Good place, could be excellent with a few improvements

Our host Nhlaka was amazing. Our room was clean and beautiful. The location was great The air-conditioning 100

Not convenient emnities in the room. These would've given the place 10/10: - phone in the room - tea & coffee station - bar fridge - small microwave The pool was dirty!

We asked to arrive at 1pm but when we got there no one could open for us and they were not answering their phone .When the lady actually came she told us that our check in is at 2Pm and they still needed to touch up the rooms.The rooms were actually stuffy and you could tell they were not prepared,kitchen not clean and I feel all the stuff there should have been washed before we arrived .To make matters worse the kitchen door was broken so we couldn’t close it for the rest of the night .I would say the house overall is nice but needs some maintenance and someone to ensure that the house is clean .They actually don’t answer the phone at all so if you have a problem no one is at reach .Definitely was not satisfied.

The was water shortage the whole week which caused so much inconvenience. Something that the property had no control over. But it really not a train smash. Having a small bar fridge, microwave and tea facilities in each room will make the stay more pleasant and create so much convenience.

Great stay. Close to Riverside hockey club. Excellent rooms.

Big room and bathroom. Old house wood flooring with the antique furniture gave it a great feeling. Porch is very nice with the big sitting area outside.

Street quite busy during the day and late afternoon. Quiet during the night though.

We had a lovely stay that could have been even better with a few small improvements.

The staff was exceptional, they were friendly and very helpful. The place was kept clean at all times. The hot breakfast was really nice. Overall it is a lovely property, with amazing staff and is conveniently located.

The breakfast was nice but it lacked variety e.g. an alternative such. as a fruit salad would have been nice if you don't prefer cereal and an alternative to scrambled eggs such as an omelet would also have been nice. There wasn't a bar fridge in the room so you needed to go down to the kitchen every time you need to store something in the fridge or get a cold glass of water/ice. There was also no coffee/tea crockery in the room either so you needed to ask the staff to make you a cup and bring it up for you every time you wanted a cup of tea which we found to be an inconvenience.

Exceptional

Loved the decor, very nice and clean. Lovely location. The Manager/Host Vuyi was amazing, nothing was too much, she went over and above to make sure we were comfortable. Loved the breakfast.

The pillows were a too firm. Maybe have both soft and hard pilllows in the rooms.

Our stay at Isoyi

The hotel is well located and the rooms were very clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was always amazing.

I didn't like the fact that there was no bar fridge and a microwave. They need to put a bigger board to show the name of the hotel.

The place is easy to access from CBD.

Bookings.com accepts a late night booking, yet there is no one available to check you in. The listed phone number does not go through, so you better have plan B for the night. I booked for a individuals from out of town and were nearly stranded. Finally managed to get through to the owner on WhatsApp on the listed number, and she was extremely rude for being woken from sleep. She insisted that there are conditions on Bookings.com where they state that they don't accept check in after 10pm. Such conditions are nowhere to be seen. The owner was so rude enough to say "if i can't find someone to open for you, you will have to make another plan". This after confirming the booking and making upfront payments already, for a place that categorically states they "DONT REFUND". On another note, the pool seems to have not been cleaned in a long while. The rooms have neither coffee stations, no bar fridge.... this room was of low standard for a thousand rands per night. The breakfast is Okay.

Exceptional service and a beautiful overall experience 🔥🔥🔥

The beautiful service we received from Vuyi and Zethu was out of this world. They were friendly, kind and very helpful from arrival to departure. The food was incredible I will definitely come back. Nqobile you got amazing stuff members who are passionate and excellent at what they do. Zethu goes beyond the call of duty wanted to come back with her. What an exceptional experience. Vuyi and Zethu assisted my decor lady. Super grateful thank you thank you.

I liked that is it very close to restaurants.

Wish to have had a bar fridge or coffee in the room. The room with the single bed had no curtains and it was extremely cold.

The staff very professional and friendly,

We could've done with bigger bed as we had baby maybe I need to ask if they have cot option in advance next time , It was a double as described so wasn't any errors on their behalf, also kettle for baby's milk in room would've been handy, but the ladies always helped and brought us hot water , They couldn't do enough to help, owners are lucky with staff ,I would go back and bring travel cot next time live and learn ,

What a wonderful stay we had at Esoyi!

Firstly the place is attractive from outside, the garden is refreshing! Then it's the wonderful staff, so welcoming and always willing to help. Did I mention the cleanliness! The place is situated in a prime area in Durban North, shops and restaurants are easily accessible! My husband and I wanted some quiet and tranquil and I must say this place offers exactly this! Esoyi is our home away from home moving forward! Keep it up guys!
