- Spacious suite, good facilities (washing machine, dishwasher)
- Tea, coffee and biscuits provided
- Nice view of town from living room
- Lovely communal areas with games and books, beautiful garden with stream
- Proximity to beach, shops, costal walks
- Pillows not comfortable, would bring my own. Bed otherwise great.
4.5
The quietness and fantastic views, large rooms with beautiful decor. Gorgeous decorative old building with everything you could need. Very comfortable bed and a lovely deep bath in suite 6. No noise could be heard from other guests as walls were very thick. Toilet rolls, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets and a pack of biscuits are provided. Great shower pressure and hot water! Soap was provided as well.
It is a walk up a steepish bank, but that's why it's quiet, so can't complain! Some coat hooks in the hallway and a place to put shoes would be an extra bonus. Some milk in the fridge on arrival would have been great, but literally everything else had been provided.

The apartment was nice and clean, the heater was on low and could not being changed found out after our stay that we had to call the owner to get the heater changed on remote by owner. The disabled parking place was Infront of the door and free what I asked the owner a few weeks ago only he forgot to tell me that the suite was on the on the top floor what he told me 2 days before arrival and told me that is was 2 fly of stairs and about 14/15 steps per fly. It where 6 fly of stairs not 2
The description of The King Suite say when I booked that we had view, Bathtub, a king bed 180-210 wide but not that the suite was on the top floor 6 fly`s of stairs. I told the owner that I was disabled but he never told me that the suite was top floor, 2 days before arriving he told me top floor 2 fly`s of stairs with 14/15 steps not 6 fly`s of stairs. When I contacted him about the stairs, bathtub, size of bed, broken toilet, and the view of a building site on Christmas eve he asked me if I wanted to cancel the booking. Where do you go on Christmas eve and find other accommodation after bringing all your stuff to the top floor 6 fly`s of stairs up. Later he is lying that he offered free cancelation what not even mean you get your money back. The view was the building next door covered in scaffolding wrapped in plastic what made terribly noises in the wind. NO bathtub only bathroom with shower and toilet the other toilet was broken since May 2023 [see review from Barry in May 2023] so what leave you with the toilet in the bedroom where the window don`t open. And the king size bed was 140 cm wide not the 181-210 wide bed what I booked. The lounge down stairs was to cold and could not put heaters up same like the suite. I had to call the owner so he would remotely put the heater up. Timer on the oven broken and the coffee machine was full with mold. Further is this building specially the top floor suites a dead trap because their are no fire escapes and from all the windows only 1 had a key to get the security cable off. The instructions in case of fire is if on the first floor throw soft furniture out the window then jump feet first out window. Bit tricky from the top floor where only one small window opens and the furniture is to big to fit trough the window not even the matrass would fit. The should also be a garden so the dogs could run a bit but nothing was told me that I had to go about a hundred steps down to get to the garden. wife bad

The location and building are lovely and can tell it has been renovated. Bathroom was clean and new and bed was comfy.
The photos of our suite were not advertised on booking.com as we thought there was a bath etc and the rooms were massive but once we were there that was clearly another suite. Which was not made clear to us at time of booking.
Carpets in our garden suite in lounge were dirty. Ur white socks didn't stay white for long and thr sofa was not comfy. The dining table and chairs were old and worn and cobwebs and spiders every where. The oven wasn't clean. We wouldn't stay in suite one again.

Good location with plenty of parking. Right by The Torrs walk which is beautiful and 10/15min walk to the harbour. Great communal space and lovely garden. Comfy bed!
The apartment we stayed in was fine for what we needed, no complaints but it has so much more potential - update the sofa and sort the window :)

Spacious flat with comfy beds and benefit of en-suite main bedroom. Nice terrace to enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine.

The location. The style of the building. Beautiful communal rooms.
Apartment needed repainting. Small niggly things like locks that don't work.

Good facilities, amazing social space and garden.

Beautiful house. The apartments or suites as they’re called are very nice indeed. A short walk down the hill into the town/harbour area makes it a perfect location. No need for your car once you’ve arrived.

Breakfast was not available as the accommodation is self catering. The location is good and close enough to the centre.
The second toilet was useful but for washing and shaving it proved difficult as the sink emptied quite quickly even with the sink plug in. There is a small leak, possibly from the washing machine, under the sink unit.

We loved our stay in suite six at the Regency! Gorgeous building, the apartment on the top floor had great views over Ilfracombe. We stayed for 9 days and were really happy with our choice.
