Beautiful building and little houses.
The houses were too small for 2 people with suitcases. Tv didn’t work because of streaming. I would have preferred the sleeping area closer to the main building. Weather was very damp and cold and the house got steamed up and clammy.

What a cool concept. The cabin we stayed in was modern, stylish, and comfortable. It's situated so beautifully and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our porch and looking out over the Portree waters with a glass of wine and Talisker whisky in the evening. Check-in was easy (front desk was so friendly and arranged to have Liam take our bags to our cabin via golf cart--a very welcome service after lots of hiking). The complimentary breakfast was also one of the best continental breakfasts we had on our trip (you can order hot food as well for an extra charge). The croissants and breads seemed fresh, nice selection of meats, cheese, cereals, etc. and the tea/coffee service was prompt.
We were there the first week of September which was apparently one of the warmest of the year. I wouldn't expect AC when a place is usually chilly most of the time, but the fan provided on the desk in the room didn't do anything to cool us down (it was so small and you could hardly feel anything with your hand directly in front of it). So, it might be worthwhile for new management to add overhead fans to each cabin? Some people sleep hot anyway even in cool weather.
Bathroom was incredibly small which is fine as it's a cabin/yurt, but I'd love if they added a bigger shelf for toiletry bags.
Sunrise poured directly into the breakfast room and it was hot and blinding. Maybe some slim retractable shades would be a worthwhile addition.

Location, decor, views, staff, good, bar
Unable to get our car beside our cabin. Also cooked breakfast not included in price, only continental included.

The idea is great. The hubs are cute and cozy. The main building is nicely designed and very atmospheric, the views are great. For half the price it would be a recommendable place to stay on the isle of Skye!
The price is way too high. You notice that the staff is not experienced. The bathrobe and towel for sauna have to be picked up separately (not provided in the rooms), there is no shower at the sauna. The ways are very long. Some rooms have a bad view- very dissapointing, given that we booked the „view“ option. The rooms are cozy but have no heating. Ventilators can be ordered. The bathrooms are indeed tiny and very impracticable. The rooms are Missing hooks to hang things.

Breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful by our late arrival.
We decided for this place because of late arrival of our ferry from Tarbert. This was the only available accomodation in this distance from the port, another one required additional 40 minutes drive. The cabin was ok at first sight, however the bathroom is very uncomfortable, especially the entrance to shower is a joke. Underfloor heating didn't function at all. It was very cold in the night. The bed was creaking. It was the worst overnight in Scotland. The price paid for this is nonsense. Never more.

The complimentary breakfast was cold and continental. Hot items were additional price. The room was
very small and basic. Our dinner the first night was delicious but unfortunately, they could not accommodate
our party for the second night and we had to head into town.
The hotel is relatively new and still working out the kinks.

Beautiful location overlooking Portree
Stylish pods, bar and restaurant
Friendly staff
Cabins were very hot with very little ventilation.
Curtains were the wrong size and not hung correctly meaning the room was very bright in the morning.
Plunge pool at sauna full of green algae.
Continental breakfast was poor, running out of plates/glasses etc, run out of bread/condiments with no body checking and replenishing. Cheese and meat left unrefridgerated in full sun in restaurant which is essentially a green house. No fruit or yoghurt.

Beautiful cabins, brand new, and very stylish lobby and whisky bar. Good restaurant on site.
Very friendly staff. Great internet throughout. Cool mountain set up. Very lively place inspire of being away from town.
The property is still under construction, wish this could have been advertised. There is no landscape in place to cover some of the areas that still have construction material, or parking lot and other buildings. If this was manicured with landscape it would be much better. Cabin size is small but good, maybe missing a desk. Wish beds were a bit softer and that it had darker blackout curtains. Breakfast was very basic, there were no fresh fruits.

This is a great concept, unique and very well done. It is also classy with a great view and with a sauna, plunge pool, games room and a bar, there is plenty to like.
The hot weather meant the cabins and the main buildings were extremely hot and there was no air conditionings to counter this

The staff at the hotel was brilliant and their knowledge of the different whiskies behind the counter was second to none. The hotel was very accommodating and rebooked our table at Fraser's after we were delayed.

Cabins were comfortable. New so missing some things. Put the mini fridge in the cabinet so there is a place to put personal items. No towel hooks. Nowhere to put personal bathroom items. Add something free standing? Black out curtains were great but no ventilation besides the front door so a lack of privacy. Add sheers or something? Old coffee in the coffee pot. Only decaf pods. Mini fridges full of water.
Restaurant was a disappointment. Can't order cocktails as the bar is a separate biz. Dinner took 2.5 hrs. Comp'd the two inexpensive appetizers. Why not the 3rd? Menus were not assembled completely and mistyped which shows the lack of detail they have. Cont Bkfst was sad. Pastries and cereals but you have to pay for toast. No cured meats, cheeses or fruits. Can order hot items if you have an hour to wait for scrambled eggs. Restaurant Mgr empties boxed OJ into the dispenser which can be done in the back. Trying for high end but sorely lacking in service and offerings. Chef/Owner was bussing tables which is great teamwork but not once did he ask a guest how they enjoyed the restaurant.

The cabins themselves were comfortable and fairly clean, and the view down to Portree was lovely. We also appreciated that the hotel accommodated our request for 3 rooms close to each other.
We appreciate the hotel recently opened and expected teething problems, but we were disappointed with the quality of our experience given the price we paid and the fact it is advertised as a 4-star property. The hotel should address the following for future guests:
The Cabins: The TV didn't work in any of the 3 rooms we booked as there was no signal. The coffee machine was broken in Cabin 17. There was no shampoo, just shower gel - for the price we paid, we expected a separate shampoo at least, if not conditioner as well. The design of the bathrooms was also flawed, the towel rail was placed above the toilet roll holder, so the toilet paper got damp, and the shower door opened into the sink, so it was cramped. The snacks and tea weren’t refilled on the second day of our stay. The landscaping around the cabins was awful – lots of open pipes and unsafe holes. We appreciated the staff driving our luggage up to our cabins on check-in but would suggest that this service is extended to guests such as my 71-year-old mum who found the steep long walk difficult.
Breakfast: We were told that the breakfast was included in the price we paid but a cooked breakfast was only available at an additional cost. The continental breakfast that was included was poor - no ham & cheese, small dry pastries, and the queues for the coffee machine each morning were so slow that the queues blocked the entrance to breakfast. The continental buffet table was also in a cramped position at the bottom of stairs so wasn't accessible for more than one or two people at a time.
The sauna: No robes (or additional towels) were provided so we had to walk down to the sauna in the cold wearing our bathroom towels and coats. One of the two saunas on site was out of order for our entire stay. Most importantly, a male staff member came into the sauna unannounced – as a female in my swimwear, I found this experience inappropriate and uncomfortable.

The main hotel building and restaurant were beautiful with a really nice vibe. whisky bar was great too. Also loved the seating area next to the whisky bar where we had a game of scrabble, glass of wine and took in the view! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The evening menu was delicious.
No complaints. we were aware that it was a new venture so a few pointers really rather than ‘what I didn’t like’….. as generally we loved it!
better lighting to the cabins at night. I was travelling with my elderly mum and it was a bit of a stumble. someone suggested a golf buggy for getting to cabins and car park. also a good idea.
cabin was a little bit cold on arrival but soon warmed up once I discovered the underfloor heating.

the hub is just AMAZING, it’s great. cabins are lovely too (although pretty snug). Dinner at frasers was very good too
we stayed in mid April - had only been open 6 days and isn’t yet landscaped! felt like a shame to not get the finished experience
the breakfast included is really under whelming for the price of the stay (vs other places we stayed on the island.)
the gravel on the walk ways is a pain, it gets everywhere! plus the cabins are really far from the hub, worth be worth sorting out a golf buggy to help guests with bags etc

Great location to explore Skye, amazing restaurant and staff. Very comfortable accommodation and huts were a memorable experience.
4.0 / 5.0
Location has good view over portree out to raasay.
Main hub nice and modern decor.
Bar has nice cosy atmosphere and great whisky collection.
Restaurant menu interesting and a very reasonable price.
Staff very friendly and down to earth.
Rooms/cabins nicely decorated , comfy beds and nice shower.
Fresh towels weren't provided after housekeeping had been.
Restaurant menu would from more non fish options and full scottish breakfast was missing beans (for the tattie scone).
Some dishes could use more seasoning but this is personal preference.
Breakfast lacked fruit.
