poppin till 2am and the host provides earplugs which will be needed on weekends.
