Charming and rustic. We really enjoyed the whimsy and spaciousness. The living room furniture was very comfortable and tasteful. The shower was great! Shaun was easy to communicate with and very friendly. The outside brick stairs and walkway are very slippery though, especially when at all wet, because of moss and mold that needs to be cleaned. The beds were comfortable, but there were no mattress covers. I don’t think I have ever seen that. Very unhygienic. Also the shower curtain had mildew. Needs to be replaced. all in all a good stay though.

This cabin was such a great and cozy place to stay! My wife and I loved it! It’s a picturesque hidden gem in the heart of Marshall. Less than a 5 minute drive to downtown and the ETBU campus. This historic cabin has a great brick pathway leading up to it and is surrounded by beautiful trees. We’ve found our new place every time we go to Marshall. Shawn, the owner, had great communication and was very helpful. Oh yeah, and the Christmas tree up in June was a bonus! This is the place to stay when in Marshall. You won’t be disappointed!

We spent a couple of days/big nights at Christmas time (2023) in this this historic cabin and it couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a much better value than paying for a hotel room, plus our hosts made sure we had everything we needed. They even had the Christmas tree lights on for us and a log in the fireplace ready for us to set the stage for our country Christmas when we arrived for our stay. Communication was excellent and the cabin was comfy and clean. One warning though - staying here just might make you want a cabin like this one for your very own to call home. :)

Absolutely loved our stay in this quaint historical cottage. The red brick floors, comfy beds, cute bathroom. We also enjoyed looking through some classic old Life and Look magazines. Nice private wooded neighborhood. Very close to downtown Marshall and 20 minutes from Jefferson. Would love to visit again!♥️

Loved our stay at Trammel's Trace Cabin! Lots of decor and wall art make the interior interesting and unique, as well as the historic features. Loved the brick flooring, hand-hewn log & shiplap walls, comfy bed, and beautiful Christmas tree. Wished we could have made a fire in the rustic fireplace, but was just too warm (crazy weather in Texas the end of Dec!) Perfect accommodations for two! Thanks for the great communication and sharing your cozy cabin with us, Shaun!!
