We have stayed at the previous Castle Pollard Hotel several years ago and we loved it.
Wow! We loved the newly refurbished Hotel Varagh, the staff were welcoming and so helpful the hotel was clean and comfortable our room a delight. We commend the efficient and helpful restaurant staff. Location perfect. Car park was gated so our car was safe. We will be definitely booking for next year. A big thank you to all the managers and staff. 😀
Nothing to dislike.

Lovely cosy feeling to it, lovely room everything was spotless. I’m a very picky person who gets extremely homesick when away from my own bed and comfort but felt a very warm feeling from this hotel the bed was very comfy the room was done very modern with a touch of warm, felt really nice, also the food was amazing, lovely staff lovely area to go to right near fore, absolutely love it and would definitely stay here again, I plan to again , thank you,
the only thing I could complain about was the phone bell ringing in the middle of the night it was because i was in the last room and was beside the ringing machine I think it was people trying to get in this door in the night I’m not too sure. maybe there is a way to try fix that? but the place apologised and fixed it quickly

Beautiful property and the rooms were large and comfortable. With a. Family room it was two rooms together which was very nice.
They could use more staff. Everyone was lovely and helpful but seemed a bit overworked and trying to do everything.

The person at the reception desk and also served at the bar was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bar/resteraunt had been renovated to a high standard.
Someone had a Karaoke in the bar area. It was awful.....probably the worst and loudest I've ever heard. While I was at the bar, two locals came and left because of the awful noise.
I had to go to reception at 01.00hrs to as them to turn off the din, as there was no sleep to be got the noise was so loud.
I went down for breakfast in the morning that breakfast would be served at 08.30 instead of 07.30 as advertised. I asked the person in charge if the front door was open, as I would go to the shop to pick up a few items and return for breakfast, and he said yes. However, when I returned for breakfast, everything was closed and locked shut. Despite banging on the door and windows, I got no response. Luckily, there was an excellent cafe across the green serving ab excellent breakfast.
I have been using this hotel when it was the CastlePollard hotel for 15 years, and it was always a great experience. I don't think I'll ever return here as it currently operates.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Good location.
Slow service - waited 45 minutes for our meal. One poor lad waa run off his feet, while 2 more experienced staff sauntered around. Felt sorry for the 1 staff trying to manage the bar, serve food, clean tables etc. More staff definitely needed.
