Exceptional
A really lovely accommodation, beautiful surrounding and nice touches with the prosecco egg & milk. Communication from the hosts was great Thank you we would definitely recommend and stay again

Beautiful cottage- lovely surroundings, but disappointed that host hadn't checked the bed or cobwebs
Location was lovely and peaceful - easy to get around.
I had booked the cottage with a rayburn, which provided heating and cooking (oil central heating) and expected the stone cottage to be cosy. Unfortunately we were telephoned by the host from Greece (the morning we arrived off the ferry apologising that the rayburn had broken down and she was providing electric fan heaters. I felt sorry for her as I thought it had just happened so assured her it would be ok. After a sleepless night due to the bed not being secured and creaking constantly, I phoned the owner and then learned that the rayburn had stopped working several weeks before and she had tried unsuccessfully to tighten the bed. My husband tightened the bed and although I appreciate that by leaving on the heaters she had provided, the place was warm enough, it wasn't the same experience as a rayburn which gives an all round heat especially with 4 outside doors to the living room of the stone cottage and a staircase up to the bedrooms. By telling me at the last minute I wasn't given a choice and in hindsight I would have much preferred a cottage with a woodburner. Even though Sykes understood and sympathised they offer no protection as simply a booking agent and I didn't like the dismissive attitude of the host and the description of the Rayburn was still current during my stay.
