Not entirely satisfied except the location..thorough maintenance needed of the property very poorly managed.
Location is good
Wall mounted heaters were not working in both rooms..it was extremely cold..one plug in heater for whole property doesn’t warm up the cabin. Overnight water leakage from under the cabin outside shower room made carpet wet. No internet/wifi connection. Very limited or no mobile network.

A good base for walking the Rhinogs and Y Llethr, especially if you have a car.
It was self-catering, so I made the breakfast myself! The location was such that I was able to complete my hill-walking programme in the Rhinogs, which was all that mattered to me. The whole operation of checking in and out was completely automated, so when I give the staff zero points, it was because there were zero staff. But I didn't need any staff. The cabin is very well equipped with cooking equipment, utensils and such like. There is even an umbrella, which is thoughtful. The booking.com blurb painted a very accurate and objective picture of what I could expect. Trawsfynydd holiday village, where the cabin is located has a shop which has far more stock than I had been expecting. And the on-site cafe/bar is bright and cheerful, providing set main dishes four or five evenings a week. This could have been a godsend for me, as I came by train and bus, and did not have the use of a car until my son arrived to join me. So, in my view, the positive elements of this place far outweigh any negative ones, which I am invited to mention below, and for that reason, do so.
This is a minor blemish - the toilet handle had to be pumped several times before the toilet would flush, but it did always flush. The wifi was switched off when I arrived. I had to work out how to get it going, and it seemed not to work until the internal battery was fully charged. But eventually I did get it to work efficiently. The same with the heating. The weather was chilly and very wet throughout my stay, even though this was the theoretical summer month of August. Although I was out on the hills most of the time, there were times in the evening and the early morning when I wanted a bit of heating and hiking clothes had to be dried. But the storage heaters in the bedrooms were switched off and there was a notice not to fiddle with the settings, so I didn't. The electric heater in the living space would come on briefly then switch itself off and I had to find a way of overriding this setting, which I did. Guests are asked to place used bed linen and towels in a linen bag, but there was no linen bag that I could find. Also I was a bit confused by the name of the place. It is marketed on booking.com as "Moo-Hoo Snowdonia log cabin", but when you get there, there is no trace of Moo-Hoo, whatever that means. The actual name on the cabin, below the number 8, is "Harr-Ida". But as mentioned above, these are minor points, which did not detract from my overall satisfaction with the place.

Avoid.
Location was very convenient. Very quiet. Kitchen fairly well equipped.
Property generally not clean, especially the carpets. No sieve or collider in kitchen. Microwave didn't work properly. Chair in living room broken. Double mattress had quite a few stains. Wanted £15 to post a lightweight rain jacket that I forgot to pack back to me.

Cosy little cabin in a fantastic location
Excellent location and the cabin was cosy and my kids loved it
The armchair was a bit wobbly and could possibly be changed as I felt it was going to break at any moment. Also could only seat 3 people when watching tv

Basic but great location for walkers and being outdoors

A little tired and dated and the 250 deposit was steep . I wonder when this is returned

disappointed
The equipment of the cottage is adequate, there is everything you need. The location is great, quiet, calm, beautiful views
Very high grass around the facility was not mowed, empty bottles of alcohol around the house, old shoes abandoned on the roof, from the outside the place looked abandoned. Inside, at first glance, it looks clean but garbage is in the mattresses, dust and cobwebs in every room, the shower did not work from the first day and no one helped with these problems. One has the impression that messages are answered by robots, not people, because they are not interested in the fact that the place is neglected.
