About this house rental
Welcome to Fernwood Beach House! Filled with warmth and mellow wood, you'll find all the comforts of home, with cozy accommodations plus a great location and ocean views.
Wood paneled walls and ceilings create a welcoming atmosphere that includes everything from a full kitchen to WiFi and a washer and dryer, so you can sit back and relax. The living room, dining area and kitchen all combine for one large great room on the main floor. Cable and a DVD player (and even movies!) are included, so movie nights are a must in the inviting living room. Settle into either of the two leather sofas, or on either of the two over-stuffed armchairs. On rainy days, choose a book from the shelf and grab a cup of tea to spend a quiet afternoon in.
You can fire up the gas grill on the outside deck to cook up a delicious dish. If grilling isn't your thing, let your soup simmer on the stove in the full kitchen (which includes major appliances (although no dishwasher), a microwave, coffee maker, and more) while you play games at the dining room table for six.
A queen bed is in the downstairs bedroom, which is adjacent to a bathroom with a stand-alone shower. The washer and dryer are in the bathroom as well which makes clean up a breeze.
Up the stairs is the master bedroom, a loft sleeping area with two queen beds, and a bathroom with a jetted soaking tub. The master bedroom features a queen bed along with gorgeous ocean views out the large windows.
Fernwood Beach House is a pet friendly home. One small dog is allowed - not over 20 pounds
Located next to Tolovana Beach Wayside Park and steps from the beach, you can spend lazy days lounging in the sand, collecting sea shells, surfing, and taking naps while listening to the waves crash against the shore. And if the kids need a break from the sandy shores, walk to Tolovana Wayside Park playground before heading home to rinse off.
Play lawn games in the backyard and have a meal picnic style! Or you can always pack your lunch and take it with you down to the beach, where you'll easily spend most of your delightful time.
Take a stroll along the beach to spot Haystack Rock and explore the tide pools during low tide. Grab your hiking boots and drive to Ecola State Park for miles of hiking through lush greenery and spotting incredible panoramic coast views. If you need a break from cooking, try the Warren House for seafood and cocktails, or drive half a mile north to The Wayfarer Restaurant and Lounge. If you want to cook yourself there is the Surfcrest Market around the corner from the house next to Sea Level Bakery. Across the street and to the south is the Fresh Foods market
From exploring the outdoors to snuggling up inside, Fernwood Beach House is the ideal place for a getaway the whole family can enjoy.
You are welcome to bring your dog buddy with you! Please know there's a $60 plus tax fee per dog per stay.

We had a fantastic stay in this cabin. It is steps from the beach, 20 minutes down the beach from Haystack Rock. Cannon Beach is so compact that no destination was more that a few minutes in the car. The cabin itself was very well appointed. We prepared meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the living space. A wonderful beach getaway.

Lovely views and wonderful to be across the street from Tolovana Park with easy access to the beach. We loved watching the bunnies in the back yard and the home had everything we needed. Thank you!

Hi---I am a little hesitant to write in case it may end up on the website even though I have a lot of great things to say about the house---this was the third time of booking it in the past year and a half or two years.
And I called early in the afternoon to see if we could get into the house a little early and we could! So that was so great! Thank you!
It is a great location! And a great view down the street to the ocean. And the outside deck is great! The sunsets while we were there were spectacular! And there is a path to the beach from the Wayside that you can roll down if you have a disability. It's so great and could be a selling feature for the house maybe?
The layout of the place is really nice also and I hope to come back again many times in the future.
But I also have some other issues that I hope are not too annoying but just some suggestions----from someone who is old and beat up . . . . :-)
Downstairs bathroom could use a grab bar near toilet and in shower and really a new and taller toilet. I know, I said I was old and beat up . . . . And this could be a selling point for other people that are old and beat up :-)
Okay! Thanks for asking and I hope you have a great day!

This rental suited our party of 7 beautifully. We loved the location, the size of the house, and how easy it was to cook a meal and serve it outside at the picnic table. Beach access was so easy. We loved our stay.

We loved our stay here! Super cozy and very charming! Short walk to the beach and a great view from upstairs and the downstairs deck. Would absolutely stay again. Beachcomber Vacation Homes is a great company to stay with - they accommodated for every need we could have possibly had.
