Accomodating staff, amazing views!

Amazing views and backyard was spectacular!

Facilities were quite sub-optimal. Probably needs refurbishing and bit of a renovation but regardless would still come again! Staff were amazing

Affordable family accommodation in a great location.

We were driving to Melbourne and arrived late. Our host for the night was waiting for us, and showed us to our rooms. The motel is an older style - almost American - in a long row next to the road. BUT the view in the morning, overlooking rolling hills, down to the estuary. It was lovely. A real holiday find.

Nothing. I really want this business to flourish. The person running it is just a gem.

Great motel in a beautiful town

I was traveling with my dog. Really accommodating and helpful. Had a lot of local knowledge, everything she recommended I really enjoyed. The place was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

We were made to feel very welcome. Staff exceptionally friendly. We would definitely visit again.

Close to everything and great location. The views from our room was beautiful and we saw Lots of wild Kangaroos outside our window. We were given lots of ideas on places to visit and where to go for some great breakfast.

Motel rétro avec vue à couper le souffle

Motel rétro très bien entretenu (les salles de bains ont des couleurs incroyables !). Vue à couper le souffle sur le lagon. Kangourous dans le jardin le soir. Personnel très interessant et aux petits soins.

Good location but the hotel is ‘tired’ and needs to be upgraded for what the average tourist needs today

The attraction of seeing the kangaroos come to feed in the grass on the property.

There is no air conditioning. The fan provided was inadequate and antiquated. When you turn it on, the sound drowns out the sounds of anything else. The sound is similar to a helicopter taking off. The hot water takes ages to come through the pipes to the shower. Such a waste of water in order to have a shower. The electric jug needs replacing as the boiled water tastes very ‘tinny’ and undrinkable. The TV is basic. Most channels had ‘teletext’ on, and couldn’t be turned off. The door to the cupboard didn’t close. There needs to be more accessible Power points. The whole place needs a refurbishment.

worth the price for the views and the wildlife

Great views owner lady was really helpful room a little sparce a few bickies. would have been nice no too sure what it would have been like in hot weather without Airconditioning. owner trying her best. She helped me when I locked the room with the key inside

No aircon just a few little things you get in most motels in this price range.

My stay was comfortable, as usual! I had enjoyed meeting Vicky, the hardworking Owner/Manager. 👍👌

I usually stopped for a night here on my way to Melbourne. The room is clean and basic needs are satisfied. I especially like the private parking outside my room. This is a huge plus. The view from my window towards the bay and the hills is amazing. Sometimes, I saw kangaroos at night, feeding outside in the back garden. NP Motel is under new management, and I believe I will see more improvements. 👍👌

Nothing much. Perhaps, adding face towels and a microwave in the room would help. Vicky is working very hard to add more improvements to Norfolk Pines Motel, Merimbula. Well done! By the way, personally, the wash basin was a little awkward for me. I am kind of tall and bending down, I could not help messing up the floor with dripping water. All the best to you, Vicky👌👍

On the whole it was very clean and adequate for our purposes.

The view was excellent looking over the lake. Kangaroos passing by our window.

Better heating as the one on the wall hardly gave out any heat. The little fan heater was better. No tea towels to dry the dishes and no hot water in the bathroom sink. We were only there for one night so it was alright for us. An electric blanket would have been nice too.

Perfect night away, thanks for the stay

The views were incredible, the rooms are really clean and comfortable. Kangaroos visit at dusk it’s amazing, staff were so lovely and helpful. Would stay again and recommend highly.

Always lovely to stay here, that view is awesome, I always feel so relaxed and ready to tackle work.

The location is superb, beautiful views over the lake and mountains and over the expansive property where Kangaroos come to feed at dusk. The new decor is gorgeous and incredible value for money. The new host Vicki is very welcoming.

Beautiful view from the picture window in room. Lovely outdoor terrace. Great hot shower. Outdoor lighting on the property was dimmed at night including Hotel Sign (thank you) but council street lighting shines in as curtains not blocking out properly. If lights bother you this is a problem. Bed was good but a little firm for me.

The curtains were falling off hooks so not blocking out street lights. Small window above front door weren’t long enough so light shone through. I hung towel over it and the mirror so light wouldn’t bounce off into my face in bed. Pity bed wasn’t at the back of room to enjoy the view. No air con in summer would be awful. Bed too firm for me.

Basic room but all you need for a night or two. Spotless and comfortable.

Location great, basic hotel but had everything we asked for. Views spectacular. Great host .

Great spot for a weekend at the south coast

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the motel was in a good location. I enjoyed sitting in the outdoor area and watching the kangaroos in the evening.
