About this apartment rental

For a uniquely British beach retreat, nothing can beat the North Yorkshire coast. While you can't guarantee the weather, there's something special about the former fishing village of Filey and its Sunday Times award-winning beach. This charming Victorian terraced home offers easy access to this family-friendly destination. On the ground floor, a cosy living room caters to snug evenings, with an extendable antique dining table in the adjacent room for feasts with the whole family. At the back of the home, a spacious kitchen has everything you might need to unleash your culinary creativity. Finally, three first-floor bedrooms ensure plenty of room for everyone to slumber in peace. Step outside to be greeted by the invigorating scent of the sea, tinged with a hint of salt and vinegar that'll have you craving good old-fashioned fish and chips as soon as you arrive. Thankfully, there are around half a dozen establishments within a stone's throw of your front door. After eating your fill, you might want to walk off your lunch with a gentle stroll along the seafront promenade and enjoy breathtaking views over the bay. During the warmer months, its five-mile stretch of sand – sloping gently towards the North Sea – is ideal for the kids and offers plenty of rock pools to investigate. Fancy a change of scenery? The seaside resort of Scarborough lies just a little over seven miles north, with the wilds of the North York Moors National Park beyond that. Home truths: *Access to the home is via a private entrance *Check yourself in on arrival with the lockbox *All three bedrooms are situated on the first floor, so the home may not be suitable for guests with more limited mobility *We'd recommend a car to explore the area fully – there's free street parking available *This is a family home, so you may find some personal effects and locked cupboards used for storage
